#NCSEN: Apparently, what was BAD for Liddy Dole is O-KAY for Kay

The Daily Haymaker, by Brant Clifton •

Democrats in DC and in Raleigh are working overtime to pull Senator Sock Puppet’s chestnuts out of the fire. They’ve put out this spin about Kay Hagan being one of the most moderate voices in DC — because she only votes with Barry Obama 96 percent of the time.  Over at The N&O, John Drescher’s shih-tzu ran with that spin like it was a little rubber ball.

My, how times change.  In 2008, when state senator and Democrat US Senate nominee Kay Hagan was running against incumbent Republican Elizabeth Dole,  ol’ Kay had this to say:

Hillary Clinton will run on repealing Obamacare

I had trouble wrapping my head around this--but eventually, it made sense!  ~Lynn

Whatever the case, running on repealing ObamaCare is a win-win for Hillary

Canada Free Press
By Alan Joel, Monday, January 6, 2014

With all the talk abuzz about an inevitable Hillary Clinton candidacy, I wager that her platform will include repealing ObamaCare. Hillary will declare late in the spring so that she can positively impact the midterm elections to benefit the Democrats.

What would Hillary gain from a repeal-ObamaCare platform?

First, such a position would effectively neuter the Republican position of anyone running in 2014 (and beyond). All the hand-wringing and fundraising, all the sob-stories and alarm bells about ObamaCare would be utterly weakened if Hillary was out there saying the exact same thing. Any Republican candidate on the same policy page as Hillary Clinton would be disastrous for them. The Republicans are hoping for strong gains in 2014 — possibly even taking the Senate — and are banking on a fledgling ObamaCare to do it. This objecztive could not be achieved with Hillary added to the mix.

Second, a repeal-ObamaCare position from Hillary would give vulnerable Democrats a free pass to sever close ties and loyalty to Obama. Obama is toxic right now; his popularity is in the mid 30’s and his signature legislation is overwhelmingly disliked across the country. With Hillary jumping in, Democrats would be able to rally around a more popular and likeable Democrat (what Democrat doesn’t like the Clintons?) and distance themselves from Obama and ObamaCare without hurting the Democrat brand. In fact, she enhances it right now.

The Democrats Build A Defensive Bunker

Red Ink Flowing:

As is their standard practice, the Democrats have once again attempted to slide possibly volatile legislation out of view of the American public under the cover of legislative darkness: those times in which there is not much going on in Congress, late on Fridays of holiday weekends, and during major holiday periods of every sort.
The Democrats have long been masters of: How To Lie.
And the Democrats have long been Chess Masters while the Republicans are still struggling to master the finer points of checkers.
One recent and truly great example is a bill entitled: "A Bill To Abolish the Death Penalty Under Federal Law" aka: H.R. 3741, introduced by Maryland Democrat Rep. Donna Edwards and seven other Democrats, earlier this year.
Please allow me to place all my cards on the table: I fully support the Death Penalty.
What I find so outrageous about H.R. 3741 is that as is their way, the Democrats have wrapped what sounds high and mighty around a broken sewer pipe; not unlike the "Affordable Care Act" - that Abomination of Legislation that resulted in a massive lack of care which is not affordable by most folks.
I look at every piece of Democratic introduced legislation like five hundred year old serving of that great Chinese menue item: "Sticky Rice".

Do Democrat lawmakers anticipate treason trials?

Canada Free Press, December 21, 2013

According to a report by Breitbart’s Elizabeth Sheld, eight Democrat lawmakers have proposed a bill that would eliminate the death penalty as a consequence for individuals convicted of numerous federal crimes, among them espionage and treason. Nothing happens in Washington without a reason, so The Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act (HR 3741) gives rise to a bevy of questions and suspicions.

What motivation would congressional Democrats have for wishing to neutralize the death penalty option for such serious crimes? While the average news consumer is conditioned to summarily dismiss the machinations of government unless it directly impacts their pocketbook, or their sensibilities are deliberately targeted by the press, common sense dictates that elected officials proposing such a law could be anticipating the requisite conditions, thus necessitating the law in the first place.

So, who do these lawmakers suppose might be tried for treason, espionage, or the host of other federal crimes now punishable by death in the not-so-distant future?

Democrat Senator concedes Obama Lied about al-Qaeda

Even Democrats are not contesting that Barack Obama lied repeatedly about ObamaCare in order to get re-elected (they spin away from that issue as quickly and as abruptly as possible). Now, an extremely prominent Democratic Senator – Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) – seems to be conceding to another Obama lie, told in order to help him get… re-elected.
The 2012 Democratic National Convention took place from September 4th-6th. Five days after it ended, four Americans were murdered in Benghazi, in part, because of woefully inadequate security. The Obama administration lied for two weeks, saying the deaths were the result of a YouTube video. Something else happened at the Convention; we were told that al-Qaeda was “on the run”.
During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Feinstein, who also chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, told viewers that Americans are “not safer” than they were two years ago. Also, take note at the 1:00 mark, after Obama administration sycophant Candy Crowley is shocked to hear Feinstein say such things. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, agrees with Feinstein and says that:

Obama Flouts the Law

From his first presidential campaign to the present, the president, his party and his administration have openly flouted existing laws, and it doesn't seem there is any legal means of stopping him short of impeachment.
As you may recall, the Democrats refused to fill vacant spots on the Federal Election Commission so that when the Obama campaign disabled the system to track contributions there was no way in 2008 to challenge and stop the practice and countless suspicious contributions, including many from overseas, found their way into his coffers. This, after he reneged on his promise to use federal funds, a promise John McCain stupidly adhered to his disadvantage. Obama went back on his word and jimmied the system so his lawless behavior would succeed. Yes, years later, after he was elected, the FEC imposed a huge fine for this law breaking, but it really was too late to matter much.
This was prelude to years of simply flouting federal laws at will and demonstrating repeatedly his inability to handle the job.
His agenda is on the shoals:
"The left's agenda is in tatters. Obamacare has crashed on takeoff, after five years of Democratic policies the economy is in the doldrums and we are nearly $17 trillion in debt, and the Obama administration's foreign policy is in disarray. The Democratic Party, as represented by the press, desperately needs sideshows to 1) rally the party's faithful, and 2) distract the rest of us from the failures of the liberal agenda. Thus, I don't think it is a coincidence that liberals are doing their best to portray the summer of 2013 as more or less a replay of 1967. The silliness of the attempt is a measure of how out of ammo liberals are these days."
As the lawless scandals are exposed -- Benghazi, gunrunning in Mexico, misuse of the NSA, the IRS crippling the opposition in 2012 by illegal denials of tax exemptions -- the president and his allies have been fast and furious in ginning up his base by playing the race card so often it's worn to a mere stub.

How to Win, and Not to Win, in 2014

Lately there’s been a growing chorus of calls for the Tea Party and the Republican Party to unite and find a way of compromising over their differences in order to achieve their common goal of defeating Democrats.  This scares the heck out of me because many in the Tea Party may think it’s a good idea.

The Tea Party is NOT (yet?) formally a political party, but a group of people who
share certain ideas about political philosophy.  True, for various reasons they tend to support Republicans more often than Democrats, but the basis for their support of any candidate is the extent to which his INDIVIDUAL political ideas meld with THEIRS.

The party label is NEVER the essential point. It just HAPPENS to be Republican most of the time because INDIVIDUAL Republican candidates agree with the Tea Party’s ideas more often than individual Democrats or Independents do.  IE, the Tea Party is a movement based on a loyalty to PRINCIPLES, NOT to political parties.

“YOU come to US” is what the principled Tea Party says, “from ANY political party,” and “if you do share our IDEAS, then we’ll support you.”  The Tea Party is not “into” party loyalty.  What it is “into” is INTELLECTUAL, PHILOSOPHICAL, and MORAL & ETHICAL LOYALTY.

I responded to the latest organization which sent me an email pushing for the political compromise mentioned above.  A paraphrase of that response follows just below.  It provides the reasons whythis strategy is a great way for us NOT to win the political battle. Following it, I offer the positive side of the coin, a suggestion on how to win.

HOW NOT TO WIN

Here’s the essence of my response to those who advocate the Tea Party “compromise” with the Republican Party to “iron out their differences” and “find a way to unite” in achieving the defeat of Democrats:

“The RNC is loaded with Democrats in Republican clothing.  It makes no sense to unite against the content of a particular book with the authors of that very book simply because they’ve given it a different cover or a new title.

GOP, Democrats split on fate for parents of DREAMers | WashingtonExaminer.com

There is a growing number of Republicans who are willing to join Democrats to grant citizenship to children brought to the U.S. by illegal immigrants. But it became increasingly clear during a House subcommittee Tuesday that there remains a stark difference over extending that same privilege to the parents.

While no legislation was on the table yet, a House Judiciary subcommittee took up the underlying components of the KIDS Act, a Republican rewrite of the DREAM Act that addresses the children of undocumented workers living in the country. Republicans, some of whom previously opposed the Democratic DREAM Act, now insist children should be addressed separately than other illegal immigrants.
“We all view children as a special, protected class,” said subcommittee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. “Children and the issues that impact their lives unite us like nothing else. And because children are a special class, the law treats children differently in almost every regard.”
However, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, warned that providing citizenship to these individuals will lead to “back-door amnesty” for their parents.
“If you legalize people that are here in this country unlawfully and you waive the application — even if there were children — and you waive the application of the law on their parents especially — if they’re the ones that brought them to commit this act, then who do you enforce the law against?” King asked.
While King speaks as an staunch skeptic of immigration reform efforts, his concerns are echoed by many in the GOP. House Republicans don’t want to address all 11 million undocumented individuals as one group, but provide separate solutions and statuses for illegal immigrants that have reached the U.S. under different circumstances.

House passes 'No Budget, No Pay,' sends to the Senate

The House on Wednesday put new pressure on the Senate to pass its first budget in nearly four years, by approving a bill that threatens to withhold senators' pay until that work is done. The House approved the No Budget, No Pay Act in a 285-144 vote.

Among Republicans, 33 voted against it to protest the absence of specific spending cuts in a bill that essentially extends the debt ceiling. But they were more than offset by the 86 Democrats who voted for the measure. The bill suspends the debt ceiling until May 18, and requires each chamber to pass a budget by April 15 or have its members face a suspension of pay.

Republicans are hoping the bill gives Congress a few months to find a longer-term debt ceiling agreement that includes significant spending cuts.

Democrats Vote the Mentally Disabled

By David Horowitz

I am incredibly steamed this Thanksgiving Holiday over what the Democrats are doing to my country. Everybody by now knows – or should know – how readily Democrats conduct election fraud, and how determined they are to defend it. James O’Keefe and others have taken videos of paid Democratic operatives encouraging citizens to vote twice. O’Keefe was even able to claim Attorney General Eric Holder’s own ballot at a district polling place by claiming to be him, and then to vote in his place. Democrats have promoted Motor Voter laws and same day registration, and month-long election days to help them mobilize the votes of people who are so unconnected to the political process and so uninterested in the country’s future, and perhaps so incompetent to understand what voting entails that they require keepers to see that they get to the polls and then vote the “right” way.  In the election that put Al Franken in the Senate by a few hundred votes, more than a thousand felons voted illegally because of the loose laws that govern the polling booth – laws the Democrats want to make even looser. It is in fact the number one civil rights issue of the NAACP this year to give felons the right to vote. So we know that Democrats have little respect for the election process, and we should assume they will attempt to pursue their victories by any means necessary.

But even knowing this, I was not prepared for a conversation I had at Thanksgiving dinner today with my brother-in-law, Henry, who has lived most of his life in a home for the mentally disabled, and though now in his forties has the intelligence level of a six-year-old.

“Obama saved me,” he said to me out of the blue.

THE BLAZE: Why Did the Black Community Leave the GOP for the Democratic Party?

The Democratic Party has been stellar at spinning a revisionist history where the righteous among their ranks fought “tirelessly” to further the cause of Civil Rights, women’s rights – indeed human rights – throughout time immemorial.

In fairness, progressives have had one lynchpin to their argument: Then-President Lyndon B. Johnson did sign into law the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The fact that the crux of the bill was drafted and pushed through Congress by Republican Senator Everett Dirksen, and the fact that LBJ staunchly opposed the passing of Civil Rights legislation in the decades leading up to his presidency, bears little relevance on the left’s present-day narrative.

Likewise, the Ku Klux Klan – the disgraced racist organization to which even Democratic President Harry Truman belonged — was founded by Democrats and, in a sense, operated at one point as the de facto militant branch of the party.

Today, spurred by Republican lawmakers’ efforts to introduce voter ID laws in their respective states, cries of “Jim Crow” are routinely leveled against Republicans by their democratic counterparts and ideological foes. What is perhaps most ironic (and damning), however, is that de jure racism was in fact brought to bear by Democrats, who instated Jim Crow laws, poll taxes and even created the KKK in Southern States. Pastor C.L. Bryant, director of the documentary “Runaway Slave” spoke to TheBlaze extensively for the first installment of this report about the historical significance of Democrats’ past:

TPN—Judson Phillips: No Free Speech in Charlotte

As America waits for the gathering of losers that is referred to officially as the Democratic National Convention, some people are expressing concerns that the Constitution has effectively been repealed in the convention zone in Charlotte.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Starting Saturday, someone walking through Charlotte's central business district could run afoul of the law by carrying water bottles, hair spray, socks or magic markers under sweeping security rules enacted ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

It would take a particularly strict reading of the rules for someone to be arrested simply for possessing one of those items, but the possibility exists — which worries protesters and free speech advocates. They fear authorities could trample on people's constitutional rights in the name of protecting public safety.

The changes to city ordinances adopted earlier this year for "extraordinary events" ban a long list of actions and items that would otherwise be legal from a more than 100-square-block zone. The area includes spots as much as a mile from the sports venues where the Democratic Party events are to be held.

The new rules have already been used for events before the convention and will remain on the books after it's over.

The special rules that went into effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday could also bar anyone other than government employees from carrying handbags and backpacks or possessing soda cans, drink coolers, scarves, bike helmets, baby strollers or pets not specifically permitted as service animals.

A section banning "a container or object of sufficient weight to be used as a projectile" could be interpreted to include almost anything, from an apple to an iPhone.

Those caught violating any of these prohibitions could be subject to arrest and jail.

Similar prohibitions have been in place at past conventions, especially those following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Outside the Republican National Convention in 2004, New York City police carried out mass arrests, detaining hundreds of people for days in miserable conditions on a Hudson River pier. Most of those charges were later dropped or thrown out, triggering dozens of lawsuits against the city.

At the rain-soaked Republican Convention in Tampa earlier this week, officials banned umbrellas, baseballs and puppet-making materials. There, the rules went largely untested after only a fraction of the expected protesters showed up due to worries about Hurricane Isaac.

Charlotte's Uptown business district is home to the headquarters of Bank of America and substantial operations for Wells Fargo, two of the nation's largest financial institutions. The "March on Wall Street South" scheduled for Sunday is expected to draw thousands of protesters.

Members of Occupy Charlotte, who are helping to organize the march, said turnout for that and other protests could get a boost from demonstrators deterred from Tampa by the weather. At the other end of the political spectrum, tea party activists and other right wing groups are also planning protests.

The Democrats always claim to be champions of civil liberties until they become burdensome for the Party of Treason.

In case no one remembers, Charlotte is a part of the United States. We have a Constitution that guarantees freedom and liberty. While the Democrats prefer the police state, that is not America.

At this point, these rules are so draconian, I hope Charlotte is sued early and often. Perhaps if the city is bankrupted through civil rights lawsuits, no other city will be so anxious to try and act as if citizens do not have rights.

Obama’s Death Knell for the Elderly

Under Barack Obama, America is facing an explosion of the elderly poor. The facts are in, the strategy revealed. If Barack Obama and the Democrats win the upcoming election, an ugly era of population engineering, the steady elimination of our elderly through Obamacare will lead to a crisis in humanity.

In addition to Social Security, America’s retirees rely on varied combinations of their savings, investments, company pensions, and Medicare for their existence, all of which are targets of Obama’s war on the elderly.

During a 2008 televised political debate, candidate Barack Obama was asked were he to become President, where would he first cut spending. Obama stalled and stammered hoping the clock would run out so he could avoid answering. The debate moderator again demanded an answer. Seconds before the buzzer sounded, a reluctant Obama answered, “Medicare.” Sounding along with that buzzer was a death knell for American seniors. Obama had set his sights on America’s greatest generation and those following swiftly on their heels. At a 2010 House Retreat, when asked directly, Obama responded to now Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Paul Ryan, that his answer to fixing Medicare is Obamacare. During a CBS 60 Minutes interview, citing numbers from the Congressional Budget Office, Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney pointed out that Obama’s destruction of Medicare is well underway, “There’s only one president that I know of in history that robbed Medicare – [$741] billion to pay for a new risky program of his own that we call Obamacare.”

‘Real News From The Blaze’

‘Real News From The Blaze’ on Citizens United and Congressional Democrats Move to Amend The Constitution

Avoiding any serious votes with a 10ft pole before the election, Democrats in the House moved on political posturing and symbolic legislation this week, as Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi joined other congressional Democrats on Wednesday in endorsing a movement to ratify an amendment to the Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech when it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to individuals. The attempt to amend the Constitution is a response to the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in the Citizens United case, and is in line with putting the president’s agenda against his presumptive Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, who Democrats so enjoy criticizing for once saying “corporations are people, my friend.”

Perdue Aircraft Provider Seeks GOP Senate Seat

More than 90 percent of Ramsey’s campaign donations went to Democrats
(Get out and vote in the Primary, don't let the Democrat Party have 2 Candidates running in the general election. ~ Lynn)
Carolina Journal News Reports

Mar. 29th, 2012

Top photo from Ramsey's website; bottom photo by Don Carrington

Businessman Randy Ramsey (top) is running as a Republican. He has been a long-time Democratic donor and is connected to at least four campaign flights for Gov. Bev Perdue.

RALEIGH — Carteret County businessman Randy Ramsey, who has made substantial campaign contributions to Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue, former Democratic Gov. Mike Easley, and the N.C. Democratic Party, is running in a three-way Republican primary for the 2nd District state Senate seat.

Ramsey is the owner of Jarrett Bay Boatworks, a boat-building company located in Beaufort. He is a registered Republican, but his past support for Democrats, which includes air travel for Perdue and a $2,000 contribution to her campaign in July, has outraged several Republican Party activists.

Before this year, he has given $3,750 to Republican candidates, but more than 10 times that amount to Democratic campaigns and to the state Democratic Party.

Ramsey told Carolina Journal that he gave to Democrats from eastern North Carolina and thought they would help his part of the state, but that he has “been disappointed” in them.

Moreover, either Ramsey or Jarrett Bay is connected with at least four flights provided to the 2008 Perdue campaign, based on records from an investigation by the State Board of Elections. Ramsey says he recalls providing two of the flights, but the records — provided by the Perdue committee — are spotty and incomplete, making it difficult to connect payments with specific flights.

Two former Perdue fundraisers face felony charges related to unreported or improperly reported flights during Perdue’s campaign for governor.

Air travel for Perdue

Perdue was elected governor in November 2008. Investigations and news reports later would reveal that she made extensive use of private aircraft for campaign and official business without paying the owners. Perdue has attributed the initial nonpayments to sloppy work by her campaign staff. A Perdue spokeswoman characterized the free flying for official business as “gifts to the state.”

Through an investigation by the Board of Elections, the public eventually learned that Perdue’s campaign had accepted dozens of free flights. After a hearing in August 2010, the board fined the Perdue committee $30,000.

A spreadsheet listing Perdue’s air travel from 2001 through 2008 became public information during the election board’s August 2010 hearing. That document listed a total of 243 flights, but the details of many of the flights were missing.

The records appear complete for a Sept. 26, 2008, flight in a Beechcraft King Air provided by Crystal Aviation. May 11, 2009, the Perdue campaign committee sent Jarrett Bay Boatworks Inc. a check for $629.34, listing it as a debt payment for air travel related to that flight.

Crystal Aviation is involved in airplane leasing, according to corporation records from the N.C. Secretary of State’s office. Randy Ramsey of Jarrett Bay Boatworks was listed as a managing member in 2004 and as a member in other years.

A Carolina Journal review of Perdue’s campaign reports could not match reimbursements for three other flights involving Crystal Aviation:

• A Feb. 21, 2008, flight listed as New Bern/Charlotte/Chapel Hill/ New Bern was attributed to Crystal Aviation Partnership and Trawick “Buzzy” Stubbs. No cost or payment information was listed. CJ could find no record of payment to Stubbs, Crystal Aviation, Jarrett Bay, or Ramsey.

Stubbs, a longtime friend of Perdue and the law partner of Perdue’s late first husband, recently pleaded not guilty to two felony charges related to the governor’s campaign funding. Stubbs was identified in the Board of Elections’ report on Perdue’s campaign flights as an architect of an “aircraft provider” program, along with Peter Reichard, the campaign’s former finance director. Reichard took a felony Alford plea in February in the state probe of the governor’s campaign.

• A May 4, 2008, flight listed as Beaufort/New Bern/Chapel Hill/Beaufort/New Bern also was attributed to Crystal Aviation and Buddy Stallings. The cost column reads, “cost sheet not completed.” CJ could find no record of payment to Stubbs, Crystal Aviation, Jarrett Bay, or Ramsey.

• A March 8, 2007, flight listed as New Bern/Chapel Hill/Charlotte/Chapel Hill/New Bern was attributed to Crystal Aviation and Buzzy Stubbs. Notes indicate the trip was part official business and part campaign. The total cost was listed as $1,260.60. CJ could find no record of payment to Stubbs, Crystal Aviation, Jarrett Bay, or Ramsey.

Ramsey told CJ the Perdue committee reimbursed him for two flights, but he didn’t remember the details. When asked who asked him to make his aircraft available to Perdue, he said, “I don’t remember — don’t know who asked.”

NCSU board appointment

In June 2009, Perdue appointed Ramsey to the N.C. State University Board of Trustees. Ramsey filled the vacancy left by board chairman D. McQueen Campbell, who resigned at the request of UNC System President Erskine Bowles.

At the time, Campbell was the subject of news stories and investigations involving free campaign-related flights he had provided to Gov. Mike Easley, for his role in helping Mary Easley obtain a job at N.C. State, and for helping the Easleys purchase a lot in the Cannonsgate development in Carteret County.

In November 2010, Mike Easley entered an Alford plea to a felony charge of failure to report campaign expenditures. Under an Alford plea, a defendant does not admit guilt but acknowledges that the evidence against him may lead to conviction from a jury. Easley, the first North Carolina governor with a felony conviction, paid a $1,000 fine.

Party loyalty

The 2nd Senate District is made up of Carteret, Craven, and Pamlico Counties.

The other two candidates are current GOP state Rep. Norm Sanderson of Arapahoe and Pine Knoll Shores Mayor Ken Jones. Incumbent Republican Jean Preston decided not to seek another term.

Some local conservative and Republican activists can’t stomach Ramsey as a Republican candidate.

“Randy Ramsey has been a major player in liberal Democratic ‘pay-to-play’ politics and is not representative of the conservative values of the Tea Party, or what we expect of the Republican Party,” wrote Ken Lang of Stella on the Crystal Coast Tea Party’s website.

FL Dems Fly American Flag With Obama’s Face on It — Vets Outraged

An American flag featuring an image of President Barack Obama’s face was removed from outside a local Florida Democratic Party headquarters Tuesday after several veterans called it “despicable” and a “desecration,” the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Veterans gathered Tuesday afternoon to protest in front of the Lake County Democratic Party headquarters, where the flag — featuring Obama’s face in the blue section where the stars normally go — was flying beneath a traditional American flag. The confrontation ended after party chairwoman Nancy Hurlbert took the flag down, according to the Sentinel.

MESSAGE FROM TEA PARTY PATRIOTS

February 16, 2012

Deal or No Deal?

Dear Patriot,

Congress came to terms on a tentative deal last night, that if passed, will extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012. The big dilemma (surprise, surprise) was how to pay for it. President Obama and the Democrats wanted to raise taxes, the Republicans wanted to cut spending to offset the additional costs.

Consider this: extending the payroll tax cuts will deprive the Social Security account of $100 billion, which means that the already in-the-red Social Security fund will be driven further into debt. There are some really simple things that the President and Congress can do to replenish Social Security while at the same time extending the payroll tax cut, and none of them need to involve raising taxes on anybody!

Here’s a perfect example: Last spring the Government Accountability Office identified more than $100 billion that could be saved by eliminating duplicative programs!! Following the GAO’s recommendations alone would more than replenish Social Security while maintaining the payroll tax cut.

Instead, Congressional leaders came to terms on a deal that will extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012, but they have not defined clearly how they will pay for it. Is this simply more political posturing in an election year?

Call your Senators and Representative today and tell them to STOP committing our future to unfunded liabilities!

I'm Confused

I'm confused. In order to get on an airplane, open a bank account, withdraw money, cash checks, pick up movie or concert tickets, enter a Federal building, apply for Food Stamps, or buy alcohol or prescription drugs, you often need a photo ID.

Democrats charge that requiring photo IDs (to prevent voter fraud) is racist, and meant to simply disenfranchise voters and suppress minority voting. So, I wonder, how have minorities done the above-mentioned without IDs?

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has asked the United Nations to intervene to block state voter ID laws. The United Nations? In the United States? Wake up, America!

Freedom 21--Henry Lamb: Where is the Tea Party?

By Henry Lamb

Democrats rarely miss an opportunity to denounce the Tea Party, and are quick to announce that the Tea Party is over. Still in shock about the effectiveness of the Tea Party in its effort to take control of the House of Representatives from Nancy Pelosi, Democrats
are trying to convince themselves that the 2010 mid-term election was a fluke. They just can’t believe that the Tea Party could do it again in 2012.

Where is the Tea Party? It is not “occupying” public parks and leaving mountains of trash that must be cleaned up at public expense. The Tea Party is not “occupying” California ports, disrupting the flow of commerce by forcing working people to lose days of work. The Tea Party is not shutting down restaurants and blocking streets to congregate in tent-cities where drugs, sex, and filth identify the “occupiers.” The Tea Party is going about its business, organizing and learning to be even more effective in achieving its goals.

The Tea Party exists because ordinary people realized that government was out of control and Congress was unable or unwilling to fix the problem. The Tea Party exists to return the federal government to the limitations of the U.S. Constitution, to end the out-of-control deficit, and to force the government to work within a balanced budget.

Democrats consider these goals to be extreme.  Democrats go ballistic when Tea Party-supported Representatives refuse to rubber-stamp Barack Hussein Obama’s demand to spend money the nation doesn’t have - in order to reward his supporters in the green energy industry, or to expand largesse to the democratvoting, dependent segment of society who believes government owes them a living.

The Tea Party is maturing, evolving, coalescing with 9.12 groups and existing property rights, and tax-reform groups. The Tea Party is growing into a genuine Freedom Movement. Instead of “occupying” public space, Tea Parties, and the organizations with which they are coalescing, are holding weekly and monthly meetings to study issues at the local, state, and national levels.

They are learning about sustainable development, and Agenda 21. They are learning how the 17th Amendment removed the states from participation in the national government. They are learning why and how to repeal this amendment. They are learning how domestic policy is influenced by Global Governance. They are working with other organizations to learn how to influence state legislation. And they are holding conferences and seminars everywhere.

Yet despite full political power and despite the trillions of dollars thrown into the maw of the Obama/Reid/Pelosi vision of utopia, our nation is left with the nastiest of all financial hangovers as a result of queasy, Democrat-initiated, shameful indulgences. Of course too, the bills, some $16 trillion dollars of them, are coming due as well.
