NC Marriage Protection Amendment

Vote For Marriage On May 8--Placing the Marriage Amendment in the North Carolina Constitution will keep the courts and legislature from redefining marriage. Bill Brooks discusses why this is an important issue for North Carolina voters—“ A good friend said to me, “I’m having a hard time getting my head around this whole Marriage Amendment issue. Who would believe that we would ever be considering such a thing as same-sex ‘marriage’ and an amendment to the Constitution to prevent it?” I couldn’t agree more, but the fact is, on May 8, voters in North Carolina will go to the polls and decide if they want to reserve to themselves the final say on the definition of marriage, or whether they want the courts and legislature to be able to redefine this fundamental institution.

Given the continual push by homosexual advocates for same-sex “marriage,” coupled with the demand for special rights for homosexuals, it is wise to remove the power to redefine marriage from the hands of courts and the General Assembly.

District Attorneys Refute Deceptive Ads--As the battle over the Marriage Protection Amendment heats up during the last week before the May 8 primary, homosexual advocacy groups are desperately resorting to scare tactics in their efforts to defeat the proposed Constitutional amendment that would protect the institution of marriage in North Carolina as between one man and one woman .

These tactics include a new 30-second ad that erroneously claims that the Marriage Protection Amendment could potentially interfere with legal protections for unmarried domestic violence victims in the state. The ad features Wake County Assistant District Attorney Amily McCool pointing to pictures of female domestic violence victims that she pulls from a large stack of case folders on her desk. “Amendment one could take away protections for domestic violence victims," she claims.

These claims were refuted yesterday by a coalition of law enforcement officials, district attorneys and family law attorneys who responded in a joint statement that, the proposed amendment will not impact legal protections against domestic violence for unmarried women and others.” The statement, which was released at a May 1 press conference at the General Assembly, includes the signatures over a dozen individuals from the law enforcement and legal community in North Carolina, including several current and former District Attorneys, a former Superior Court judge, and two sheriffs.

Obama to use foreign aid to promote homosexual agenda abroad

The Obama administration is announcing a wide-ranging effort to use U.S. foreign aid to promote rights for gays and lesbians abroad, including combating attempts by foreign governments to criminalize homosexuality.

In a memorandum issued Tuesday, President Barack Obama directed U.S. agencies working abroad, including the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development, to use foreign aid to assist gays and lesbians who are facing human rights violations. And he ordered U.S. agencies to protect vulnerable gay and lesbian refugees and asylum seekers.

"The struggle to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons is a global challenge, and one that is central to the United States' commitment to promoting human rights," Obama said in a statement.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is also expected to speak about the announcements in Geneva later Tuesday.

SHOCKING: Library association's 'Banned Book Week' really 'gay' promotion?

The First Amendment that assures Americans free speech has been hijacked for a political agenda that promotes homosexuality and other sexual alternatives to children through the nation's libraries, contends an advocate for safe and secure reading institutions.

North Carolina Could Institute Constitutional Ban on Gay Marriage

DEMOCRATS MAKING EXCUSES--SAY THE AMENDMENT MAY KEEP BUSINESS FROM LOCATING HER?  ARE YOU KIDDING?

September 12, 2011

RALEIGH, N.C. (The Blaze/AP) – It seems the gay marriage debate is heating up in North Carolina. Last month, The Blaze brought you the story of Pastor Nancy Petty, a lesbian spiritual leader at Pullen Memorial Baptist church in Raleigh, N.C., who is refusing to sign marriage licenses until a marriage equality is instituted in the state.

NCFRW LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Grassroots Alert from Joyce Krawiec
jrkrawiec@aol.com

Marriage Amendment

August 17, 2011

We have been waiting and working for a very long time for a vote on a Marriage Amendment in NC. It is now time to turn up the heat. We need to make calls to legislators, email those legislators, write letters to legislators and mail to their home districts.

When speaking with legislators remember to stay positive and stay on message.

Strong majorities of Americans oppose gay marriage. Supporters of Same Sex Marriage (SSM) therefore seek to change the subject to just about anything: discrimination, benefits, homosexuality, gay rights, federalism, our sacred constitution. Our goal is simple: Shift the conversation rapidly back to marriage. Don't get sidetracked. Marriage is the issue. Marriage is what we care about. Marriage really matters. It's just common sense.

THE MOST EFFECTIVE SINGLE SENTENCE:

Extensive and repeated polling agrees that the single most effective message is:

"Gays and Lesbians have a right to live as they choose, they don't have the right to redefine marriage for all of us."

Language to avoid at all costs: "Ban same-sex marriage." It causes us to lose about ten percentage points in polls. Don't use it. Say we're against "redefining marriage" or in favor of "marriage as the union of husband and wife" NEVER "banning same-sex marriage."

It appears that we are safe in the Senate and we will concentrate our efforts on the House. The Legislators that we are contacting are as follows with some history on a few: I have called each one of these, more than once. I am identifying the conversation with the ones that I was able to reach.

Rep. William Brisson (Bladen and Cumberland Counties) new district will be parts of Bladen and Sampson counties also. William.Brisson@ncleg.net -(910) 862-7007 - Mailing address: P.O. Box 531, Dublin, N.C. 28332 - has sponsored marriage amendment and he is an absolute must to have with us. He has indicated that he will vote "yes" but we need to make certain he doesn't cave.

Rep. James Crawford - (Granville, Vance, Person) Jim.Crawford@ncleg.net- (252) 492-0185 Mailing address: 509 College St, Oxford, N.C. 27565 -has been a primary sponsor many times. I spoke with him and he told me that he has promised the governor he wouldn't vote against her again. (he voted for 7 veto overrides) He believes in the amendment and wants to see it passed. He may reconsider his commitment to the governor. I reminded him, respectfully, that he doesn't represent the governor, he represents his NC citizens within his district.

Rep. Beverly Earle - (Mecklenburg) Beverly.Earle@ncleg.net - (704) 333-7180 Mailing address: 312 S. Clarkson St., Charlotte, N.C. 28202

Rep. Elmer Floyd - (Cumberland) - Elmer.Floyd@ncleg.net (910) 488-6903 Mailing address: 207 Courtney St, Fayetteville, N.C. 28301

Rep. Rosa Gill - (Wake) - Rosa.Gill@ncleg.net - (919) 821-0425 Mailing address: 2408 Foxtrot Rd, Raleigh, N.C. 27610 - I spoke with her and she didn't seem to know that marriage was not already protected. She didn't think an amendment is necessary.

Rep. Ken Goodman - (Montgomery, Richmond, Scotland, Hoke, Robeson) Ken.Goodman@ncleg.net - (910) 997-2712 - Mailing address: 832 Williamsburg Dr, Rockingham, N.C. 28379 - I spoke with him. He said judges have not overruled the NC laws and he didn't think an amendment was necessary. He said he is libertarian enough to think that it's not the govt's business. Remind him that statutes can be thrown out by a judge, an amendment can't.

Rep. Charles Graham - (Robeson) Charles.Graham@ncleg.net - (910) 739-3969 - Mailing address: 479 Bee Gee Rd, Lumberton, N.C. 28358 - he is from a very socially conservative district, Lumbee Indian area.

Rep. Dewey Hill - (Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson) - Dewey.Hill@ncleg.net - (910) 642-6044 - Mailing address: P.O. Box 723, Whiteville, N.C. 28472 - I talked with him and he appears to be solidly in favor of. He told me he plans to vote" for". We need to make certain he stays firm and thank him also.

Rep. Marvin Lucas - (Cumberland) - Marvin.Lucas@ncleg.net - (910) 497-2733 - Mailing address: 3318 Hedgemoor Cr, Spring Lake, N.C. 28390 - has never sponsored, his position is unknown.

Rep. Frank McGuirt - (Anson, Union) - Frank.McGuirt@ncleg.net - (704) 233-4618 - Mailing address: P.O. Box 613, Wingate, N.C. 28174 - he is a new legislator, appointed to fill a vacant seat. His old district is heavily Democrat, new district is heavily Republican so he needs to feel the heat. I spoke with him and he said he believes marriage is 1 man, 1 woman, but he doesn't think we need an amendment.

Rep. Marian McLawhorn - (Pitt) - Marian.McLawhorn@ncleg.net - (252) 524-3113 - Mailing address: P.O. Box 399, Grifton, N.C. 28530 - she has never sponsored, position unknown.

Rep. Annie Mobley - (Bertie, Gates, Hertford, Perquimans, Pasquotank) - Annie.Mobley@ncleg.net
(252) 332-5463 - Mailing address: 353 South Church Rd, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910 - I spoke with her. She is a possible YES but said she has some problems with the amendment. I asked what made her uncomfortable. She asked if I would call her back next week, she was going to a meeting and would be tied up this week...so she is, obviously, thinking.

Rep. Bill Owens - (Camden, Currituck, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Chowan, Tyrell) - Bill.Owens@ncleg.net
- (252) 335-0167 - Mailing address: 113 Hunters Trail East, Elizabeth City, N.C. 27909 - he has never cosponsored but indicated to me that he was leaning YES.

Rep. Timothy Spear - (Chowan, Dare, Hyde, Washington, Beaufort) - Tim.Spear@ncleg.net - (252) 797-4481 - Mailing address: 612 Mt. Tabor Rd, Creswell, N.C. 27928 - We must have him. He said he is a solid YES, but he will be under tremendous pressure.

Rep. William Wainwright - (Craven, Lenoir, Greene) - William.Wainwright@ncleg.net - (252) 447-7379 - Mailing address: P.O. Box 33, Havelock, N.C. 28532 - has never sponsored and his position is unknown. He indicated that he had not made a decision and that everyone should vote their conscience.

Rep. Winkie Wilkins - (Durham, Person, Granville) - Winkie.Wilkins@ncleg.net - (336) 599-7336 - Mailing address: 210 Fair Oaks Dr, Roxboro, N.C. 27574 - Indicated to me that he was leaning YES, but told someone else that he was probably NO.

WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 4 OF THESE DEMOCRATS TO VOTE "YES" ON MARRIAGE AMENDMENT.

PLEASE CALL THEM AND EMAIL...IF YOU LIVE IN THEIR DISTRICT, OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOES, PLEASE GET AS MANY CONTACTS GENERATED AS POSSIBLE.

WE ALSO NEED LETTERS TO THE EDITOR. I HAVE PREPARED A SAMPLE AND WILL DO MORE. YOUR MEMBERS CAN JUST COPY AND PASTE OR EDIT AS DESIRED AND SEND IN TO YOUR LOCAL PAPERS.

TIME IS SHORT ON THIS ONE. WE MUST ACT NOW. WE HAVE A COALITION MEETING EACH MONDAY. I WILL UPDATE YOU AGAIN SOON.

Talking Points for Discussion and Letters:

NC is the only southern state that has not protected marriage in its' Constitution. Currently, our marriage statutes, that define marriage as between a man and a woman, can be overturned by a court.

Marriage is between a husband and wife. The people of [this state] do not want marriage to be anything but that. We do not want government or judges changing that definition for us today or our children tomorrow.

Marriage is uniquely beneficial to society because it is the foundation of the family and the basic building block of a civilized and productive society. Marriage benefits are overwhelming, according to all statistics. It is not merely a private contract, but a social institution of great public value to families, children, our economy and the entire state.

We all have heard the positive benefits of marriage to children: Lower poverty rates, less likely to commit suicide, less than half as likely to commit crime, less than half as likely to become pregnant out of wedlock, better development academically and socially, and the list goes on.

According to Heritage Foundation, marriage decline costs Americans $112 Billion per year. This should make marriage stability one of the most important issues facing America today.

Even if one doesn't believe the institution of marriage came down from Mt. Sinai carved in stone, we know in our hearts and minds, that marriage is the institution that defines a family and is the cornerstone for all of society.

It should be protected and nurtured.

Burr explains vote-switch on ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’

By Ben Geman - 12/18/10 05:09 PM ET

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.)  (RINO) joined seven other Republicans in voting to end the military’s “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy Saturday afternoon, just hours after he backed an unsuccessful filibuster of the bill.

Burr told reporters after the final vote that it’s not the right time to change the policy, which is why he joined most other Republicans trying to block the bill Saturday morning.

But Burr also believes that overall, the policy that bars gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military is wrong, which is why he supported the measure on final passage hours later, he said.

“I have vehemently objected to making a policy change of this magnitude at this time,” he said, but added that once the filibuster was overcome, “that settled that.”

“I don’t think this is the right time to make a major policy change like this when we have got troops deployed,” Burr said, decrying the lack of an opportunity to offer amendments.  But he added of the repeal: “This is, I think, a policy that generationally is right.”

“A majority of Americans have grown up at a time that they don’t think exclusion is the right thing for the United States to do,” Burr said, also noting, “It is not accepted practice anywhere else in our society and it only makes sense.”

Burr is the top Republican on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee and his state is home to major military installations. He said the military needs more time to prepare for the change.  “We have got hundreds of thousands of troops deployed in combat areas today. We haven’t put any thought into how we implement this within the ranks of our military,” Burr said. “I think it is irresponsible, but we will dump it in [Defense] Secretary Gates’ lap now because he is the one that is in control of the timeline, and we will find out whether politics trumps good execution.”

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) also voted to uphold the filibuster Saturday morning but then supported the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” repeal on final passage. The bill now heads to President Obama for his signature.
Next time around we hope the Democrats have a moderate running!  We might as well have supported Elaine Marshall!

Freedom Federation Pledges Full Mobilization on Behalf of 40 Million Americans to Overturn DADT Repeal

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 18, 2010

Freedom Federation Pledges Full Mobilization on Behalf of 40 Million Americans to Overturn DADT Repeal
http://www.freedomfederation.org/

Washington, DC - Mathew Staver, on behalf the Freedom Federation, made the following statement in response to the Senate's vote to repeal Section 654, Title 10, U.S.C. (1993), which is usually mislabeled by the subsequent Executive policy known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT): "Our armed forces should take heart, because the American people will not turn its back on you. This vote happened because opportunistic Senators - only days before Christmas - put political interest groups above supporting our men and women in uniform."

Staver continued, "This action will be overturned in the next Congress because it breaks the bond of trust that must exist between the military and those who command in the Pentagon and Congress. Today's vote will prove as costly to its proponents as ObamaCare was to its advocates. We promise a full mobilization of faith-based and policy organizations, veterans, and military families in the states of every Senator who voted for repeal of DADT against the advice of our service chiefs and during a time of war. Those Senators - and the Pentagon leaders responsible for this breach of trust - should understand that they will be the object of concerted political action against them."

The Freedom Federation is a federation of multiracial, multiethnic, and multigenerational faith-based and policy leaders and organizations representing 40 million people. The Freedom Federation is not a separate organization. It is a federation of organizations with large and unique constituencies that share common core values. Ninety-four organizations were represented on a letter from the Freedom Federation which was hand-delivered this week to every member of Congress, warning Congress not to repeal DADT.

A partial listing of some of the organizations signing the letter includes, but is not limited to, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Teen Mania Ministries, American Association of Christian Counselors, Let Freedom Ring, Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, American Family Association, Family Research Council; Liberty Counsel, Liberty Alliance Action, Vision America, The Oak Initiative, The Call to Action, Concerned Women for America, High Impact Leadership Coalition, Campaign for Working Families, Conservative Action Project, Traditional Values Coalition, Renewing American Leadership, Conservative HQ, Constitution Party, Bott Radio Network, Center for Military Readiness, Strang Communications, and many more.

The Rest of the Story on PFC Manning that you didn't hear on the news!

The mainstream media in USA has had this buried so deep they thought it would never see the light of day. The treasonous soldier who leaked a quarter million secret documents to the internet is a gay activist who is angry with the US military for proscribing overt homosexual behavior. To vent his anger it appears he conspired with Julian Assange to destroy the entire United States of America at worst or severely impair its ability to navigate the present minefield of world politics at the least. In any event it is likely that his fit of picque will likely cause US service members death and dismemberment. Prior to this event I had no particular strong opinions one way or the other regarding DADT. I certainly do now.

Another example of what the media doesn’t report… the story, behind the story. And again, the government got it wrong...What the media leaves out: Army staffer who leaked thousands of documents to WikiLeaks website is homosexual activist - angry at ban on gays in military.

The US Army intelligence analyst who has been arrested for disclosing more than more than 90,000 intelligence reports and more than 150,000 diplomatic cables to the Wikileaks website is a homosexual activist enraged at the military's "anti-gay" policies.

The massive publication of top-secret documents has been called one of the greatest security breeches in US history and has reportedly endangered the lives of US personnel around the world.

Bradley Manning, who is now awaiting court-marshal at a military stockade in Quantico, VA, was arrested last May for giving a classified video to the Wikileaks website, and later it became clear that he had given them thousands of other military documents. He is an open homosexual, and his anger at the military's rejection of homosexuality appears to be the major reason for his actions.

While in the Army, Manning has openly participated in gay rights marches, even publicly demonstrating against the military. In addition:

His Facebook page reportedly included a photo of him marching in a gay pride parade. His big interest was to "Repeal the Ban" on homosexuals serving openly in the military. He proclaimed his support for the National Center for Transgender Equality. He also talked about going to gay bars.

According to newspaper reports, he was prone to fits of rage. At one point Manning was demoted for assaulting an officer. He also wore custom dog tags labeling himself as "Humanist" (as his religious affiliation). And like many male homosexuals, Manning reportedly had a terrible relationship with his father, who had also been in the military and was divorced from his mother.

Manning was very upset over a breakup earlier this year with his homosexual lover, a student at Brandeis University who according to the New York Times described himself on his blog as a "drag queen."

The Montreal Gazette reported that "Manning could 'identify' with Iraqis and Afghans who he believed had suffered as a result of U.S. policies, especially because he himself was a "a member of a minority" treated unfairly by the military."

Manning said he spent 14-hour days copying the classified documents to send to the Wikileaks website.

As the Montreal Gazette reported,

Private Manning described how he downloaded the video and lip-synched to Lady Gaga as he copied hundreds of thousand of diplomatic cables.

"Hillary Clinton and several thousand diplomats around the world are going to have a heart attack," he boasted. But even as he professed a perhaps inflated sense of purpose, he called himself "emotionally fractured" and a "wreck" and said he was "self-medicating like crazy."

Not surprisingly, Manning has since been applauded on homosexual blogs and websites across the country.

General media blackout on Manning's "gay" issue

Except for a few newspaper accounts, the mainstream media in the US has completely ignored any "gay" aspect to this story, and especially his anti-military homosexual activism. To our knowledge, none of the major TV or cable network news programs have discussed it. Though Glen Beck did mention that "he was jilted by a boyfriend or something." (That's the same Glenn Beck who doesn't have a problem with homosexuality.)

For example, on Monday The Atlantic posted an article, "WikiLeaks: One Analyst, So Many Documents". It discusses Manning in some detail, but simply describes him as "a disaffected young man".

It's pretty strange, to say the least. One wonders what else the media refuse to report.

Army ignored its own policy…

Ironically, a major issue with the Manning case is that the Army was ignoring its own policy on homosexuals serving openly.

Jonah Knox (a pseudonym used by a US Army analyst) points this out in a great article on the Accuracy in Media website this week:

Army regulation restricts leaders from determining (officially) if a soldier is a homosexual and therefore someone who should be discharged. For instance, AR 600-20, Paragraph 4-19, Subparagraph d(3) ("Noncredible information") details instances that are not considered grounds for Army leaders to open an inquiry to determine whether someone is a homosexual and therefore should be discharged. The Army regulation states that "noncredible information" includes, "The only information known is an associational activity, such as going to a gay bar, possessing or reading homosexual publications, associating with known homosexuals, or marching in a gay rights rally in civilian clothes."

In Manning's case, he had a Facebook page devoted to homosexual causes that included a photo of him marching in a gay pride parade. His associates said he went to gay bars and he talked openly about his homosexuality to others. Several have said that he was angry with the military because of the failure to repeal the homosexual exclusion policy. Incredibly, however, the Army may not have considered any of the credible evidence that he was a homosexual.

It is true that Army regulations on homosexuality create a lot of confusion. And that may be intentional based on current Department of Defense policy. The Center for Military Readiness (CMR) says this in its analysis of current Department of Defense policy.

In other words, had the Army been following the law (rather than the Clinton "Don't Ask" policy regulations), this would not have happened.

Incident reiterates reasons for excluding homosexuals from military

Most public health organizations (including the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health) have observed that homosexuals are far more susceptible to mental illness, alcoholism, drug abuse, and violence than the general population.

The inherent emotional weakness and moral instability of people involved in homosexual behaviors and its resulting possible damage to the military have been documented going back over 100 years.

For further reading: This week Dr. Scott Lively published a fascinating article which discusses this, "The Wikileaks 'Gay' Connection." We recommend it.  http://www.defendthefamily.com/pfrc/newsarchives.php?id=7661895

(Just like the Fort Hood massacre, ignoring and not enforcing the military’s/ government’s own policy creates more (emboldened) breeches , abuses and violations. This guy is a traitor, just like the Muslim major that cost American lives.)

Reid to Push Another Vote on Military Gay Ban

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Senate's top Democrat said Wednesday that he will call for a vote later this month on legislation that would allow gays to serve openly in the military.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's announcement makes good on his pre-election promise to resurrect legislation that would repeal the 1993 law known as "don't ask, don't tell."

GRASSROOTS ACTION ALERT!

Four "Lame Duck" tricks from Pelosi-Reid

From: Grassroots Action alert@grassfire.net
Our friends at Concerned Women for America have identified the four "Lame Duck tricks" they are bracing for from Pelosi and Reid starting Monday. Please see below.

From the Desk of:  Penny Nance, Chief  Executive Officer
Concerned Women for America

They are baaaaack!

On MONDAY Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and their leftist allies will be on Capitol Hill more determined than ever to force their ambitious wish list of anti-family and anti-values legislation down our collective throats.....unless you and I stop them cold.

Concerned Women for America has identified FOUR KEY LIBERAL AGENDA ITEMS -- radical legislation that we expect will be pushed hard during this "Lame Duck" session of Congress, and we need your help so we can respond at a moment's notice when they try to slip these favorite liberal tricks through
the back door.

Here are the FOUR CRITICAL AGENDA ITEMS we expect from the Reid-Pelosi Lame Duck Congress... starting Monday:

1. TAX INCREASES:  On January 1, 2011 American families and businesses across the nation will be saddled with a $3 trillion tax hike -- the largest in our nation's history.  This tax is an attack on marriage, family and small business!
2. MORE GOVERNMENT SPENDING:  Despite a failing economy and failing job market, our government continues to print money it doesn't have -- running up deficits that are putting our children's futures in jeopardy!
3. RADICAL JUDICIAL NOMINEES:  President Obama is solidifying his radical agenda for generations that follow by nominating judges who share his "progressive" ideology. Even worse, he's actively pursuing justices who aspire to use foreign law in interpreting our Constitution!
4. REPEALING "DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL":  Pelosi and Reid are eager to force the military to adopt a radical homosexual agenda -- an agenda that undermines our military, and puts people of faith who are serving in a "no-win" situation.

Given their history, I am convinced that Pelosi and Reid will move rapidly on these critical issues -- making it imperative that we can respond at a moment's notice.  That is why CWA is launching a national petition to "Stop The Reid-Pelosi Lame Duck Agenda." If you share my deep concerns that Pelosi and Reid will
ignore the election results and push these pet liberal agenda items through, please go here and sign our petition:  http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=34781&RID=26460101

Together we can de-rail the Pelosi-Reid Lame Duck Express before it does irreparable harm to our nation, but the key is for us to respond quickly -- before they can build any momentum.

Even as I write this critical alert, they are carefully plotting and scheming how best to advance their radically-charged agenda as early as November 15!  That's why we can't sit back - not even for a moment!  Please take fast action with me by clicking below and adding your name to our "Stop The Reid/Pelosi Lame Duck" petition.  http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=34781&RID=26460101

After signing our petition, help me quickly assemble a strong coalition of conservatives to help CWA challenge and beat back the Reid/Pelosi liberal wish list by alerting your friends and family to follow your lead by clicking below and signing our national petition:  http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=34781&RID=26460101

For decades CWA has been an unwavering presence on Capitol Hill. We are literally in the eye of this growing political storm, and we are ready to storm the political gates to protect our nation, our families and the generations that follow.

Thank you for standing with me!

The Gay Bill of Special Rights

The Gay Bill of Special Rights may come up up for debate in the House of Representatives any time now. We are running out of time, and I need your help to keep our lobbying efforts alive.

MESSAGE FROM PUBLIC ADVOCATE
of the United States
The Homosexual Onslaught is relentless.

First the Homosexual Lobby rammed their disastrous Thought Control Bill into law. Now the Healthcare bill packed with homosexual paybacks has passed.

And it’s about to get worse.

The Homosexual Lobby is whipping up a tsunami of political momentum. And it is up to pro-family Americans like you and I to save our precious traditional values.

The Gay Bill of Special Right may come up up for debate in the House of Representatives any time now. We are running out of time, and I need your help to keep our lobbying efforts alive.

First, I need your signature on the petition to Congressman.
DONATE TO HELP FIGHT THIS BILL IF YOU CAN!

Should the Gay Bill of Special Rights become the law of the land, the consequences will be disastrous for the family, individual freedom, workplace safety and American business.

If the Homosexual Lobby rams through the Gay Bill of Special Rights, the federal government will hand control of the American economy over to radical homosexuals.

In addition to preferential hiring quotas for homosexuals as a protected “minority,” it will be nearly impossible to terminate or even discipline an open homosexual -- even in day cares or churches.

Employers will be forced to hire even unqualified homosexual candidates or face the Homosexual Lobby’s army of rabid lawyers.

I know this all sounds like something out of a nightmare. If I didn’t spend so much time in the nation’s capital fighting for the Family, I wouldn’t believe it could happen here in America.

All around me, agents of the radical Homosexual Lobby are strutting through the halls of Congress bragging about how they’ve finally beaten us.

And if you and I don’t act now, they may be right.

This is our last chance to stop the Gay Bill of Special Rights. It can be done, but I need your help right away!

If Public Advocate is going to to mount a successful lobbying campaign against the Gay Bill of Special Rights, I must have you sign the petition to your Congressman.

With your signed petition in hand, I can prove that Public Advocate supporters still stand for the American family and against the radical Homosexual Agenda.

My Black Dad & Obama by Lloyd Marcus

I am a black tea party patriot faced with a serious problem concerning my 83 year old father. Dad is an extraordinary man whose life epitomizes the greatness of America.

In the 50s, married with a wife, three kids and employed as a laborer, dad was among the first blacks to break the color barrier into the Baltimore Fire Dept. The white firefighters treated dad like scum and boldly displayed their displeasure with having a “n” in their firehouse.

Dad was the young associate pastor of a storefront church. He treated his 'haters' with love and strove to be the best Christian and firefighter he could be. Dad won “Firefighter of the Year” two times and eventually the respect and admiration of his white fellow firefighters. A white firefighter who once threatened to punch dad in his “black nose” risked his life by going back into a burn building and saved dad's life. The two firefighters became lifelong friends.

While married with a wife and five kids, working as a firefighter and an associate pastor, dad attended college part-time until he graduated. Dad later earned his doctorate degree, which led to him pastoring large churches and authoring a book. Dad also became Chaplain of the Baltimore Fire Dept. Dad's from “laborer with a wife and children to a doctorate degree” success story is the result of his character, faith in Christ and hard work. Dad earned every achievement; no liberal democrat demanded government lowered standards or entitlement programs.

Now, here is my problem I mentioned. Dad loves Barack Obama, a man whose philosophy goes against everything I thought my dad stood for. Despite my attempts to convince dad otherwise, based on my personal experiences attending over 200 tea parties across America traveling on Tea Party Express, dad persists in believing the rallies are racist. Dad believes all criticism of Obama and his agenda is racist. It appears no amount of truth will penetrate the wall of affection dad has for the historic figure he never imagined would exist in his lifetime.

Out of respect, I have not confronted dad, my hero, regarding his irrational support for a president whose agenda so radically goes against his Christian faith; gay marriage, abortion, the murderous partial birth abortion and etc. I also thought, “Dad still bares emotional scars from the horrible racism he experienced in his youth. So perhaps I should be a good son, give the old man a pass and let him enjoy his black president.”

But witnessing the growing tyranny of the Obama regime and his American death march to socialism, I have come to realize it is my patriotic duty to confront my father with the facts about Obama. The stakes are far too high to simply let the old black man enjoy worshiping his first black president. No! America is at risk.

Though in his 80s, dad's is still sharp and pastors four churches. He is bright, articulate and most importantly come November, a voter with influence. Whether dad chooses to accept them on not, I must inform him of the facts about Obama's agenda. Then, when dad goes behind the curtain of the voting booth, he will have to chose between pulling the lever for Godly principles or skin color.

Most of dad's idolatry for president Obama is centered around his skin color. Racism and idolatry are wrong, even when committed by my beloved dad.

I have faith that still surviving deep within dad's “Obama Zombie” brain is the wise, wonderful, righteous and Christian man I have known all of my life.

Disapproving relatives have expressed fear for my safety warning, “Lloyd is foolishly putting his head on the chopping block!”

Think about that folks. My black relatives fear I may suffer physical harm from fellow blacks for daring to disagree with our black president. Meanwhile, whites are afraid to speak out against our black president for fear of being called racist. Dear Lord, what is going on in our country?

Patriot brothers and sisters, the bottom line is while I am not advocating rudeness or bad behavior, it is time we stand up and be more confrontational for our freedoms, liberty and culture. Prayerfully ask God for wisdom regarding the proper timing and approach. But we must start confronting Obama-ites with the truth. We can not allow ourselves to be silenced for fear of being called racist and other threats.

Admittedly, this will be uncomfortable. But many before us have sacrificed all for America. America is worth a little discomfort. My prayers, love and support are with you. God bless.
