Friends of ALIPAC and members of the American media,
By now, many of you may have heard that both Fox News and CNN conducted polls in the last thirty days with some surprising results. According to the Fox News poll done via the firm Opinion Dynamics on August 10-11, 2010; a whopping 68% percent of Americans favor "giving illegal immigrants who pay taxes and obey the law a second chance by allowing them to live in the United States"!
Looks like FOX NEWS was following the lead of CNN when they released a poll run by the Opinion Research Corporation on July 16-21, 2010 claiming that 81% percent of Americans favor "creating a program that would allow illegal immigrants already living in the United States for a number of years to stay and apply for US citizenship provided they are employed and payback taxes."
Isn't that amazing everyone? An astounding 68%-81% percent of Americans want illegal aliens to stay and become voters?
Not only are we scoffing at this flagrant abuse of the truth that should be prosecutable as mass fraud, but so are the candidates for public office that have run their own polls in their districts.
These fake polls are the best money can buy and they are designed to confuse you, the candidates, and Congress.
The Open Borders Lobby and Amnesty supporters are using these two bogus polls to encourage illegal aliens to stay in America at a time when many are fleeing. They are also using these polls to lobby Congress and candidates but we have a plan to put a stop to this fraud.
Yet, we cannot underestimate the power of these bogus lies.
Thus, ALIPAC is beginning steps today to destroy these lies in full public view.
The fake polls contradict a poll run by Fox using the very same polling firm Opinion Dynamics run on May 18-19, 2010 that found in question #33 that 61% of Americans believe we need to enforce our existing immigration laws vs. 34% that believe we need to overhaul our laws.
FOX News and Opinion Dynamics might want to give more time between polls before publicizing such direct and contradictory results. We are not sure what kind of nation shattering changes may have occurred that would shift public opinion so dramatically in favor of Amnesty in just two months.
Perhaps the answer is in the announcement between these two polls that Fox News owner and Newscorp CEO Rupert Murdoch now supports Comprehensive Amnesty for illegal aliens?
Fox News Owner Rupert Murdoch Pushes for Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
In fact, our current collection of polls and surveys on the matter at ALIPAC, which is the top collection of polls on this subject in the nation, has been updated today and now includes more than 50 polls that contradict the claims by FOX and CNN that 68-81% percent of Americans want the illegals to stay!
Take a look and study these results carefully so you will know how Americans really feel about illegal immigration. You must understand clearly that you speak for the majority of Americans and that some of these other polls are lying by trying to cast your view as the minority view.

If we were to believe the false claims by FOX and CNN of mass support for Amnesty for illegal aliens that would allow illegals to become voters thus destroying any hopes of future border security or immigration enforcement in America, however, there are some major problems with this logic.
Let's assume for argument's sake that American citizens are really that dumb.
This would mean that 70% percent of Americans support deportation (August 20-23, 2010 ZOGBY International Poll), but not for the illegal aliens currently in the US who can pay taxes, a fine and stay. This would mean that 69% of Texans and over 60% of all Americans want an Arizona style law in their state (Rasmussen Reports, July 2010), but not for the illegal aliens already here to be affected by it. It would mean that 70% of Americans favor sanctions on employers that hire illegals (Rasmussen Reports, June 2010), but not for the ones currently hiring illegals which can pay a fine, taxes, and become legal.
It would mean that while 80% percent of U.S. voters oppose proposals for government-backed health-care plans for illegal immigrants (Rasmussen Reports poll, June, 2009), 77% of American adults are opposed to making drivers licenses available to people who are in the country illegally (November 2007, Rasmussen Reports), and 81% oppose in-state tuition for illegals (Civitas Poll, NC, 2005), that 68-81% of Americans favor allowing illegals to stay, have healthcare benefits, licenses, and in-state tuition.
These wild conflicting numbers just DO NOT ADD UP!
ALIPAC is so confident that we are right and these new claims by FOX and CNN are wrong, that we are going to recreate the polls they ran. If for any reason ALIPAC's new polls should show that 70-80% of Americans want the illegals to stay, we will give full and public consideration to disbanding ALIPAC.
We will make that wager here and now because we know we are right.
For now, we are updating our collection of scientific polls and we will be sending accurate polling information to every federal candidate in America.
We want every ALIPAC supporter to know the truth and be confident as activists in that truth.
We will make an announcement soon about how we intend to reproduce the CNN and Fox News polls and put the raw data results on public display online and circulate them to the nation via national press release.
It is time for these fraudsters who are using their mega wealth and influence to conduct this mass fraud upon the American public to know that the the truth has more power than lies and that we are well equipped and prepared to get the truth to the American public.
The current federal laws, and requirements of the US Constitution, combined with more than 60% percent of Americans want the illegal aliens to go home. They are already going home in large numbers, and that is how it is going to be in America.
Real World Facts…Who Is The Man Behind The Ground Zero Mosque?
Developer Of Community Center Has Lengthy Record, With Numerous Arrests Dating Back To 1990
NEW YORK (CBS 2) — As the Ground Zero mosque controversy continues to simmer, questions continue about the background of the man who wants to build the $100 million Islamic cultural and religious center.
Mosque developer Sharif El-Gamal has often been reluctant to answer questions.
After he won the right to tear down the 152-year-old building blocks from the site of the 9/11 attacks, El-Gamal got defensive when asked about the mosque by CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer.
“It’s a community center, if you call it a community center, we would talk,” El-Gamal said.
Kramer reports the developer’s reluctance to talk may have been related to his prior run-ins with the law.
His most recent arrest was in 2005 for assault on a man he met while working as a waiter at Serafina Restaurant, who sublet an apartment from his brother. He reportedly punched the man, breaking his nose and cheekbone and spit on him.
El-Gamal first said he didn’t hit the man, but arrest documents obtained by CBS 2 showed he later conceded “his face could have run into my hand.”
Records showed El-Gamal also had trouble coming up with the $15,000 settlement reached in 2008, and had to pay interest . El-Gamal also has a number of other arrests on his record:
-In 1990, he was arrested in Nassau County and pled guilty to disorderly conduct.
-In 1992, he pled guilty in Nassau to DWI and paid a $350 fine.
-In 1993, he pled guilty in Nassau to attempted petit larceny and paid a $100 fine.
-In 1994, arrested for disorderly conduct in Manhattan.
-In 1998, there was another Manhattan disorderly conduct arrest.
-In 1999, yet another Manhattan disorderly conduct arrest.
A potential problem for the mosque developer is a deposition he gave in the assault case in October 2007. When asked if he was ever convicted or pled guilty to a crime, El-Gamal replied “no.”
Lately, he has been trying to resurrect his image, sitting down for a lengthy 60 Minutes interview with Scott Pelley.
When Pelley asked if it occurred to him that putting a project so close to Ground Zero would heighten tensions, El-Gamal replied “not at all.”
“I did not hold myself or my faith accountable for the tragedy,” El-Gamal said.
El-Gamal also owes over $227,000 in unpaid real estate taxes and a spokesman for the Department of Finance said interest will be added for each and every day its unpaid.
Another question surrounding the debate is whether the Muslim cleric of the mosque — Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf — knew about El-Gamal’s criminal background and unpaid taxes before partnering with him.
El-Gamal refused repeated requests from CBS 2 Monday to comment on the story.
Terrific: Bankrupt Freddie Mac hires “diversity officer”
By Michelle Malkin • August 31, 2010
Taxpayer-supported mortgage behemoth Freddie Mac — yes, the same government-sponsored entity that is sucking $64 billion of your money to stay afloat — is proud to announce that it is squandering more of your bucks on a “diversity officer:”
Freddie Mac, the government-controlled mortgage buyer, on Monday named Subha V. Barry to head its newly formed office of diversity and inclusion.
As chief diversity officer, Barry will work with the company’s business units to ensure they’re maximizing opportunities in diverse markets. She will also ensure the company is utilizing diverse talent among its employee and suppliers, and developing strategies focused on the needs of a diverse work force.
Barry will also design the new executive diversity council.
You can thank diversity-mongering Maxine Waters for stuffing the race preference mandates into the financial “reform” law.
It points to Mecca The Flight 93 memorial is a terrorist memorial mosque, Part 1: It points to Mecca.
Video begins with Tom Burnett Senior's appeal to the American people to please help stop the Park Service from planting a giant Islamic shaped crescent atop his son's grave. The half-mile wide crescent, originally named the Crescent of Embrace, points almost exactly to Mecca. That makes it a mihrab, the Mecca-direction indicator around which every mosque is built. (Some mihrabs are pointed arch shape, but the archetypical mihrab is crescent shaped.)
A second typical mosque feature is the 93 foot tall Tower of Voices, which as Mr. Burnett notes: Looks like a minaret, and has a crescent on top. These and a host of other Islamic and terrorist memorializing features all remain completely intact in the so-called redesign.
The design is called the Circle of Embrace now, but according to the Park Service's own website the circle is still broken, and in the exact same places as before. The unbroken part of the circle, what symbolically remains standing in the wake of 9/11, is still a giant Islamic shaped crescent, still pointing to Mecca.
OP-ED: Thanks for the reminder, Glenn--by Michael Reagan August 30, 2010
Glenn Beck’s remarkable rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial Saturday was a wake-up call for his beloved America. This nation, he reminded us, is and has been since its founding a nation under God. Failure to recognize our absolute dependence upon God, he said, has put this nation in peril.
His warning echoed what my father once delivered when he told Americans, "When we stop being a nation under God, we will be a nation gone under.”
For a long time we have been slowly drifting away from that reality, acting as if our destiny were solely in our own hands — it’s as if we were saying to the Almighty, “Thanks for the ten suggestions, and such trivial admonitions as the Sermon on the Mount, but we’d rather do it our up-to-date modern way.”
I don’t need to remind you that doing it our way: slaughtering the innocent unborn by the tens of millions; now defying the integrity of marriage, that most ancient of institutions; allowing our government to be profligate not only with our own resources but those of generations to come has led us down the road to ruin for us and our children and our children’s children.
We have allowed our government and our representatives in Congress to squander not only our financial resources but those of future generations of American so that we can enjoy all those wondrous benefits Washington offers us, now and allegedly free of charge.
We have replaced the old adage that God proposes, man disposes. Now it’s solely man proposes. And what a mess we’ve made.
In his book, “The God that Did Not Fail” (Encounter Books), Robert Royal warns that the movement toward “progressive irreligion” encourages ignorance of religion’s unparalleled importance in the development and maintenance of western culture.
Glenn echoed that explanation of our current condition.
Prior to the Glenn Beck rally Saturday, our newest deity, the all-knowing mass media, predicted that Beck would rant and rage about politics and the current administration and perhaps provoke violence on a frightening scale.
It never occurred to the atheistic media that Glenn’s message would be about God’s love and our solemn obligation to love one another even as we love ourselves.
Much to their astonishment, instead of dwelling on the political differences that divide is, Glenn beseeched us to acknowledge our absolute dependence upon the Divine will and our obligation to love God and our neighbor, no matter who he is.
A friend of mine complained to me the other day that when he went to confession, the priest told him that he was obliged to love his neighbors, all of them. When he almost jokingly asked if that meant he even had to love Barack Obama, the priest said an emphatic “yes.”
Sometimes, he complained, God demands the impossible. The priest reminded him that with God’s help, all things are possible.
That, in a nutshell, is what Glenn Beck was telling us last Saturday: Love of God and love of neighbor, not political rhetoric and dissension, is the sole solution to our national woes.
My Dad, Ronald Reagan, warned us that a nation that shuns God is on the road to ruin.
Thanks again for the reminder, Glenn.

Have Dems re-enslaved blacks? Putting falsity of left’s ‘racial progress’ in black and white
When black members of the tea-party movement this week rejected unfounded accusations of racism at a news conference in Washington, a provocative comment was made by one activist that is worthy of further exploration.
"Democrats have re-enslaved America," said Kevin Jackson, president of the Black Conservative Coalition. He said tea-party activists, if successful, would reduce the size of government and set in motion another Emancipation Proclamation, the document that President Abraham Lincoln signed that effectively ended slavery.
"This time, even the white folks get freed," said Jackson.
That statement about reinstating slavery may just sound like hyperbole. But there's more to it than meets the eye.
The evidence has never been more compelling that Democrats and "progressives" and leftists have not done anything positive for blacks since some of them supported the Voting Rights Act of 1964. (It's necessary to point out that only some Democrats supported this bill. Many opposed it. Republicans voted in bigger percentages for the legislation.)
That's not to say Democrats, "progressives" and leftists haven't attempted to curry political favor with blacks since then. But I have been racking my brain to try to come up with even one policy they have promoted that has actually been beneficial for blacks or other minorities in the last 46 years.
Can you think of any?
Let's take a look at a few of the possibilities:
Some would say affirmative action has been a positive step for blacks. I would disagree. I believe it has hurt blacks, making their hirings, promotions, acceptances and contracts suspect as the result of official policies of racial preferences rather than merit-based decisions. It has also empowered blacks' new "masters" in government to make decisions about their fate rather than employers, school officials and corporations.
Some would say that welfare-style redistribution schemes have represented a positive step for blacks. I would disagree. In fact, they have been terribly destructive and contributed to the creation of greater government dependency for minorities and less self-reliance and personal responsibility.
Some would suggest that exposure of racism by these forces has contributed to a decline of this insidious force in our society. I would disagree. In fact, the pendulum has swung so far toward reckless and irresponsible accusations of racism at every turn that the very charge is losing its power and meaning.
Do you see what I mean?
I could continue, but each time I come up with a racial policy for which Democrats, "progressives" and leftists congratulate themselves, they turn out to be more self-serving policies than initiatives that resulted in actual benefit to minorities.
So maybe there is something to Kevin Jackson. Maybe he's right. Maybe Democrats really have re-enslaved blacks.
In fact, I don't even think it's a "maybe." It's not a question of "if" they have, it's more a question of "why."
Was it intentional? Or were the motivations good but only the methods bad?
Personally, I think many rank-and-file Democrats, "progressives" and leftists actually have good intentions. But I can't accept that the leaders still do – not after so many decades of experience.
To believe that is to believe they are all stupid, incapable of recognizing that results don't match intentions.
In many ways today the black community is less functional than it was during the worst days of the Jim Crow era. Back then, the family structure – the very building block of community – was still intact. Today, the white family is disintegrating the way the black family did following the manipulations of paternalistic government policies.
In effect, it seems, the Democrats, "progressives" and leftists are trying to put whites in bondage to them and government the way they re-enslaved blacks.
And that's what makes the other statement by Kevin Jackson so prophetic: "This time, even the white folks get freed," he said.
Wouldn't it be nice?

Obama’s Department of Justice Puts Out Master Patriot Hit-list
The Department of Justice has fired a salvo in the war against patriotic Americans supporting the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The DOJ has issued Investigating Terrorism and Criminal Extremism –Terms and Concepts, a 120-page propaganda addendum described as “a glossary designed primarily as a tool for criminal justice professionals to enhance their understanding of words relating to extremist terminology, phrases, activities, symbols, organizations, and selected names that they may encounter while conducting criminal investigations or prosecutions of members of extremist organizations.”
The State Department has submitted a report to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights in conjunction with something called the Universal Periodic Review. The report is the federal government’s assessment of how the country is doing on the human rights front.
The very first line of the report states: “The story of the United States of America is one guided by universal values shared the world over–that all are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights.” Perhaps I’m being too picky or hypersensitive, but I couldn’t help but ask upon reading that sentence, “Would it have killed you to say that all are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights?” After, the Declaration of Independence (to which the report is plainly alluding) uses that language.
More substantively . . . the notion that these are “universal values shared the world over” is simply false. I devoutly wish it were true that these values are “universal” and “shared the world over.” But the evidence — including every day’s news — suggests otherwise. To be sure, it is undeniable that all people are created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights — even if governments do not respect those rights or acknowledge their Source.
Something else that stuck in my craw: the report implies that the U.S. doesn’t adequately respect “freedom of association” because Congress has not yet passed so-called “card check” legislation favored by many big labor unions, but says not a word about the Supreme Court’s refusal to protect (in CLS v. Martinez) a real right of free association.
And then there’s the report’s embrace of the homosexual legal agenda. The report suggests that the unwillingness of the people in most states to redefine marriage is an American betrayal of “human rights.” Implicitly condemning the vast majority of Americans (those who embrace the traditional definition of marriage) as complicit in an alleged ”human rights” violation is truly beyond the pale.
But I am quite certain that genuine violators of human rights will be so impressed by the U.S.’s self-flagellation that they will immediately cease their oppressive practices. Right.
Tell the Truth and Turn to God, Glenn Beck Tells Hundreds of Thousands at His Restoring Honor Rally

Washington (CNSNews.com) – Americans may disagree on their politics, and that’s okay, Glenn Beck told a crowd numbering in the hundreds of thousands on Saturday. But for the sake of the nation, Americans must agree on their values and principles.
Change for the better begins in each one of us, Beck said, as he urged Americans to turn to God – just as the Founding Fathers did. Your country needs you, he said.
Under warm, sunny skies, Americans from across the country trooped to the National Mall for Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally.
From the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the crowd rolled back to the World War II Memorial, and beyond that to the sloping lawn of the Washington Monument. Trying to reach the Mall from all sides, some people were too far away to clearly hear what was being said.
Near the end of the rally, a U.S. Park Police helicopter made several loops around the Mall, prompting Beck to joke that the crowd must be huge since the chopper was violating restricted air space to count it.

The crowd, as large as it was, was quiet and respectful. There was some flag-waving, but there were few, if any, signs visible on the Mall – in keeping with Beck’s request not to politicize the rally. Some people wore T-shirts with political messages, but many more people wore clothing with no message at all.
This was not a tea party event. Unlike the Al Sharpton rally, which took place Saturday afternoon at a nearby location, people did not come to the Mall to vent their frustration. Many at the Restoring Honor rally seemed to be seeking inspiration.
This was the kind of gathering where the frequent mentions of God, far from causing offense, drew applause.

With its theme of faith, hope and charity, the rally resembled an old-fashioned religious revival. And certainly the message was one of reviving a nation in turmoil.
Beginning around 10 a.m. with Sarah Palin’s call to honor the troops who defend us, the rally continued with various speakers handing out medals to three unsung heroes who exemplify the kind of faith, hope and charity that inspired the rally.
The Rev. C.L. Jackson of Houston, the longtime pastor of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, was honored for his faith; St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, introduced by team manager Tony La Russa, was honored for inspiring hope through his family foundation that helps children with Down Syndrome; and billionaire philanthropist Jon M. Huntsman Sr. of Utah was honored for his charitable work in funding cancer research.
While Beck honored three living heroes at his rally, he also invoked patriots long dead.

He recited Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address to make the point that what is said at the Restoring Honor rally matters little, if it produces no action afterward on the part of those listening. (“If people awaken and turn around and see that we have lost our way, and they do something about it in their own lives, not through politics but in their own lives, then it's an important day. Otherwise, it was just a nice day out in the sunshine,” Beck told Fox News Sunday after the rally.)
Beck talked about George Washington’s many personal sacrifices for the good of the country. He also expressed the hope that somewhere in the crowd there is another George Washington: “He may be 8 years old,” Beck said, but “this is the moment that he dedicates his life, that he sees giants around him.”
Beck also talked about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message that the content of one’s character should count more than skin color. Of all the patriots he invoked, Beck said he could relate the most to Martin Luther King – “probably because we haven’t carved him in marble yet.”
The crowd applauded after one of the several large screens set up on the Mall showed clips of MLK making his “I Have a Dream” speech exactly 47 years ago – at that same place.
Interviewed after the rally, Beck told Fox News Sunday the message he tried to convey was to “be your highest self” and to “stand for those things that are right.”
“I think every American has a role in saving this country,” Beck told Fox News’s Chris Wallace. “Whether you're Democrat, Republican, independent, it doesn't matter. We all know the country's in trouble. We may disagree on how to solve it, but we all know the country's in trouble.”
Beck, responding to a question, said the size of the crowd at his rally sends two messages to politicians: First, “a good number of people are not happy with the direction we're going,” he said.
And second – “We want the truth. Americans just want the truth. And that's why I said [at the rally], demand the truth from yourself first before you demand it from someone else.”
Obama Says He Ignored Beck Rally "Restoring Honor" “It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country. That’s been true throughout our history,” he said. But “what I’m focused on is making sure that the decisions we’re making now are going to be be not good for the nightly news, not good even necessarily for the next election, but are good for the next generation.”

VANDAL WHO FIREBOMBED CARNAHAN’S OFFICE IDENTIFIED – He’s a Dem Operative & Disgruntled Employee ...Update: Carnahan Confesses. Last Tuesday August 17, 2010, Rep. Russ Carnahan’s office was reportedly vandalized and “firebombed” at 2 AM in the morning. Hours later police arrested a suspect for the crime and held him for several hours.
Of course, when the “firebombing” was reported local leftists blamed the tea party activists.
Then things got really weird. The police released the suspect and the Carnahan camp went silent. Carnahan employees were seen dumping documents into a dumpster but refused to to talk to reporters. There was a complete blackout on information. Now we know why.
The suspect was reportedly a disgruntled progressive activist employed by Russ Carnahan. An unnamed source familiar with the case released the information. Suspect Chris Powers reportedly was upset because he did not get his check so he firebombed the Carnahan finance offices at 2 in the morning. What a complete shock.
Powers was a paid canvasser for Russ Carnahan.
Powers is a man on the edge, who has suffered a lot of personal trauma in the recent past. Powers, a radical leftist, is accused of a pretty serious crime in what could only be considered a desperate cry for help.
The Carnahan campaign and their supporters have either ignored the incident rather than recognize the serious nature of a federal crime, instead allow the incident to be reported and used as an example of right wing domestic terrorism.
Those who accused the St Louis Tea Party of such horrible actions should be ashamed, but more important, they should be called on the carpet for their behavior. They need to apologize!
Newspapers attempted to tie the firebombing to last fall’s attacks by healthcare bill supporters and SEIU activists on Kenneth Gladney. They need to think hard before linking a clearly non-violent movement with the sad actions of broken man.
Chris Powers was in the local news when Barack Obama came to town in March to push his unpopular nationalized health care plan. He spoke with the local public radio channel and led an astroturfed protest outside of the Obama-McCaskill fundraiser.
Chris Powers is also a TPM blogger under the name Ripper McCord. He has been active in the progressive movement for years. Update: Carnahan Confesses Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, 8:48 AM

NORTH CAROLINA Awarded Millions in Race to the top funding
North Carolina learned Tuesday that it will receive millions of dollars in the second phase of federal Race to the Top funding, a federal grant designed to reward states for ambitious educational innovation.
After failing in its first bid for the education-reform initiative, North Carolina was selected earlier this month as one of 19 finalists for part of the $3.4 billion in federal funding.
Advocates for public charter schools are alarmed that the administration's decision to reward North Carolina may signal a shift in the original intent of the Race to the Top initiative.
Applications were scored on a 500 point scale, 40 of which were directly tied to "successful conditions for charter schools." On its original application, North Carolina was deemed to have forfeited at least 17 points due to its restrictive charter cap.
State lawmakers did not take measures to lift the cap during the short legislative session, an oversight that some critics believe should have prevented North Carolina from advancing in the second round. Education reform advocates remain convinced that the state is not competitively positioned.
"From the beginning, the Race to the Top program placed heavy emphasis on the role of charter schools and the importance of supporting high-quality charter school movements," said Darrell Allison, President of Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina. "Rewarding a state like North Carolina, where charter laws are restrictive not only because of the arbitrary cap but also because of inequities in funding and operation, is confusing to say the least."
Todd Ziebarth, Vice President for Policy with the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, agrees that the decision is not in keeping with the original intent of Race to the Top.
"Considering that other states took meaningful legislative action on charter schools to better compete for the federal initiative, we did not expect the U.S. Department of Education to select a state like North Carolina," said Ziebarth.
In June, Education Week and the Editorial Projects in Education Research Center released their 2010 Diplomas Count study on national graduation rates, ranking North Carolina 45th out of 50 states. According to the study, the state's graduation rate is 57.8%, which is 11 points worse than the national average.
Reform advocates cite national studies linking choice initiatives such as public charter schools to improved graduation rates. In a 2009 study by the RAND Corp, for instance, charter graduation rates and college attendance rates were shown to be better than traditional district school rates by 15 percentage points and eight percentage points, respectively.
"Ultimately,” said Ziebarth, “this decision sends the wrong message to the rest of the nation about the role of charter schools in educational reform.”

In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9.
The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy.
Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce.
To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.
Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.
The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.
The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.
In the West World ( America ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.
By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.
Ripping the West in Two.
Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two.
She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.
Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza .
When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.
But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing.. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.
In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.
For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.
Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.
While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others..
While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism.
It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.
While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.
(In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. is one... and there are others...)
I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!
It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful.. some may be but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam.. the peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion. While America is getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America ..
The Department of Transportation awarded $8 billion among 31 states to begin developing America's first nationwide high-speed intercity passenger rail service. Soon, Americans might find themselves rocketing along ribbons of rails at 200 mph in sleek, painted passenger cars -- never stopping until they arrive at destinations awake and refreshed, says CNN.
Despite funding and promises from the government, high-speed rail comes with its share of opponents, who say it is too expensive and will not save energy. Some even question if it will ever be built.
Of all the slips of the tongue and unintentional admissions by this administration, Robert Gibbs' "Professional Left" comment may well be the one they wish they could squeeze back into their collective windpipe the most:
“Democrats are acknowledging the failure of their predictions that the health care legislation would grow more popular after its passage, as its benefits became clear and rhetoric cooled. … The presentation also concedes that the fiscal and economic arguments that were the White House’s first and most aggressive sales pitch have essentially failed.” Read the article: http://blog.heritage.org/2010/08/23/morning-bell-the-left-is-in-full-retreat/

Faced with rising health costs, large employers plan to shift burden to workers
By Mike Lillis - 08/18/10 11:46 AM ET
Faced with skyrocketing healthcare costs and new insurance rules under healthcare reform, more of the nation's biggest businesses are planning to hike premiums and cost-sharing measures on their employees next year, according to a survey of those companies released Wednesday.
Seventy percent of large employers said they will eliminate lifetime dollar caps on overall benefits, according to the latest annual survey conducted by the National Business Group on Health (NBGH), while 63 percent plan to increase premium rates in 2011, up from 57 percent this year.
Forty-six percent intend to hike maximum out-of-pocket costs for workers next year, up from 36 percent in 2010. Forty-four percent intend to increase in-network deductibles.
An additional 5 percent plan to drop retiree healthcare coverage in 2011, while another 60 percent areeyeing that strategy for the future, the survey found. That trend, NBGH said, is based on healthcare reform's gradual move to close the doughnut hole in Medicare's prescription drug benefit — a provision "making Medicare Part D benefits richer," the group said.
Business leaders say the benefit changes are necessary to keep companies profitable in the face of skyrocketing healthcare costs. Indeed, the surveyed companies expect their health benefit costs to jump an average of 8.9 percent in 2011, versus 7 percent this year.
"While the health reform law has forced employers to evaluate their health care benefit strategies and decide whether to comply with the law or lose grandfathered status, they haven’t lost sight of the fact that controlling rising costs remains one of, if not, their highest priority," NBGH President Helen Darling said in a statement. "They have to foot the bill, not the government."
"With cost increases expected to accelerate next year," Darling added, "many of the plan design changes employers are making are being done to help curb those increases, as they have to do every year."
The findings are sure to fuel the debate over the reform law's effects on healthcare costs, as the Obama administration continues to tout the consumer benefits surrounding the insurance reforms, and conservative critics continue to blast the changes as a burdensome intrusion into private insurance markets.
Among the other key findings:
• Twenty-five percent of large businesses plan to hike the co-pay or co-insurance costs for prescription drug benefits at retail pharmacies, while 21 percent have the same plan for mail-order pharmacy benefits.
• Twenty-six percent will remove annual caps on overall benefits.
• Thirty-seven percent plan to alter annual or lifetime limits on specific benefits, including dental, mental health and infertility benefits.
• Thirteen percent said they will eliminate pre-existing condition exclusions for youngsters.
The numbers were based on responses from 72 large employers representing more than 3.7 million employees, NBGH said. The survey was conducted in May and June of this year.
Glenn Beck says that this Saturday’s 8/28 “Restoring Honor” rally is about far more than just politics.
“This isn’t a rah-rah USA kind of thing. This is a sacred reflective spot in our nation… the Reflecting Pool,” said Beck, in an exclusive interview with Townhall.com and Townhall Magazine. “I think if you stand between Lincoln and Washington, spiritually, mentally, morally, we will heal our country.”
Healing his country is at the top of the agenda for the media mogul, who has recently introduced a prayer to his daytime radio show and frequently touches on his spiritual background during his top-ranked cable program. Restoring Honor is one way to propel his talk into action, and to provide a platform for agenda items that he plans on releasing at the rally.
“We have worked very, very hard on something that is extraordinarily delicate and fragile. It will be announced at the end of this, as the beginning of something that I believe will have restorative change as a result,” said Beck. “I don’t mean restore it back 2000, or George Bush, I mean restore us back to where we belong and where we should be as a nation and where we have been very few times in our nation’s history.”
The rally will take place between 10 and 2pm, Beck said that he had been working on something for the past eight months that had not been done in 240 years. He did not say if that was a reference to the Badge of Military Merit, issued in 1780, or has something to do with our nation’s founding, in 1776. What he did say was that the event will be of historic proportions.
“There is a revolution coming, whether you like it or not, whether that be a hot revolution or a cold revolution. A revolution is already underway in America,” said Beck. “Now who’s going to win? Is it going to be those who understand the Constitution and our founding principles and know that we have gone off those principles decades ago? Or are we going to throw this baby out with the bath water and say “we have got to try something entirely new”? That’s the question of our age and we better decide which side you are on.”
It’s clear which side Beck is on. Through a mix of Christian theology and political evangelism, he’s established himself as a man who is nothing if not dedicated to our Constitution and a religious order.
“I see this as a George Washington said, ‘Meet me on the battlefield of ideas.’…Does man have a right to decide his own destiny without the coddling of the collective? Does man pay for the sins of the mistakes of his father or for the grandeur of his father does he get reward? Or does a man have to stand on his own two feet and live and die in his own merit with the understanding that there are some, some, in our society that just can’t stand on their own two feet and we have a responsibility to take care of those. Is that where we are headed?”
Perhaps another option is an oligarchy, said Beck. He is especially concerned about the intersection of politics and power. “Or are we headed towards… some sort of controlling government that will only allow man to expand, succeed, and fail just so much. That’s the first battle and that’s the battlefield of ideas,” he said.
Beck has received scores of criticism from those who say the timing of his event – on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s "I Have a Dream" speech – seeks to overshadow the civil rights movement in a negative or demeaning way. For example, Media Matters has titled the event Glenn Beck's 8-28 "reclaim the civil rights movement" rally. But Beck is nonplussed.
“I’ve read Martin Luther King’s speeches, I’ve read his sermons, I have listened and respect the words he said, I take him at his face value and that is to follow God, listen to God, be peaceful, but stand for the right of man to be equal and have an equal shot,” said Beck. “That it is not about the color of skin, it is about the content of character. I don’t know if there is going to be a word on stage that Martin Luther King would disagree with.”
One-thousand buses have reserved space in D.C. for the event. By comparison, there were about 3000 buses for President Obama’s inauguration. Stay tuned for a full transcript of Beck's exclusive interview with Townhall.

Forthcoming for public release shortly will be my extensive study of the Obamacare legislation, “The Obamacare Disaster: An Appraisal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” (Heartland Policy StudyNo. 128, The Heartland Institute, August 2010), available shortly at the Heartland Institute website. Following Nancy Pelosi’s dictum that we will have to pass it first to know what’s in it, I personally slogged through the thousands of pages of this legislative atrocity for the study, as well as thousands of pages of supplemental materials such as government, think tank and media reports.
The bottom line is that you will lose your health care under this legislation, if not your job, your country as they bankrupt America, and maybe ultimately your life or the life of a loved one. All that to make dreamy, emotionalized, liberals happy, even though many of them are not happy because the socialism in the bill is not overt enough. Moreover, the promises made to the American people to pass the bill are shown in the study to be thoroughly false. This pattern of calculated deception, however, did not fool the American people, only members of Congress, many of whom will now pay with their jobs as a result.
But the study is not all gloom and doom. It thoroughly explains the Patient Power reforms that should replace it when it is repealed, drawing on the broad scholarship of the Patient Power movement and its intellectual leaders, such as John Goodman, Grace Marie Turner, Sally Pipes, Merrill Mathews, and Greg Scandlen, among others. It consequently serves as a guidebook for the grassroots Tea Party activists who will lead the long-term crusade for Health Care Liberation.
The Government Takeover of Health Care
Contrary to President Obama’s rhetoric, the Obamacare legislation involves precisely the thorough government takeover of health care. It creates 159 new bureaucracies, agencies, boards, commissions, and programs to rule over health care in America. Government authorities are empowered to tell doctors and hospitals what is quality health care and what is not, what are best practices in medicine, how their medical practices should be structured, and what they will be paid and when. Government authorities will mandate exactly what health insurance with what benefits workers and employers must buy, and the Act imposes tax penalties on them if they do not comply. Government authorities will dictate to insurance companies exactly what health insurance they must sell, to whom they must sell it, and what they can charge. Obamacare even redistributes premium income among insurers under a new “risk adjustment” mechanism.
But this is just the beginning. As in everything President Obama is doing, it lays the groundwork for much more thorough government control and compulsion over time, primarily through bureaucratic landmines involving grants of regulatory authority that will explode when the bureaucracy thinks it can get away with it politically. Among the biggest targets here will be doctors and hospitals, which over time will become complete vassals of the regulatory, bureaucratic state Obamacare establishes.
Higher Health Care Costs
President Obama promised while campaigning for his health reform legislation that it would reduce the “growth of health care costs for our families, our businesses, and our government,” in particular by reducing the cost of health insurance by $2,500 per family. But the Obamacare legislation will have just the opposite effect, sharply increasing health costs for families, businesses, and government.
Higher costs for government start with the expansion of the Medicaid entitlement, which was already slated to cost $5 trillion over the next 10 years. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services estimates that Obamacare will increase Medicaid enrollment by 24 million new beneficiaries by 2015, adding an additional $410 billion in further federal costs for the program over the next decade alone.
Obamacare increases costs for the federal government further by adopting a massive new health insurance entitlement program for families earning up to four times the poverty level. In 2014, this new program will be providing $3,000 in taxpayer funds to families making $95,000. By 2018, almost $5,000 will be going to families making $102,000. CBO estimates that these subsidies will cost taxpayers an additional $457 billion over the first six years alone, through 2019. The Chief Actuary of Medicare estimates the total cost of this new entitlement will reach over $500 billion over the first six years. This is only the beginning, as this program will ultimately cost far more than now projected.
This is a massive increase in welfare extended to middle and upper-income families, irresponsibly added on top of the runaway, financially intractable entitlement promises we have already made. But Obamacare then adds a third new entitlement program, for long term nursing home care.
For the rest of us, Obamacare will sharply increase insurance costs. That starts with the mandates forcing everyone into comprehensive insurance coverage specified by the government, which will maximize the incentives for overconsumption of health care, to be paid for through the insurance. Then there are all of President Obama’s free new benefits now mandated, such as coverage for alcohol and drug abuse rehab, mental health services, preventive care, maternity benefits for single males and postmenopausal adults, and the elimination of all lifetime limits and caps. Free mandatory benefits raise health insurance costs.
Additional regulatory burdens will further increase costs. The guaranteed issue requirements force insurers to issue new policies to anyone who applies regardless of how sick they are, and the community rating requirements prohibit charging them more because of their illnesses. These requirements, which are just like forcing fire insurers to issue new policies to applicants whose houses are already on fire when they call, at regular rates, raise the costs of health insurance sharply for everyone else.
Two new taxes on health insurance, the Cadillac tax for supposedly high value insurance that will apply to more and more plans every year, and another tax on all health insurance from the start, will add nearly $100 billion to health insurance costs over the next 10 years alone. Then there will be sharply increased cost shifting to private health insurance due to the massive expansion of Medicaid to 24 million more people, and the more than massive Medicare cuts discussed below, as doctors and hospitals try to recoup their enormous losses by charging more to privately insured patients.
Counting just some of these cost increases, one study concludes that under Obamacare a typical family health insurance policy costing $12,300 today will cost $17,200 by 2013, $21,300 by 2016, and $25,900 by 2019. Another study concludes that insurance costs for young (up to 40) and healthy workers will double and triple in many cases.
These cost increases have already begun. But expect the liberal/left to insist that the soaring insurance costs caused by Obamacare prove that the public option, or even more overt socialized medicine, was needed after all. They will seek to prohibit the necessary premium increases, as in Massachusetts, and will be glad if that forces private insurers out of business.
While the liberal/left hides behind literal clowns mocking Sarah Palin for raising the issue of death panels under Obamacare, the legislation as passed documents the essential reality of the charge.
The recently released Annual Report of the Medicare Board of Trustees reveals that the Medicare payment rates for the doctors and hospitals serving seniors will be cut by 30% over the next 3 years. By 2019, those Medicare payment rates will be lower than under Medicaid. The Chief Actuary for Medicare reports that ultimately under Obamacare Medicare payment rates will be only one third of what will be paid by private insurance and only half of what is paid by Medicaid, where the poor often can’t find access to essential care.
Still further Medicare cuts adopted in the Obamacare legislation add up altogether to $818 billion over the first 10 years of full implementation, 2014-2023, and $3.223 trillion over the first 20 years, 2014-2033, for Medicare Part A (HI) alone! Adding in the cuts for Medicare Part B brings the total to $1.048 trillion over the first 10 full years, and $4.95 trillion over the first 20 full years. Eventually, as documented in the government’s own reports, Medicare Part A is cut by 60% per year, Part B by 43%!
These draconian cuts for doctors and hospitals providing the health care to seniors under Medicare were the basis for the CBO score repeatedly cited by President Obama that Obamacare would actually reduce the deficit while expanding or adopting three entitlement programs. This doesn’t even include the further cuts to Medicare Advantage, the private alternative to Medicare which nearly 25% of seniors have chosen for their Medicare coverage because it gives them a better deal, and the further automatic Medicare cuts to be adopted by the unelected, appointed, bureaucrats at the Medicare Independent Payment Advisory Board under Obamacare.
Such draconian Medicare cuts would create havoc and chaos in health care for seniors. Doctors, hospitals, surgeons and specialists providing critical care to the elderly such as surgery for hip and knee replacements, sophisticated diagnostics through MRIs and CT scans, and even treatment for cancer and heart disease will shut down and disappear in much of the country, and others will stop serving Medicare patients. If the government is not going to pay, then seniors are not going to get the health services, treatment and care they expect. Indeed, the Medicare Chief Actuary reports that even before these cuts already two-thirds of hospitals were losing money on Medicare patients. Health providers will either have to withdraw from serving Medicare patients, or eventually go into bankruptcy.
Apparently, President Obama’s concept of spreading the wealth includes sacking the Medicare system on which America’s seniors have come to rely for highly beneficial medical care, in favor of others who the Obama/Pelosi/Reid progressive vision deems more worthy.
As the government clamps down on private insurers as well as on payments from Medicare and Medicaid, the incentives for essential investment to maintain current facilities, expand and open new ones, and invest in and build out new innovations and breakthroughs, will be eviscerated. Investment in human capital as well as physical capital in health care will plummet, as doctors and other professionals increasingly flee health care. This effective decline in the supply of health care in the face of increasing demand will mean even higher prices and costs.
The study further explains how several provisions of Obamacare give insurers, doctors, and hospitals incentives to deny and ration health care to patients. A central component of the traditional high standard of living in America has been the best, most advanced, cutting edge health care in the world. No more. Obamacare is part of the declining standard of living for America.
America’s Coming Bankruptcy
When he was campaigning for Obamacare, President Obama insisted on national television that the mandate to buy insurance was not a tax. Now that it has passed, his lawyers are in court arguing that it is constitutional because it is a tax.
The mandate to buy insurance is economically, though not legally, indistinguishable from a tax. Even with the budget-crushing new entitlement subsidies in the Act, the insurance will be quite expensive, ranging up to 2 percent of income for people at 133 percent of poverty to 9.8 percent of income for people at 400 percent of poverty. That is like a new payroll tax, breaking two Obama pledges, since it applies just as well to those making less than $250,000 a year.
The study recounts at least 13 tax increases in Obamacare, adding up to at least $500 billion over the first 10 years, not counting the mandates. But that won’t begin to cover all of the spending involved in Obamacare, adding up to more than $2.4 trillion over the first 10 years of full implementation, from 2014 to 2024, and $5.3 trillion over the first 15 full years.
That will further explode the deficit and national debt by at least $2 to $3 trillion over the next 20 years. A major fallacy of the CBO score of Obamacare is that it assumes that only 19 million workers will qualify for the new Obamacare health insurance subsidies described above. In fact, as former CBO Chief Douglas Holtz-Eakin explains, under the incentives Obamacare provides employers to dump their health coverage, at least 43 million are likely to qualify. It could be 2 to 3 times as many, exploding original cost projections beyond imagination. The study explains other factors that will cause higher Obamacare spending and deficits. This would only follow the Medicare precedent, which was originally projected in 1965 to cost $12 trillion by 1990. But when 1990 came, it cost $109.7 billion, 9 times greater.
Patient Power v. Government Power
America does need to ensure that it maintains a health care safety net assuring that no one suffers due to lack of essential health care. But that can be accomplished without any of the big-government components of Obamacare. Indeed, done right, it can be accomplished while expanding the power and control of workers and patients over their own health care and actually reducing rather than enlarging government’s role in health care.
That would begin by repealing all 159 new bureaucracies, agencies, boards, commissions and programs created by Obamacare, and the rest of the legislative atrocity, reducing taxes and spending by the amounts described above, and the federal deficits and debt by at least $2 to $3 trillion over the next 20 years.
The next step would be to block grant Medicaid back to the states following the model of the hugely successful 1996 reforms of the old AFDC program. That would greatly benefit the poor, freeing them from the Medicaid ghetto to enjoy the same health insurance as the middle class. That would include the choice of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), maximizing patient power and control, and market incentives to control costs. Medicare should be reformed to empower all seniors with a Medicare Advantage choice, including the highly beneficial HSAs.
A true health care safety net ensuring essential health care for all can be achieved with state high risk pools, and consumer choice tax credits, ensuring affordability and access to health insurance for everyone. The study explains as well market consumer protection laws prohibiting insurance company fraud, and deregulation enabling a national market competition to truly control costs.
Because of all of the problems created by Obamacare, the misshapen legislation is just the beginning, not the end, of the battle to reform health care policy in America. Obamacare is so fundamentally wrong-headed that it takes us in the opposite direction of the essential reforms that are needed. Perhaps such a disastrously wrong step was necessary to draw the public’s attention to the true patient power reforms that would liberate health care in America.
Glenn Beck: Obama Administration 'Most Corrupt of All Time'
August 20, 2010
Fox News host Glenn Beck tells Newsmax that President Barack Obama's White House qualifies as the most corrupt administration in U.S. history.
"There are so many things that this administration has done that I think will go down in history as ... it's going to go down in history as the most corrupt administration ever,"Beck says in an exclusive Newsmax.TV interview.
Beck's no-holds-barred assessment of the Obama administration's ethics comes as he is promoting an Aug. 28 celebration at theLincoln Memorial called Restoring Honor.
The remark came as Newsmax.TV sought Beck's reaction to a recent statement that GOP Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl attributed to Obama.
Kyl said he asked Obama to secure the U.S.-Mexico border, but the president refused because it would reduce Republicans' incentive to compromise on immigration reform. The White House denied Kyl's account, but former Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo wrote in op-ed column that Obama's stance "constitutes an impeachable offense."
Asked if he agrees with Tancredo, Beck replies "I'll leave that up to them."
But he goes on to say: "If the story is ever told, if the journalists ever decide to regain their soul to their journalist god – whoever that is, Walter Lippmann or I don't know who – if they ever care to redeem their soul, and actually look into the corruption and things that are going on in this administration, this administration will be exposed as the most corrupt of all time."
The Fox News luminary added that former President George W. Bush also failed in his duty to secure the border.
Beck spoke at length about Restoring Honor, described as a non-political effort to re-establish the values expressed when the nation was created.
"Trying to restore our country," Beck explains, "it's impossible to do it if we don't have honor."
According to the GlennBeck.com/828 website, the Restoring Honor celebration will pay tribute to America's military personnel for their embodiment of the virtue of honor.
The event is free, and all proceeds raised will go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which awards scholarships to the children of special-operations personnel who die in combat or training.
In the interview, Beck points to a recent Gallup poll that shows the 76 percent of Americans have a great deal of confidence in the U.S. military – much higher than the public has in any other institution.
Congress, by comparison, enjoys the confidence of 11 percent. The presidency has the confidence of 36 percent.
Big business and organized labor score 19 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
"I was pondering why [the military], and it's because they're honorable," Becks says. "They'll do the tough things. They'll do them because they're the right things to do. And we still believe in them ... generally speaking, they are the only things we still believe in, that and our religious organizations."
Controversy seems to follow Beck around wherever he goes these days, so it's no surprise his foes on the left are planning to hold a demonstration against his Restoring Honor rally. How could an event supporting U.S. war heroes and their families possibly be controversial?
Well, it turns out Aug. 28 happens to be the 47th anniversary of the day Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his historic "I Have a Dream" speech, which also was delivered from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Beck says the choice of dates was accidental. But a smattering of protesters say they'll also be there on the Mall.
Beck opens up in the interview about the key role faith has played in securing the nation'sfuture. Helping Americans rediscover their true identity, and their most cherished beliefs, is even more important than influencing political outcomes, he says.
"I have news for you," Beck tells Newsmax. "If anybody thinks this is going to be an easy transition, either into socialism, into the slavery of Marxism, or the transition back into our founding principles, it's not going to be an easy ride.
"It's going to get very, very bumpy. We're not at the bottom yet. However, there's one way to make it a lot easier. That is, for us to be the people we truly are, not the people that we've allowed ourselves to become. To reconnect with those inner virtues and values within ourselves.
"We do it naturally at the time of trouble, we did it on 9/12," he adds. "That's who we naturally are. Now let's master that to be able to be that way without the crisis, so we can logically think our way out of the trouble that we're in."
The Fox News host and perennial best-selling author also describes Sarah Palin's role in the event. "She's going to be introducing some of the heroes who will be on stage ... wonderful military people," he says. "She'll be introducing them, and talking about the honor and integrity of our military."
Other speakers scheduled to appear at Restoring Honor include Marcus Luttrell, former Navy Seal and author of the best-selling “Lone Survivor”; and Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr. Country music artist Jo Dee Messina is expected to perform as well.
During the exclusive interview, Beck reserves his toughest critique for the current administration.
Asked whether a court decision granting the administration the authority require people to buy health coverage would lead to tyranny, Beck says, "Totally. I mean, we're there. If they can do this ... It's unconstitutional."
Beck says he won't try to predict how the courts might rule on the state-level challenge to healthcare reform's individual mandate. But he insists his track record for making predictions has been pretty good.
"Everyone who disagreed with me two years ago, said none of these things can happen. ... I'd ask them 'Why?' They'd say, 'Well, because, you don't understand politics.' Or 'You don't understand this or you don't understand this.'
"I said, 'You don't understand this: They don't care. Progressives don't care. They're not playing on the same rulebook.
"And now you've taken progressives and added revolutionary right next to them. The game is entirely different. So, predictions: Think the unthinkable," Beck says.
"What you thought couldn't happen a year ago, has. What you think can't happen next year, could."
