TPN—Judson Phillips: The lying liar lies again

Is it any shock that the Obama Regime lies?  At this point, it would be a shock if they told the truth.

The Obama Regime lied about something massive.  It is really hard to tell what is more shocking.  The fact that the Republicans trusted and believed the Regime or the Republicans are not screaming and raising holy hell about the fact the Regime lied to them.

What is this great lie that the Obama Regime suckered the GOP with and why aren't the Republicans screaming about it?

Obama is Becoming Public Enemy Number One

Tea Party Nation—Alan Caruba, February, 11, 2014

America has arrived at a point at which it has never been in its 226 years of existence since the Constitution became effective in 1788. It has a President for whom that Constitution is routinely ignored in his quest to “fundamentally transform” America into a nation it has never been despite the slide into progressive policies that began early in the last century.

His namesake legacy legislation, Obamacare, is wreaking havoc on the lives of millions of Americans who have lost or will lose their healthcare plans that have been replaced with those whose cost is far higher. It is costing the nation jobs, reducing further the income of millions. The Congressional Budget Office just released a report predicting it will cost 2.3 million jobs and add $1 trillion in projected deficits.

As reported by CNSnews on February 6, “The debt of the U.S. government has increased $6.666 trillion since President Barack Obama took office on Jan. 20, 2009, according to the latest numbers released by the Treasury Department. It stands at $17,293,019,654, 981.61. The total debt of the nation did not exceed $6.666 trillion until 2003. The U.S. has accumulated as much debt as it did since its founding.

While in office in his first term, the U.S. credit rating was reduced for the first time in its history.

Whose side are they on?

TPN—Judson Phillips, February 6, 2014

If you need any more proof that Barack Obama and his regime are not on the side of real Americans, you need to look no further than the Department of Homeland Security.

We all remember 9/11.  Well another 9/11 is coming and when it does, the Obama Regime will be to blame.

From the Daily Caller:

The Obama administration has issued new exemptions to a law that bars certain asylum-seekers and refugees who provided “limited material support” to terrorists who are believed to pose no threat from the U.S.

TPN—Judson Phillips: The end of the rule of law in America

January 3, 2014

One of the things that separates America from most of the rest of the world is a concept called the rule of law.  Put simply, America is a nation of laws and they apply to everyone equally.

In America, until now, it did not matter if you were rich or poor, man or woman, black, white, Hispanic, Asian or you came from a plant in the Star Trek universe, the rules applied to you.

Now we see something that effectively means the end of the rule of law in America.  Can anarchy be far behind?

What is this event that spells the end of the rule of law in America?

And the GOP next man in line for 2016 is…

Tea Party Nation—Judson Phillips

December 13, 2013

By now, everyone should know how the Republican Presidential nominating process works.

The GOP establishment gathers and decides who the next man in line to be President is.  There are certain prerequisites.  For example, no conservatives need apply.  You must be a liberal and they prefer that you be from the Northeast.  After all, that is such a winning combination.   Just ask President Romney.

Recently the Republican leadership had a meeting with operatives and staffers to tell them how to run campaigns.  That too has worked out so well in the past, right?  Just ask Mitch McConnell why he still isn’t the Senate Majority Leader.

At the training session, the Republicans unveiled the “New GOP Model for Campaigns.”  Unfortunately, it is pretty much going to be like the old model, which involves ignoring conservatives and losing important races.

But, they are already highlighting the 2016 Establishment nominee.

Who is he?

The left’s dangerous fascination

What is this fascination the left has that is so dangerous?

The left loves dictators and dictatorships.

In recent days, leading members of the Party of Treason from Harry Reid to Nancy Pelosi have been demanding that Barack Obama simply ignore Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling.

Barack Obama has told the House Republicans he will not debate with them on the debt ceiling. “To hell with you evil Republicans! I am a dictator and I will do what I damn well please!” That is Obama’s attitude.

And his attitude is meeting with thundering applause from the left.

Obama has wistfully told people that he wished he had the powers of a dictator. He has looked at people like Egypt’s Muslim brotherhood dictator Mohammad Morsi and wished he could act by decree like Morsi did.

The American left is becoming even more radical than it has been in the past. Only a few days ago, the Atlantic Magazine online published a piece calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment. And a few days earlier, a left wing nut job professor from Georgetown law school called for simply abolishing the Constitution.

That is what the left would ultimately like. They want to see our Constitution thrown on the garbage heap of history.

It is not just the Constitution that they hate. They hate the idea of liberty and freedom. They hate the idea that there should be any restrictions on the power of government.

The left believes that government should have the ultimate decisions for the “greater good.” They do not believe in the rights of freedom or conscience. They believe the government has the right to tell you what to do, what to believe and ultimately whether you even live or die.

The great difference between the liberty state that our founding fathers created and the liberal states we have seen throughout modern history is that role the person plays in society. In the liberty state, the person owns the state. The person is a citizen not a subject. The person is given rights by God that the state cannot take away.

In the states the left loves so much and wants us to emulate, the person is literally the property of the state. The state sets the parameters of all aspects of a person’s life.

One of the best examples of why we must fight liberalism is seen in Britain right now. Britain has the kind of socialist healthcare system that Barack Obama and the Party of Treason want America to have. They have a program called “Pathways.” It is a euthanasia program. Annually, 60,000 people are put on this program. Often their families are not even told. The people are denied food and water and they die. Often it is an agonizing death.

How is this possible?

TPN—Judson Phillips:  The coming darkness
November 24, 2012

Today is the day after black Friday.  It is really the first day of the American Christmas season.  This should be a season of gladness and joy.

Unfortunately, as we go into the end of the year and our holiday season, what lurks on the horizon is not glad tidings but instead gloom and more darkness.

What is coming to America and can we do anything about it?

For the next two years, we are going to see the death of the conservative movement in Washington.   The American government, other than some members of the Supreme Court, is going to be a conservative-free zone.

There will still be conservatives in Washington.  There will be conservatives in the Senate and House of Representatives.   However, there will be no conservatives in the leadership and a conservative agenda will not be advanced.  In fact, just the opposite will happen.  A massive liberal agenda will be in full swing, all with the acquiescence of the Republican Party.

In January, we are going to see massive tax hikes.   First, the Obamacare tax hikes, originally passed in 2010, are going to kick in.    The Bush tax cuts are going to go away.  Obama and the Party of Treason say they want to increase taxes on the rich.  Unfortunately their definition of rich is anyone who is not on Obama’s food stamps.

Two years ago, when Obama signed the law extending the Bush tax cuts, he pointed out that raising taxes in a soft economy would harm the economy.   That was when he was looking at reelection.  Now that he is a lame duck, he doesn’t care.

Actually, Obama understands tax hikes will push us further into the Great Obama Depression.   This is Obama’s goal.  Remember, Obama is a Marxist who believes America is not the greatest nation in the world but the greatest oppressor nation.

Where are the Republicans?

John Boehner has been busy consolidating power in the House of Representatives.  He now has absolute control over the GOP majority.   Eric Cantor has gone along with Boehner and conservatives who object to Boehner’s surrender first policy and big spending policies are simply out of luck.

Where are the conservative Republicans in the House?  You will find them in the House.  You won’t find them in the leadership of the House.

Harry Reid’s top priority coming out of this election is “filibuster reform.”  Anytime any idea comes from the Party of Treason with the word reform attached to it, you do not need to read anything beyond the title to know that it is a bad idea.

Reid wants to eliminate the filibuster, thus making it impossible for Republicans to offer any meaningful resistance in the Senate.  He has already changed the rules in the Senate so that Republicans cannot offer any amendments to bills unless Reid specifically wants the amendment.

In short, he is turning what is supposed to be a deliberative body into little more than his own rubber stamp.

As we go into 2013, John Boehner is going to be raising his freshly laundered white flag of surrender early and often.  He will surrender on taxes.  They are going to go up.   He is going to surrender on the debt ceiling.  He is going to surrender on spending.  The only spending cuts we will see will be in one of the few areas the Constitution specifically mandates a role for the Federal Government.  He will cut the defense budget so that by the time Obama leaves office in 2016, China will be the world’s top military superpower.

Our spending and borrowing will continue to push us on a trajectory towards a Grecian outcome.

We have two choices.

We can surrender or we can fight.

Since I have never been a fan of John Boehner, I say we fight.

Saying we should fight is easy.  Actually doing it is hard.

If we are going fight, we need a plan.

Here’s a plan.

TPN—Judson Phillips: No Free Speech in Charlotte

As America waits for the gathering of losers that is referred to officially as the Democratic National Convention, some people are expressing concerns that the Constitution has effectively been repealed in the convention zone in Charlotte.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Starting Saturday, someone walking through Charlotte's central business district could run afoul of the law by carrying water bottles, hair spray, socks or magic markers under sweeping security rules enacted ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

It would take a particularly strict reading of the rules for someone to be arrested simply for possessing one of those items, but the possibility exists — which worries protesters and free speech advocates. They fear authorities could trample on people's constitutional rights in the name of protecting public safety.

The changes to city ordinances adopted earlier this year for "extraordinary events" ban a long list of actions and items that would otherwise be legal from a more than 100-square-block zone. The area includes spots as much as a mile from the sports venues where the Democratic Party events are to be held.

The new rules have already been used for events before the convention and will remain on the books after it's over.

The special rules that went into effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday could also bar anyone other than government employees from carrying handbags and backpacks or possessing soda cans, drink coolers, scarves, bike helmets, baby strollers or pets not specifically permitted as service animals.

A section banning "a container or object of sufficient weight to be used as a projectile" could be interpreted to include almost anything, from an apple to an iPhone.

Those caught violating any of these prohibitions could be subject to arrest and jail.

Similar prohibitions have been in place at past conventions, especially those following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Outside the Republican National Convention in 2004, New York City police carried out mass arrests, detaining hundreds of people for days in miserable conditions on a Hudson River pier. Most of those charges were later dropped or thrown out, triggering dozens of lawsuits against the city.

At the rain-soaked Republican Convention in Tampa earlier this week, officials banned umbrellas, baseballs and puppet-making materials. There, the rules went largely untested after only a fraction of the expected protesters showed up due to worries about Hurricane Isaac.

Charlotte's Uptown business district is home to the headquarters of Bank of America and substantial operations for Wells Fargo, two of the nation's largest financial institutions. The "March on Wall Street South" scheduled for Sunday is expected to draw thousands of protesters.

Members of Occupy Charlotte, who are helping to organize the march, said turnout for that and other protests could get a boost from demonstrators deterred from Tampa by the weather. At the other end of the political spectrum, tea party activists and other right wing groups are also planning protests.

The Democrats always claim to be champions of civil liberties until they become burdensome for the Party of Treason.

In case no one remembers, Charlotte is a part of the United States. We have a Constitution that guarantees freedom and liberty. While the Democrats prefer the police state, that is not America.

At this point, these rules are so draconian, I hope Charlotte is sued early and often. Perhaps if the city is bankrupted through civil rights lawsuits, no other city will be so anxious to try and act as if citizens do not have rights.

TPN—Alan Caruba: Can We Avoid "Taxmageddon" in 2013?

In 1959, during an interview with the late Mike Wallace, Ayn Rand, the author of “Atlas Shrugged”, said “A free market will not break down. All depressions are caused by government interference and the cure that is always offered is more of the same poisons that caused the disaster.”

After the stock market crashed on October 29, 1929, the government’s solution to the crisis was to raise the top tax rate from 25% to 63%. Successively this was increased to 79% and then to 94%, effectively choking off capital formation, investment, and the incentive to start new businesses.

Not until World War Two broke out in Europe in 1939 and threatened the security of the United States and its allies did Franklin D. Roosevelt reverse his failed policies that had stretched out the Depression, turning to private enterprise to build the airplanes, tanks, and guns that would be needed to defeat the Axis powers and, in 1941, the Empire of Japan. Capitalism saved America.

America suffered a little known shock to its economy on September 15, 2008, just a month and a half shy of Election Day, when around 11 AM the Federal Reserve noted a tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the nation to the tune of $550 billion dollars in just over an hour or so. The decision was made to close the accounts. Had they not done that, the Reserve estimated that by 2 PM the entire economy of the nation would have collapsed. Within 24 hours, the world economy would have followed.

The financial crisis this triggered was put off by letting the investment house of Lehman Brothers fail and by getting Congress to agree to a $700 billion program to bail out other investment firms and the insurance firm, AIG. Simply put, without a banking system, you do not have an economy.

Americans are in for another shock to the system on January 1, 2013 when nearly a half trillion in higher taxes will become the law of the land. Taxmageddon would be the largest tax hike in the history of the nation.

The taxes pose such a threat to the anemic “recovery” the economy is said to be having that a think tank called the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget has been urging the CEOs of corporations and financial institutions to meet with members of Congress to bring pressure to resolve the gridlock that has brought the nation to the precipice of yet another financial crisis.

How bad is the prospect of January 1, 2013? A May 11th Heritage Foundation analysis listed the following:

# Income tax rates shoot up,
# the child credit rate is cut in half,
# the marriage penalty roars back to life,
# the capital gains tax rate goes up,
# the dividend tax rate soars,
# the payroll tax rate jumps two percentage points,
# the death tax is restored to its punitive past,
# the Alternative Minimum Tax relief expires, and
# a uniquely pernicious additional payroll tax hike from Obamacare takes effect unless the Supreme Court strikes down the law as unconstitutional.

TPN—Judson Phillips: Decline?

Once again, the media is trying to push a story that fits their narrative. Yesterday, ABC news released a “poll” saying that the Tea Party was in decline.

Really?

There is joy in the newsrooms of the drive by media. Allegedly we are in decline.

This narrative is not new. In fact, it is three years old. Ever since the incredibly popular tax day Tea Party rallies of three years ago, the drive by media has been pushing that narrative.

The Tea Party is not holding rallies the way we used to. The movement has become much more sophisticated. We are involved in campaigns now, not just holding signs and making a lot of noise.

TPN—Judson Phillips: Big Oil and Big America versus Obama.

Does anyone else get tired of the constant bovine scatology that is Barack Obama speeches? If Obama opens his mouth, you know a couple of things. First he is lying and second what ever he is supporting hurts America. What has he done now?

TPN—Alan Caruba: How (and Why) Obama has Impeded Recovery--During and after his 2008 campaign, Barack Obama was hailed as the second coming of Franklin D. Roosevelt. History records that Roosevelt presided over the Great Depression, begun in the previous administration of Herbert Hoover who got most of the blame. Roosevelt’s policies extended it well beyond the normal recovery from a recession. In his book, “Dupes”, historian Paul Kengor, wrote “Roosevelt won in a landslide in November 1932. To liberals and traditional Democrats everywhere, he was more than just a new face at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He was a kind of political savior at the most desperate time in their lives.” Roosevelt was immediately assailed by the Communist Party USA as he launched his New Deal stew of programs intended to reverse the effects of the economic crisis. As Kengor notes, “No president had ever moved so far to the left, and so quickly, but it was not enough for the comrades.” They portrayed Roosevelt “as a warmonger bent on wreaking havoc on the poor USSR (Soviet Russia)” because they feared the U.S. might go to war against it.

TPN—Judson Phillips: Merry Christmas Comrade

Barack Obama is in the Christmas mood. He has just given a major Christmas present. Who did he give it to? Well, you can be sure it was not America. Obama gave it to Iran and by extension to the Chinese and to the Russians.

Obama has given our enemies some of our most sophisticated technology.

Five days ago, a super secret RQ-170 Sentinel Drone went down in Iran. If the government knows how the drone went down, they are not saying.

The RQ-170 looks like a smaller version of a B-2 bomber. It has special paint and materials that make it difficult to detect by radar. It has sophisticated reconnaissance technology on board. And it has the guidance system that other RQ-170’s use and presumably many of our other advances unmanned aerial vehicles also use.

According to press reports, the RQ-170 was programmed to find a place to do a controlled landing if it lost contact with its controller. That is apparently what happened here.

This opens a lot of questions. First, this is extremely sophisticated and sensitive technology. The idea of doing a soft landing is a great idea if you are testing the drone in America. When you are in the hostile world, why is this done? Why wasn’t the drone programmed to crash itself if it lost contact with its controller? Why wasn’t there some type of self-destruct device onboard to destroy the drone before it could be captured?

Those are all important questions, but they have nothing to do with Obama giving our enemies a great gift.

When the drone went down, several options were discussed in the administration to either retrieve the drone or destroy it. Obama, who just yesterday invoked his alleged toughness by reminding people that he allegedly ordered the mission on Bin Laden, chose to do nothing.

Dopey Deadlines & Deadbeat Democrats

By Alan Caruba, Tea Party Nation

Is Tim Geithner the most clueless Secretary of the Treasury this nation has ever had? Is he the Eddie Haskell of national debt, so eager to please Obama that he has been a party to driving it up by trillions since his master took the oath of office?

Now, we are all forced to witness the idiotic political machinations of the White House trying desperately to put off the greatest financial debacle to face the nation in its entire history. It’s so bad that Moody’s Investor service has the U.S. “under review” to take away our unparalleled triple-A rating.

What makes his August 2nd deadline to raise the debt ceiling particularly obscene is that it is the anniversary of the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence.

For you history buffs, August 2nd was also the date in 1934 that Adolf Hitler became the Fuhrer of Germany and the same day, five years later in 1939 that Albert Einstein and Leo Szilard wrote a letter to Franklin D. Roosevelt urging him to begin developing an atomic bomb.

It makes you wonder if history isn’t just a record of wars won and lost, along with an unbroken series of mistakes that would make any sane person scratch their head in bewilderment.

How did the United States of America go from Thomas Jefferson, the brilliant author of the Declaration of Independence to Timothy Geithner, a very upwardly mobile student of government and monetary affairs?

Suffice to say, as a public servant, he has served to the satisfaction of his mentors in numerous positions and also in liberal enclaves such as the Council on Foreign Affairs and a three-year stint at Kissinger Associates, learning from one of the most Machiavellian characters of the modern era. At the tender age of 42, he was named president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The liberal elite take care of its own.

Geithner is the ying to Obama’s yang. They are perfectly suited to each other because both get their jollies playing the great game of state, although it should be said that Geithner is far better prepared for that role having studied abroad, including two years, 1981-2 studying Mandarin at Peking University and Beijing Normal University. His M.A. is in international economics and Asian studies from John Hopkins University School of advanced International Studies.

Obama’s education ended with a law degree from Harvard. Nobody knows what grades he made at Occidental, Columbia University or Harvard. He is often mistakenly referred to as a former professor of constitutional law at Chicago University, but in fact he was akin to a teaching assistant or adjunct, the lowest end of the academic ladder.

Obama’s mentors included a known member of the Communist Party when he was growing up in Hawaii, various “Marxist professors” at Occidental and Columbia University, and Bill Ayers who gained fame as a domestic terrorist, a member of the Weather Underground who describes himself as a “Communist with a small c.” To bring matters full circle, Ayers is a retired University of Chicago professor.

All this is by way of background to suggest that the debt ceiling will be increased because there is no alternative.

The Washington Posts’ Jennifer Rubin, a White House reporter, posted this on their blog on July 13th.

“Today’s White House meeting suggests there is no deal remotely in sight on the debt ceiling. A GOP aide familiar with the talks told me, “Today was the most tense meeting of the week. In fact, the president ended the meeting by abruptly leaving the room. During the meeting, the speaker challenged the president to offer real spending cuts. He said the gimmicks and accounting tricks that Washington has used for decades are not applicable here.” House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has had enough. “When White House officials attempted to justify budgetary gimmicks, the speaker said pointedly ‘We’re not doing that anymore.’”

At some point you wonder what is the point of keeping the talks from public scrutiny. The pathetically passive media is not demanding particulars from the White House. So, Obama sits back, refusing to present any significant cuts. He’s serious about three things: making the Republicans out to be the bad guys, doing nothing to upset his base and insisting on tax hikes. If this is where he really stands, it’s time, perhaps, to pull the plug or pull back the curtain on the charade.”

The only thing on Obama’s mind is how to position himself as the hero that saved America from the tripling of a huge debt that is mostly his making and to make the Republicans look like horrible people for insisting that the government stop spending money faster than Ben Bernanke’s Federal Reserve can print it.

As Karl Rove recent wrote in The Wall Street Journal, “The president has not only governed as a liberal—he’s governed as an incompetent liberal, thereby reminding voters that electing a Republican Congress and president next year is the only way to change direction.” A recent Gallup poll has Obama losing to any generic Republican candidate!

Little of this before, on, or after August 2, 2011 has anything to do with a responsible response by the Democrats in Congress or the White House to a huge debt that just keeps getting bigger with every passing day.

Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury, once said, “It's not tyranny we desire; it's a just, limited, federal government.” Americans, since the beginning of the 20th century have been suffering the tyranny of socialism and a bloated government with seemingly no limits on its growth or its spending.

Boehner, Cantor and the House GOP leadership still don’t get it.

TEA PARTY NATION, MARCH 15th, 2011

by Judson Phillips

Today, there will be a vote on a continuing resolution in the House that will keep the government running for another three weeks. They seem excited they are cutting an amazing $6 billion from the budget. $6 billion out of a budget that has a $1.5 trillion dollar deficit. Oh, that’s brave.

Representatives Michele Bachmann, Steve King, along with Tea Party Nation and other groups have drawn a line in the sand. We will not support any continuing resolution that does not defund the $105 billion slipped in for Obamacare and that does not defund Planned Parenthood.

Jim Jordan, a Representative from Ohio, who is a member of the Republican Study Committee called it right when he said, “With the federal government facing record deficits and a mammoth debt hanging over our economy and our future, we must do more than cut spending in bite-sized pieces,”

The party line being parroted by some of the drive by media is that the GOP leadership is being forced to fight the Tea Party movement to avoid being painted as “extremists” by the Democrats and the Obama regime.

Wait, I thought being called extremist by the Democrats was to be expected for anyone whose politics is anywhere to the right of Karl Marx.

The country is being driven off the economic cliff and the GOP leadership is worried about being called bad names?

Obama, Pelosi and Reid have been driving the nation, at full speed, towards an economic disaster. Stopping this is “extreme?”

It has been two weeks since the General Accounting Office came out with a report showing that by eliminating duplicate agencies and ineffective agencies, the government could save hundreds of billions of dollars.

Where is Boehner and the GOP leadership on this one? This is one they should be out in front on. The GOP leadership should have already introduced legislation to start eliminating these programs. Between those cuts and eliminating the $105 billion for Obamacare and defunding Planned Parenthood, we would be talking about some serious and significant budget reductions.

Unfortunately, as we at Tea Party Nation have pointed out before, the House leadership does not seem serious about cutting the budget. There is an old political joke that has been repeated numerous times on Tea Party Nation. With Democrats you get more of the same. With Republicans, you get less of the same. We are getting less of the same with Speaker Boehner.

This continuing resolution will most likely pass. Fortunately it is only a three-week resolution. We need to stop the next one. The next continuing resolution is where the Tea Party movement needs to make its stand. Either we see hundreds of billions in cuts or we shut the government down. It has come to that.

Speaker Boehner has forgotten how and why he is in the Speaker’s chair. It is up to the conservatives in the House to send him a message and help save American from an economic meltdown.
