#NCSEN: Bought and Paid For?

Kay Hagan’s largest donor appears to be Emily’s List — $404,000 over the span of her career

The Daily Haymaker, Brant Clifton, February 1, 2014

The mainstream media could do the right thing and cover the upcoming Senate contest in terms of the issues. Inform the voters, keep their readers / viewers up to date — that kind of thing. Or they could be lazy and cover it in terms of the dollars chase.

Looking at the dollars chase, a troubling development rises to the surface.  The two candidates anointed by the media and the establishment — Kay Hagan and Thom Tillis — have campaign treasuries stuffed with large contributions from out-of-state and shadowy sources.  If you’ve got six figures coming in to you from large, shadowy and out-of-state interests, who are you going to listen to when the rubber meets the road?

Beware the left-wing-funded “Main Street” Republicans

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 10, 2014

What do George Soros, labor unions and money-grubbing former GOP Rep. Steven LaTourette all have in common? They’re control freaks. They’re power hounds. They’re united against tea party conservatives. And they all have operated under the umbrella of D.C. groups masquerading as “Main Street” Republicans.
LaTourette heads up the so-called “Main Street Partnership,” which claims to represent “thoughtful,” “pragmatic,” “common sense” and “centrist” Republican leadership. Reality check: The pro-bailout, pro-debt, pro-amnesty, anti-drilling group founded by former liberal New York GOP Congressman Amory Houghton includes three liberal Senate Republicans (John McCain, Mark Kirk and Susan Collins) and 52 center-left House Republicans. LaTourette himself is a self-serving Beltway barnacle who held office for nearly two decades. Now he’s leveraging his new tea party-bashing platform to benefit a family-operated lobbying business.

Advancing. Ever Advancing.

Much cynicism has been expressed over the past month about the effort, led by Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, to fight Obamacare. It was about money or defeating Republicans or something other than what it was about — undermining Obamacare with a united front.

It was always about undermining Obamacare, despite the claims of others. But, those of us who were in this fight against Obamacare, have been quite open that we knew there were side benefits. This fight would expose conservative activists to the frauds they have funded.
Men like Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, and others have preached a great sermon against Obamacare, but now conservatives who supported them see that these men have refused to actually practice what they’ve been preaching. They’ve refused to stand and fight with the rest of us.

Conservatives Must Remove Traitor RINOs in Primaries or By Recall

The most nauseating of all political actions is the betrayal of the trust the voters place in their elected candidates after they get elected.  It tears down any promised platforms for the future of the country as stated in the Party’s mission during the election campaign and tells the voters of that Party that it’s OK to go back on the promises they made; in other words, become a lying traitor to the Party’s pledges of action on the issues.  Why is it that the overwhelming number of such ‘Benedict Arnolds’ are RINOs and have residence in the Republican Party?'

If you want to find out who these double dealing and confused individuals are, follow closely the votes taken in both houses of Congress.  Of course you’ll find RINOs only in the Republican Party in keeping with the translation of the cited capital letters R. I. N. O., “Republicans In Name Only”.  There is no nationally known nickname for Democrats who practice this form of treachery that I have ever heard, such as D. I. N. O., “Democrats In Name Only”.

Plainly speaking, it is the practice of going against what their Party has promised during the campaign intra-actions for the sake of their own pleasures, causing the public to view the offenders as traitors who easily break their campaign promises proving themselves as being untrustworthy. Democrats absolutely LOVE RINO’s.

Democrats are great at lying to and betraying the entire country; Clinton and Obama being at the leadership for that mendacious madness, but the practice of comparing their votes with their political platforms usually finds more conformity than is found in the Republican Party votes.  It’s their platforms that are anti-American and would be better left ignored; bigger government, bigger spending, bigger taxes, amnesty for lawbreakers, more jobs for illegal aliens, and a whole litany of errors against the public good.

Many Republican politicians are lured into the roles of the RINO by the false promises of so-called ‘bipartisanship’ a political condition assurance by Democrats to “work together” for a common goal that they, the Dems, vow will be good for the country – as in raising the ceiling of the national debtwith impunity and amnesty for all illegal aliens, one venture that is most assuredly NOT good for the country resulting in bigger government, bigger spending and bigger taxes; all Democrat idealistic dreams but in reality, more poverty, more joblessness for citizens, more welfare and giveaways of taxpayer dollars. To Democrats, bipartisanship means, “we’ll do it my way.”

Secrets Buried In The Immigration Reform Bill

Western Center for Journalism

July 19, 2013

Why exactly are RINO Republicans, supposedly on the Right, like Marco Rubio appearing in anational multimillion dollar ad campaign to push so-called “Immigration Reform”? And who exactly is paying for these 60-second infomercials that are literally being broadcast from coast to coast? We would expect that it is RINO Neocons like Karl Rove or radical leftist groups that want open borders. On the contrary, it is mega-corporations who are primarily funding the ad blitz, with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg topping the donation list.

Zuckerberg, a bleeding heart liberal in bed with the Obama administration sharing an agenda with the Neocons?

You betcha!

And here’s why: We often think of illegal aliens hunched over, picking crops; but the real cash crop for the big tech companies are those in online tech support or those hunched over circuit boards,  soldering components twelve hours a day in sweltering conditions, or zombies putting widgets together. It’s not about bringing low-wage agricultural workers, lawn care workers, etc. out of the shadows as we are led to believe, but giving the mega tech companies and Neocon military-industrial complex industries access to low-wage employees.

But that is only the secondary reason. The primary reason they’re bankrolling the so-called Immigration Reform Bill is to let Obama’s corporate cronies off the hook for millions of dollars in fines and a get-out-of-jail-free card for knowingly hiring illegal aliens.

According to the just-released Government Accountability Project report, entitled “Corporate Amnesty in S.744 Immigration Bill”:

A little-discussed provision buried in the immigration bill which passed out of the Senate on June 27, 2013 (S. 744) would let employers off the hook for previously hiring illegal immigrants—a Get Out of Jail Free card that could help companies dodge millions of dollars in fines and penalties, legal fees, and evade prosecution or imprisonment for guilty executives.

To North Carolina Tea Party Patriots

I thought it important to share this with all of you--and by the way, several Eastern NC conservative candidates experienced theft and vandilism of signs during the 2010 campaign. Posting of this letter is in no way an endorsement by CCTA of the Randall campaign.  Mr. Randall is a fine man and a true patriot and deserves better.  We are seeing this same liberal tactic being used against Presidential candidate, Herman Cain.  For the liberal "Saul Alinsky followers"-- the truth does not matter, a lie will do anytime.  The damage is still done.

November 13, 2011

Good day to you. This is Bill Randall.

As you may know, I am running for Congress once again in the NC-13th Congressional district. Thanks to NC Tea Party support, I was able to win the Republican nomination in 2010, although I ultimately lost to (then) 4-term incumbent liberal Democrat Ralph "Brad" Miller in the General Election (Nov 2010). Although I am one of three Republicans seeking the GOP nomination, to the best of my knowledge, I am the only active Tea Party supporter running for the 2012 Republican nomination in the NC-13th. I have been actively and continually involved in North Carolina Tea Party events and initiatives since its inception in 2009. Here's a clip of my speaking at the 2010 Tea Party Rally in Raleigh, NC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRA4Ag05BGY

Without a doubt, the Tea Party movement, which has spontaneously sprung up across our great nation, is under assault by Liberals, Socialists, and even "Establishment RINOs" because it (the Tea Party) poses a threat to their agenda. Their most deceptive, insidious (and yet EFFECTIVE) strategy has been to marginalize and FALSELY label the Tea Party as "bigoted" and "racist." This is the furthest thing from the truth (...and they know it). But the TRUTH has never stopped them from spreading lies and falsehoods ---as long as they can use it to sway the masses (and keep them asleep).

If they are able to convince a significant number of the American public that the Tea Party are a bunch of bigoted racists who want to keep blacks and Hispanics under their thumb... then they will minimize the effectiveness of the Tea Party.

********THIS IS THE REASON FOR MY SENDING YOU THIS E-MAIL********

If you recall the Duke Lacrosse case, in which the Duke Lacrosse team members were FALSELY accused of raping a black stripper, the media covered the event for MANY DAYS, even though there was no evidence to substantiate the charges. Moreover, Al Sharpton, the NAACP, the New Black Panther Party and many other "race baiters" were threatening action and stirring up discontent as the days went by. District Attorney Mike Nifong fanned the flames by telling the media that he would prosecute the accused to the fullest extent of the law.

Here's a video clip to refresh your memory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihAY2Ti2O2Y

So what was the result?

The Duke Lacrosse players were not only found "not guilty," but the investigation found them INNOCENT! That indicated that the lacrosse players DID NOT do anything they were accused of.

Fast-forward to October 2011.

My campaign billboard was vandalized in early Oct 2011 with a vulgar phallic symbol and the letters "KKK." The Liberal Left would have characterized this as a "Hate Crime" had I been a Black Democrat. But because I'm a Tea Party Conservative Republican, the media has largely IGNORED this incident. Here are the details:

Succinct summary:

Vandalism of the campaign billboard occurred in early Oct 2011, on Burlington Mills Rd. in Wake Forest, NC.

The vandalism of my campaign sign was reported to the Wake County Sheriff's department, and was investigated with no credible leads. Investigation case # with the Sheriff's dept: 108811 - 8/9 Oct 2011.

Despite my conducting a press conference and issuing a press release on 10-10-2011, very few news organizations chose to report or cover the story. Only a local Fox 50, NBC-17, and the Wake Weekly (Wake Forest, NC newspaper) covered the story. Here is the NBC-17 clip (via Breitbart.com): http://www.breitbart.tv/black-tea-party-candidates-sign-defaced-with-kkk/

As I alluded earlier, the story barely made a ripple in the news cycle, and the local newspaper (Raleigh News & Observer) chose to NOT report the story at all. And even though Andrew Breitbart linked to the story, I am of the opinion that the story was largely suppressed. Interestingly, the location of the vandalism of the campaign billboard occurred less than 50 miles east of where the Duke lacrosse (rape) scandal occurred. As you no doubt recall, a far greater amount of outrage was noted in that case (with no evidence to support the allegations) than has occurred in THIS instance, where evidence is clear and unmistakable.

For this reason, my campaign chose to create a parody video (below) to call attention to the apparent media bias in this instance. Here is the video: http://youtu.be/cKP4QA0ZudA

I served honorably in the U.S. military for 27 years, and am willing to serve our nation once again in the U.S. Congress. I am not asking for favoritism, but I do ask for fair and equitable coverage of a horrible, disgraceful action that not only insulted me, but also the more than 92,000 constituents who cast their vote for me last Fall in the NC-13th Congressional District. This is an opportunity for the Tea Party to put a spotlight on this incident and expose the hypocrisy of the Liberal Left (and lamestream media).

WHAT CAN YOUR ORGANIZATION DO?

I have petitioned many of the major media contacts... to no avail. I believe that most major news outlets are owned by Liberal money people.

Therefore, I ask that you copy and paste this message ...and FORWARD it to any and all agencies that may allow the story to gain traction. It will certainly do much to destroy the notion that the Tea Party is a bigoted, racist movement.

But then again, we're no different than the "Occupy Wall Street" crowd, eh???

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

GRNC Alert 01-11-2011: Republicans Preparing to Sell Out Gun Owners

Grass Roots North Carolina, P.O. Box 10684, Raleigh, NC 27605

919-664-8565, www.grnc.org, GRNC Alert Hotline: (919) 562-4137

GRNC Alert 01-11-2011:

Republicans Preparing to Sell Out Gun Owners

First let us apologize for sending a second alert today. We thought the deck was clear with the previous one, but then the following piece of finely crafted lunacy popped onto our radar.

Politicians are so much like children. You try to raise them right, give them money they need to reach their goals and as soon as they reach them... well - pausing to find a non-violent metaphor - they sell you out and side with those who hate you. That seems to be the case with RINO Republican Peter King of New York. In an effort to be a part of "never letting a good crisis go to waste," King has introduced a prize winning piece of gun control legislation.

King's bill would make it illegal to knowingly carry a gun within a thousand feet of "certain high-profile" government officials... whoever they may be. We suppose this may lead to a bureau to determine a classification for "certain high-profile government officials." Of course that would probably be only natural from a politician from a state so fond of registering things, but we digress.

At the end of the day, we in North Carolina can only look after our own. We must make sure that our elected Congressional representatives remember why we sent them there. They must be reminded (unfortunately frequently) what we sent them to do and most significantly, what NOT to do. Let them know that you will not tolerate ANY gun control out of them and that they should use their influence to pull RINOs such as King over to the right side of the equation.

As we noted earlier, Democrat Heath Shuler put in a nice plug for the importance of the Concealed Carry law which GRNC engineered passage of. So don't forget to encourage the so-called Blue Dog Democrats to stand with real Americans for real American rights.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

Burr explains vote-switch on ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’

By Ben Geman - 12/18/10 05:09 PM ET

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.)  (RINO) joined seven other Republicans in voting to end the military’s “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy Saturday afternoon, just hours after he backed an unsuccessful filibuster of the bill.

Burr told reporters after the final vote that it’s not the right time to change the policy, which is why he joined most other Republicans trying to block the bill Saturday morning.

But Burr also believes that overall, the policy that bars gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military is wrong, which is why he supported the measure on final passage hours later, he said.

“I have vehemently objected to making a policy change of this magnitude at this time,” he said, but added that once the filibuster was overcome, “that settled that.”

“I don’t think this is the right time to make a major policy change like this when we have got troops deployed,” Burr said, decrying the lack of an opportunity to offer amendments.  But he added of the repeal: “This is, I think, a policy that generationally is right.”

“A majority of Americans have grown up at a time that they don’t think exclusion is the right thing for the United States to do,” Burr said, also noting, “It is not accepted practice anywhere else in our society and it only makes sense.”

Burr is the top Republican on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee and his state is home to major military installations. He said the military needs more time to prepare for the change.  “We have got hundreds of thousands of troops deployed in combat areas today. We haven’t put any thought into how we implement this within the ranks of our military,” Burr said. “I think it is irresponsible, but we will dump it in [Defense] Secretary Gates’ lap now because he is the one that is in control of the timeline, and we will find out whether politics trumps good execution.”

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) also voted to uphold the filibuster Saturday morning but then supported the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” repeal on final passage. The bill now heads to President Obama for his signature.
Next time around we hope the Democrats have a moderate running!  We might as well have supported Elaine Marshall!

Sun Journal Letter to the Editor: Insanity in Washington

Wouldn’t you think after the sweeping election, our elected officials would use restraint and common sense? The lame duck Congress moved against the wishes of the people — yet again. The Framers of the Constitution intended for there to be a continuity of government after an election as newly elected congressmen travelled. They are not traveling to Washington via horseback or train anymore — they can fly! New congressmen need to take office as soon as possible after the election and those seats lost should be vacated immediately to avoid an abuse of power. Just look at what they have done this week.

In the Senate, special interest money bought the votes for the passage of S 510, The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010. This bill vastly expands federal power over agriculture, potentially choking off small local growers and hobby farmers and will make it illegal to grow, share, trade, transport or sell homegrown food. It is the most offensive control against the cultivation, trade, and consumption of food and agricultural products of one’s choice. The bill is blatantly unconstitutional and contrary to natural law. At least with Kay Hagan, we knew she would vote for the bill even though she said she didn’t like it. Richard Burr, once again proved he is a RINO, but do you know why they voted for the bill? Hagan received $36,250 and Burr $328,086 in campaign bribe money to vote for the bill and they both received bribe money to oppose the bill, too. Hagan received $3,500 and Burr $32,292, but the opposition didn’t pay enough and the American people are stuck again with another insane law.

In fact, the restaurants and drinking establishments, catering services and consumer groups spent a total of $12,003,121 to buy this vote while the farm, livestock, milk, and dairy producers only had $3,697,970 to fight it. Special interest groups win again. Can you see now why the 17th Amendment to the Constitution should be repealed? The Framers of the Constitution never intended for senators to be elected; rather they should be appointed by the states to prevent such unsavory actions.

The House approved HR 4783, Claims Resolution Act of 2010. This legislation now provides funds to settle the Pigford and Cobell discrimination lawsuits brought on by African American farmers and water rights claims by Native American tribes. It is not that settling these lawsuits was bad. The problem is deceit and fraud. There’s no common sense here folks. The bill was originally passed by the House in March and was aimed at addressing income tax benefits to charitable contributions for the relief of victims of disasters in Haiti and Chile, but when the bill emerged out of the Senate it looked totally different. The Senate secretly rewrote the bill behind closed doors (again) creating over 270 pages of settlements. The $5.78 billion omnibus package is wrought with fraud and not a single House member – Republican or Democrat had the opportunity to offer an amendment to improve it as Pelosi rammed it through. This bill was approved by the congressmen we voted out of office.

Are you ready for more government power over our lives? Senate bill S 3307, The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, will increase federal spending by $4.65 billion on school meal programs, expand the size of government (again) by creating or expanding 17 programs, place onerous unfunded mandates on local school districts and state governments, increase prices for paying families, and allow federal bureaucrats to determine what foods children can and cannot be served at school. We currently spend in excess of $20 billion annually in child nutrition assistance and the money needed to fund this will have to be borrowed from the student supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) in the stimulus to pay for the program even as they try to find a way to restore these SNAP cuts down the road. Are you sitting down? The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) “estimates that implementing this bill would have discretionary costs of $35.9 billion over the 2011-1015 period. …” Say goodbye to school bake sales, cafeteria, pizza, burgers, and dogs. The Agriculture Department will even determine how often a PTO can hold bakes sales.

The Bush tax cuts are due to expire and the Democrats are trying to snowball the country with their “we’ll agree to extend the Bush tax cuts for everyone who makes under $250,000.” The inescapable reality is that the Democrats by their actions voted to raise taxes. God bless the Republicans and some Democrats for holding firm to extend all the Bush tax cuts so business owners can make plans to hire and expand their companies.

The Senate also voted to reject a Republican attempt to ban earmarks. In a procedural motion (that’s a quarterback sneak) the vote occurred as part of the debate on the Food Safety Modernization Act. Hagan voted against the moratorium and Burr voted in favor. This battle is far from over.

We cleaned house in the House, but we didn’t sweep out the fraud in the Senate.

Tax Bill Passed by the Senate is Unconstitutional

The Senate has committed a major blunder today. I mean besides the RINOs being stupid enough to go along with the Rats. They have passed a revenue bill that did not originate in the House.

Article 1, Section 7

All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; Can it be any plainer? Is anyone planning on challenging the constitutionality of it?
