Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby and Lt. Governor Dan Forest key participants in program! 20th Annual God & Country Banquet; September 16, 2013 in Havelock Lt. Governor and Mrs. Dan Forest will be among the attendees at the 20thAnnual God & Country Banquet. The event will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013, at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center in Havelock, NC. This event has been sponsored each fall since 1994 by the Craven-Pamlico Christian Coalition. Doors open at 5:30pm with the program beginning promptly at 6:30. "This being our 20th year will be extra special", said Jerry Schill, Chairman of the non profit. "It will be a different format, streamlined for more information and more timely presentations." North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby, will be the Master of Ceremonies and the two guest speakers will be introduced by North Carolina Lt. Governor Dan Forest. For the first time, the Banquet will feature two speakers addressing two different subjects. Todd Nettleton of Voice of the Martyrs will speak about the persecution of the Christian Church worldwide. Marjorie Dannenfelser will address the issue of abortion. She is the President of the Susan B. Anthony List, and is nationally known for her passion on this pro-life issue. This is our 19th year! Since 1994 CPCC has sponsored this Banquet and every year folks leave with a full belly and a smile from the experience!

While fellowship and great food have been a consistent experience, the messages have varied of course. Last year’s Keynote, General Jerry Boykin was an exceptional speaker, but made more special since he’s a New Bern native.

Tim Barton of WallBuilders to speak at the 19th Annual God & Country Banquet

Plans are underway for the 19th Annual God & Country Banquet to be held on September 17, 2012 in Havelock. The Keynote Address will be given by Tim Barton of WallBuilders.

Tim is a speaker for WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our religious, moral and constitutional heritage. WallBuilders has been recognized from coast-to-coast for its work in education, history, law and public policy, integrating the elements of Biblical faith and morality throughout all aspects of American life and culture. Tim is an ordained minister and has worked in a variety of church staff positions, including as youth minister, worship leader and assistant pastor. Tim’s Dad, David Barton, is the founder and President of WallBuilders.

The God & Country Banquet will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center. Doors will open at 5:30pm for registration and book signing.

CHRISTIAN COALITION PLANS FOR ANNUAL BANQUET

General “Jerry” Boykin to speak at the 18th Annual God & Country Banquet

Plans are underway for the 18th Annual God & Country Banquet to be held on September 15, 2011 in Havelock. The Keynote Address will be given by LTG (Ret) William “Jerry” Boykin, a New Bern native and 1966 graduate of New Bern High School.

General Boykin was one of the original members of the US Army's Delta Force. He was privileged to ultimately command these elite warriors in combat operations. Later, Jerry Boykin commanded all the Army's Green Berets. He has participated in clandestine operations around the world. In his thirty-six years in the army, General Boykin also served a tour with the CIA. He has participated in clandestine operations around the world and served his last four years in the Army as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. Today he is an ordained minister with a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christians to become Warriors in God's Kingdom.
