I'm Confused
I'm confused. In order to get on an airplane, open a bank account, withdraw money, cash checks, pick up movie or concert tickets, enter a Federal building, apply for Food Stamps, or buy alcohol or prescription drugs, you often need a photo ID.
Democrats charge that requiring photo IDs (to prevent voter fraud) is racist, and meant to simply disenfranchise voters and suppress minority voting. So, I wonder, how have minorities done the above-mentioned without IDs?
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has asked the United Nations to intervene to block state voter ID laws. The United Nations? In the United States? Wake up, America!

The Tea Party – It’s Here to Stay

It is said that the Tea Party movement started with a rant by Rick Santelli, of CNBC, on the trading floor of CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) Group in Chicago on Feb. 19, 2009 but the real truth is that it started even before that.
Of course we all know that the Tea Party movement started many years ago, on December 16, 1773, with a simple act of civil disobedience in rejection of a small tax on tea – “a 3 pence.” On that evening, approximately 100 “radicals” from Boston, members of a secret organization of American Patriots called the Sons of Liberty, dressed up as Mohawk Indians, boarded three East India Company ships, and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. The Boston Tea Party would have as a direct consequence (albeit in 1775) the firing of the first shots of the Revolutionary War…. and soon, our independence from a tyrannical ruler.
Just as John Adams commented that the American (tax) revolution was in the hearts of the colonists even before a drop of blood was spilled at Lexington – “The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people, was the real American Revolution” – our current (conservative, tax/spend) revolution has been in the hearts and minds of ordinary hardworking folks even before Barack Obama took office.
Conservative voters were already questioning why banks were being bailed out (Bush signed a $700 billion plan to bail out banks), why were billions of their tax money being spent on government programs, and why were they willingly saddling their children with government debt.
Then when Obama was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009, he quickly appointed people (czars) like Larry Summer and Tim Geithner to his team who were all seen as people who were part of the problem. Stephanie Jasky, a paralegal from Detroit, Michigan, chatted: “We were hemorrhaging money. I was looking for answers – I wanted to know what had happened. The more I looked the more it became clear to me that the problem was our government, that the government had become the criminal.” Jasky was one of those citizens who took up the idea of sending her elected officials in the US Congress tea bags as a form of protest. She loved the idea. She bought a box of tea bags and sent one to every member of Congress. She said: “All these bailouts and stimulus packages, that was taking our money and spending it without our permission. Taxation without representation. We thought, didn’t that happen to us in the Revolutionary wars? Hello! Anyone remember King George?”
On February 15, 2009, Keli Carender, a blogger known as “Liberty Belle,” spread the word about a grass-roots protest she was organizing in Seattle to express outrage over the passage of the trillion-dollar stimulus/porkulus/Generational Act of 2009. She was enraged that such a bill passed Congress and especially without much discussion or opposition by Republicans. It was the first time she did any kind of political organizing. She was simply a conservative mother who blogged who never thought she would jump into any political arena. Amazingly, she turned around the event in a few days all on her own by reaching out on the Internet, to her local talk station, and to anyone who would listen.
Also in February, local radio host Leland Conway in Kentucky called on his listeners to send liberal NY Senator Chuck Schumer pork rinds. In response, a mountain of 1,500 bags poured into the station on February 16 and was shipped to Schumer. Conway idea was motivated by Schumer’s arrogant statement that only the “chattering classes” cared about the “teeny, tiny” pork amendments in the Generational Theft Act.
On February 18, 500 fed-up taxpayers showed up in Mesa, AZ to oppose President Obama’s plans to expand the government’s mortgage entitlement program. (Think about what happened with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac).
On February 19, ordinary citizen Amanda Grosserode e-mailed that she was organizing a tax revolt protest in Overland Park, KS the following weekend. More than 400 people showed up in freezing weather to protest Rep. Dennis Moore’s vote for the stimulus bill. And also on that same day, CNBC’s Rick Santelli issued his now-famous rant and plans for a Chicago “Tea Party,” prompted by Obama’s mortgage entitlement expansion plans. He accused the Obama administration of “promoting bad behavior” and subsidizing “losers’ mortgages.”
Santelli gave a voice and even a passion to what the Tea Party movement would become…. a frustration with government and its policies of entitlement and fiscal irresponsibility. Here are the words of that rant:
RICK SANTELLI: The government is promoting bad behavior….. You know, the new administration’s big on computers and technology… How about this, President and new administration? Why don’t you put up a website to have people vote on the Internet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the losers’ mortgages; or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give them to people that might have a chance to actually prosper down the road, and reward people that could carry the water instead of drink the water? This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor’s mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills? Raise your hand.
(Whistling, Cheering.People booing Obama)
SANTELLI: President Obama, are you listening?
RANDOM TRADER: How ’bout we all stop paying our mortgage?
SANTELLI: You know, Cuba used to have mansions and a relatively decent economy. They moved from the individual to the collective. Now, they’re driving ’54 Chevys, which is probably the last great car to come out of Detroit.
KERNEN: Hey Rick, how about the notion that you can go down to 2% on the mortgage…
SANTELLI: You could go down to -2%. And they can’t afford the house.
JOE KERNEN: So why are they in the house? Why are we trying to keep them in the house?
SANTELLI: We’re thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July. All you capitalists that want to show up to Lake Michigan, I’m gonna start organizing.
(Whistling, cheering)
WILBUR ROSS: Rick, I congratulate you on your new incarnation as a revolutionary leader.
SANTELLI: Somebody needs one. I’ll tell you what, if you read our Founding Fathers, people like Benjamin Franklin and Jefferson,… What we’re doing in this country now is making them roll over in their graves.
Perhaps Santelli was referring to a warning by James Madison: “The people of the U.S. owe their Independence and their liberty to the wisdom of descrying in the minute tax of 3 pence on tea, the magnitude of the evil comprised in the precedent. Let them exert the same wisdom, in watching against every evil lurking under plausible disguises, and growing up from small beginnings.” For too long, Americans have not been watching.
Within 10 days of Santelli’s rant, on February 27, the first Tea Party rally was held in Washington, Chicago and other cities across the US. The Tea Party movement and Tea Party phenomenon had been born.
Lest we forget what the Tea Party stands for and who itself makes up this informal group of grassroots “radicals,” consider how Mark Alexander summed it up in 2010: ” So, just what is the Tea Party? Let me first answer that question by describing who it is.
We are American Patriots, defenders of First Principles and Essential Liberty.
We are Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and public servants standing in harm’s way at home and around the world, who are loyal, first and foremost, to our revered oath to “support and defend” our Constitution.
We are grassroots leaders and local, state and national officeholders who, likewise, honor our sacred oath.
We are mothers, fathers and other family members nurturing the next generation of young Patriots. We are farmers, craftsmen, tradesmen and industrial producers. We are small business owners, service providers and professionals in medicine and law. We are employees and employers. We are in ministry at home and missionaries abroad. We are students and professors at colleges and universities, often standing alone for what is good and right.
We are consumers and taxpayers. We are voters.
We are Patriot sons and daughters from all walks of life, heirs to the blessings of Liberty bequeathed to us at great personal cost by our Patriot forebears, confirmed in the opinion that it is our duty to God and Country to extend that blessing to our posterity, and avowed upon our sacred honor to that end. We are vigilant, strong, prepared and faithful.

Second, in answer to the question, the Tea Party is not a political party, per se, organized around a national platform, rather a well-defined and uniform slate of principles on which they center their advocacy and support for political candidates.
Those principles include, first and foremost, advocating for Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free enterprise, national defense, and traditional American values.”
And the Tea Party is definitely here to stay.

NCFRW Present Voter ID Petitions--Support for Voter ID legislation
Republican Women deliver petitions to state legislators
GREENSBORO, NC: Members of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women (NCFRW) visited the General Assembly on February 1, 2011 to present party leaders with signatures from thousands of citizens across the state that support Voter ID legislation. "Republican women across the state have been working to raise awareness about the importance of this issue. Our petition urges the legislature to support legislation that will require voters of North Carolina to provide proof of eligibility before being allowed to cast a ballot in any election. We pledge our support and will now concentrate our efforts to help with the passage of the bill," said Dena Barnes, NCFRW President.
Representative Dale Folwell (R-Forsyth) and House Majority Leader Rep. Paul Stam (R-Wake) welcomed NCFRW and local club members to the petition presentation. Several Republican Representatives were attendance to express their appreciation and promised that this legislation will protect the integrity and reliability of the electoral process and prevent voter irregularities. There is discussion that the bill will be modeled after a law in Indiana, which the US Supreme Court has ruled is constitutional. Those present included Representatives George Cleveland, Larry Brown, Ruth Samuelson, Marilyn Avlia, John Faircloth, Mike Hager, Jonathan Jordan, Phil Shepard, Fred Steen II, Dan Ingle, William Current, Sr. and Bill McGee. Presenting the petitions on behalf of the NCFRW included NCFRW State President Dena Barnes, Grassroots Activism Chair Joyce Krawiec and Immediate Past President Valerie White.
Twenty-seven states now have broader voter identification requirements than what federal HAVA (Help America Vote Act)mandates. In these states, all voters are asked to show identification prior to voting. In no state is a voter turned away from the polls-all states have some type of recourse for voters, including casting provisional ballots.
"Surely, if we must provide ID to enter some federal buildings, board an airplane, get a hunting license, or even cash a check, we can ask our citizens to prove that they are qualified voters," says Joyce Kraweic, Grassroots Activisim Chair.

Herman Cain: Blacks Finally Hearing Truth on GOP

African-American voters are finally getting the facts about the Republican Party and beginning to turn away from their traditional pattern of voting for Democrats, Atlanta talk radio host Herman Cain tells Newsmax.TV. The former CEO said talk radio has been key to this transformation and that is why liberals are seeking to resurrect the Fairness Doctrine.
“I’ve had a lot of people tell me, and they would call my show and volunteer information as to the fact they were black, they were American and they were starting to see the light,” Cain said. “You see when people have the right information they will make the right decision. This is one of the reasons that the liberals continue to want to try to promote this unfair Fairness Doctrine.”
Cain, an African-American who recently formed a presidential campaign exploratory committee, said that liberals do not want blacks and minorities to know the truth about the Democratic Party or to know the truth about the Republican Party.

Talk show host Herman Cain, who is considering a run for president, reacts to the attacks on conservative talk hosts from the left in the wake of the Arizona shootings. He outlines his main issues if he does make a White House bid.
“Now that people are listening to talk radio and they’re getting the right facts about what the Republican Party stands for more and more people are beginning to vote Republican and align themselves with Republican values,” he said.
The Fairness Doctrine dates back to 1949 and required broadcasters to present a balanced view of both sides of a controversial issue. The Federal Communications Commission’s repeal of the doctrine in 1987 is often credited with the rise of talk radio. The Tucson shooting that killed six and wounded more than a dozen, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, coupled with the recent harsh political rhetoric, has sparked a renewed call for the doctrine’s reinstatement.
Cain, who went to Arizona to do broadcasts of his show, called claims that conservative talk radio somehow contributed to the tragedy silly and disrespectful.

African-American voters are finally getting the facts about the Republican Party and beginning to turn away from their traditional pattern of voting for Democrats, Atlanta talk radio host Herman Cain tells Newsmax.TV. The former CEO said talk radio has been key to this transformation and that is why liberals are seeking to resurrect the Fairness Doctrine.
“I’ve had a lot of people tell me, and they would call my show and volunteer information as to the fact they were black, they were American and they were starting to see the light,” Cain said. “You see when people have the right information they will make the right decision. This is one of the reasons that the liberals continue to want to try to promote this unfair Fairness Doctrine.”
Cain, an African-American who recently formed a presidential campaign exploratory committee, said that liberals do not want blacks and minorities to know the truth about the Democratic Party or to know the truth about the Republican Party.

Talk show host Herman Cain, who is considering a run for president, reacts to the attacks on conservative talk hosts from the left in the wake of the Arizona shootings. He outlines his main issues if he does make a White House bid.

The Fairness Doctrine dates back to 1949 and required broadcasters to present a balanced view of both sides of a controversial issue. The Federal Communications Commission’s repeal of the doctrine in 1987 is often credited with the rise of talk radio. The Tucson shooting that killed six and wounded more than a dozen, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, coupled with the recent harsh political rhetoric, has sparked a renewed call for the doctrine’s reinstatement.

Election Day fraud found all over U.S.
Complaints of illegal votes, bribes, ballot irregularities commonplace

During each election cycle, news stories emerge of voter irregularities and ballot malfunctions, prompting volunteer organizations to fight what they say is rampant fraud, while many authorities and other organizations dismiss the charges as unfounded.
2010 is proving no different.
An organization called Minnesota Majority, for example, claims it found hundreds of ineligible votes by convicted felons cast in the 2008 election, possibly turning the tide in the very narrowly decided election of Sen. Al Franken.
But Dan McGrath, executive director of TakeAction Minnesota, told the St. Paul Legal Ledger, "There is no evidence of any sort of systemic voter fraud in this state. … There's barely any evidence of voter fraud at all."
Now Minnesota is a hotbed of controversy again, as Fox News reports officials are investigating an allegation that mentally disabled voters in Crow Wing County were coached by their attendants to cast ballots for specific candidates. The charges say attendants even filled out the ballots themselves for people so incapacitated they may not have even been eligible to vote in the first place.
Other investigations from around the country have also arisen, including the following:
Kentucky's Lexington Herald-Reader reports state officials received over 100 calls to a voter fraud hotline from 46 counties by early this afternoon. The state's attorney general's office told the paper the calls ran the gamut – complaints about voting machines and election officials, electioneering, general election fraud, disrupting the polls and more. Four counties even had allegations of vote buying.
In the heated race in Nevada between Democratic Sen. Harry Reid and GOP challenger Sharron Angle, the Associated Press reports, Republican Party legal counsel has already filed a 44-page complaint alleging voter logs in a pair of counties showed the number of ballots cast was larger than the number of voters who signed the election registers. Furthermore, Angle's campaign has alleged Reid and Democratic union backers were illegally buying votes with free food and Starbucks gift cards in repeated e-mails to supporters.
Angle's lawyers have also filed a complaint with the Justice Department alleging casino executives sympathetic to Reid put pressure on union employees to vote, even telling bosses to "put a headlock" on supervisors to make sure their workers vote.
In Houston, Texas, a volunteer watchdog organization discovered evidence another organization had registered as many as 23,000 phony voter registrations in Harris County, including a woman who registered six times in the same day, registrations of non-citizens and 1,597 registrations that named the same person multiple times, often with different signatures.
In North Carolina, Washington's WITN-TV reports, a federal judge ordered written notices placed on voting machines after a string of complaints that voting machines were "flipping" straight-ticket Republican votes to straight-ticket Democrat votes was verified.
In Pennsylvania, letters from Bucks County Democratic Party falsely warned voters they may not be eligible to vote unless they sent their absentee ballot applications into a Party post office box, rather than county voter registration office.
Colorado's Greeley Gazette reports a Democratic Get Out The Vote volunteer offering to pay postage on people's absentee ballots, a violation of state law.
In Prairie du Chien, Wis., a man is charged with filling out multiple absentee ballots.
And as WND has reported, delays in overseas ballots for the military that resulted in thousands of soldiers' votes not counting in the 2008 election still haven't been fully fixed for 2010.

Thus far, America's two major political parties have taken different public stances on the voter fraud issue.
Democratic National Committee National Press Secretary Hari Sevugan told ABC News, "We have confidence that voters are going to be able to go to the polls and have their votes counted and we are working with partners and officials at all levels to ensure that's the case."
Republicans, however, told ABC News, "[Fraud is] a concern for us every cycle. It's a concern I think in particular this cycle because we have close races in states where historically we've had issues – Illinois, Pennsylvania and Washington State."

Federal Judge Rules in Favor of NC GOP in Touch-Screen Vote Flipping Complaint
Orders 'voter alert' posted at polls, programming materials, records retained...
North Carolina counties which use touch-screen voting systems will now have to post a "Voter Alert" at precincts warning voters about potential problems with the machines following a complaint [PDF] filed in federal court by the state's Republican Party on Friday. The lawsuit, heard today on an expedited basis, was filed after voters in several counties had reported to party officials that their attempts to vote for straight-ticket Republican ballots were flipping on the screen to straight-ticket Democratic ballots.
Those reports of vote-flipping led to the NC GOP issuing a threat late this week to sue the State Board of Elections (BoE) if their demands were not met to order certain precautions be taken at polling places which used the 100% unverifiable Direct Recording Electronic (DRE, usually touch-screen) voting systems. After the Executive Director for the BoE sent a letter in response to the GOP's demands, downplaying the reported incidents as "isolated" and "no different than ones that must be addressed in every election," the Republican complaint was filed in federal court on Friday afternoon. (The sharp letters back and forth between the state GOP and BoE can be read in our previous report on the NC situation.)
Judge Malcolm Howard tonight also ordered that pollworkers must tell voters to read the printed alert, and that memory cards and other programming materials, records and audit logs from the oft-failed ES&S iVotronic touch-screen DREs must be preserved for examination after the election. Late today, the BoE Executive Director Gary O. Bartlett sent a notice [PDF] to the County Boards of Elections detailing the changes ordered by the federal judge.
The "Voter Alert" to be posted in all precincts using the touch-screen voting systems must read as follows...

The remedies sought, and gained, by the Republicans, however, fail to address the fact that no matter how "carefully" a voter reviews their on-screen ballot to ensure their "vote is accurately cast", there is still no way to know that the voting system will record those votes as intended. Moreover, there is no way to know after the election whether the results actually reflect the will of the electorate, as we recently discussed in this article at Slate detailing some of the closest and most-watched races in the nation which will likely be determined on identical or similar 100% unverifiable DRE systems next Tuesday.
Removing systems from service once they are reported to be failing would be the safest way to deal with such problems, but long time North Carolina Election Integrity advocate Joyce McCloy, Director of NC Coalition for Verified Voting and editor of Voting News, explained to The BRAD BLOG tonight that many of the state's counties wouldn't have enough machines or back-up paper ballots to handle the election if failing machines were removed from service.
In past elections, most notably in both 2006 and 2008, it has been largely Democratic voters who have complained that their attempted touch-screen votes were seen flipping to Republican (or other party's) candidates. Little action was taken on their behalf by either elections officials or the Democratic Party. Many of those who complained were tarred as being being "conspiracy theorists" or "sore losers" by Republicans, and both elections officials and voting machine company representatives generally marginalized the complaints as either non-existent or "human error" on the part of the voter.
According to the NC GOP's attorney Tom Farr, similar arguments were made by the BoE in this morning's proceedings. "What I heard in the argument today was, the problem with the touchscreen voting machines are the fault of the voters, not the State Board and we have to preserve the integrity of the State Board and its reputation. And that's more important than making sure that voters had their ballots counted accurately, and that's what I thought was outrageous," Farr told the media after the court hearing.
Another report of votes flipping from Republican to the Green Party on a straight-ticket ballot, as caught on cellphone video, occurred last week in Texas (along with a report of another voter who saw his vote flip from Democratic to Republican in a different TX county.) In Nevada a Republican voter claimed her touch-screen vote was pre-selected on screen for Sen. Harry Reid in his tight race against Republican Sharron Angle. In both instances, local election officials downplayed the incidents by blaming the voters.
Such occurrences have marred virtually every election since the proliferation of unverifiable touch-screen voting was enabled by the federal Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002. While many jurisdictions have decertified the systems in favor of paper ballot-based optical-scan systems, some 20 to 30% of the nation's voters still use DREs at the polling place.
McCloy told The BRAD BLOG this evening that the state had been set to ban DRE systems all together some time ago, until the legislation was scotched after apparent lobbying by election officials in counties who use, and very much like, the systems. Afterwords, the legislation was reportedly modified to allow the touch-screen systems to stay in place.
ES&S voting systems have a storied history of failure. In 2006, the iVotronics were found to have inexplicably failed to record some 18,000 votes in a special election for the U.S. House in Florida (in which the Republican candidate was declared the "winner" by just 369 votes). That incident led to the state getting rid of virtually all of their touch-screen systems. ES&S iVotronics were also used at the polling place for South Carolina's primary where Alvin Greene, the unemployed South Carolina veteran who failed to campaign or even have a campaign web site, inexplicably defeated four-term state Senator and former Circuit Court Judge Vic Rawl for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination.
In Monroe County, Arkansas, in the days following their May 18th U.S. Senate primary this year, thousands of votes said to have been tallied on the night of the election promptly disappeared from the ES&S system in the days following it. Neither state nor local officials have been able to explain what happened or why.
In addition to North Carolina, ES&S iVotronic touch-screens are still used by voters in Arkansas, Washington D.C., Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. It's the Democrats' coping mechanism for midterm election voter fraud. Faced with multiple reports of early voting irregularities and election shenanigans across the country, left-wing groups are playing dumb, deaf and blind. Voter fraud? What voter fraud?
More cunningly, these organizations are seeking to marginalize complaints about election integrity by casting citizen watchdog efforts as racist "scare tactics." Echoing President Obama's message to the Democratic faithful on the campaign trail, they are accusing political opponents of suppressing the votes of minorities and the poor. On Tuesday, The New York Times quoted a liberal voting rights advocate, Wendy R. Weiser, wringing her hands over individual Americans taking clean elections seriously:
"Private efforts to police the polls create a real risk of vote suppression, regardless of their intent," said Weiser, director of the Voting Rights and Elections Project at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University. "People need to know that any form of discrimination, intimidation or challenge to voters without adequate basis is illegal or improper."
Weiser also turned up in a very similar story minimizing voter fraud and voter registration fraud that was published Tuesday by government-sponsored National Public Radio. The NPR report asserted that "most election experts" believe that fears of voter fraud are "overblown." No word on how many "experts" they surveyed (besides Weiser) to report such a conclusion, which flies in the face of dozens of felony voter fraud convictions across the country over the past two election cycles -- and that's just among ACORN-tied cases.

In North Carolina and Nevada, early voters have encountered ballot machine glitches that favor Democrats in hotly contested races.
In Troy, N.Y., and Daytona Beach, Fla., police investigations into suspected absentee ballot fraud by elected government officials are underway.
In Harris County, Texas, the voter registrar admitted that 20 percent of voter registration forms submitted by liberal activist Houston Votes had problems. Election whistleblowers there are now being investigated by the Obama Justice Department and have been slapped with an ethics complaint by the Texas Democratic Party and a left-wing billionaire George Soros-funded group called Texans for Public Justice.
In Yuma County, Ariz., election officials denied any fraud associated with thousands of requests for "permanent early voter list" status submitted en masse by open-borders group Mi Familia Vota (a social justice satellite group of the Service Employees International Union). But election officials admitted that some 6,000 out of 14,000 requests fielded by the Yuma County Recorder's Office "were reviewed and rejected, under Arizona law, either due to the fact the request was a duplicate or the requestor was not eligible to vote in this election or within the jurisdiction."
Liberals shrugged their shoulders at reports of illegal alien canvassers trolling for votes in Washington State. Never mind the radical goals spelled out by SEIU International Secretary-Treasurer and Mi Familia Vota founder Eliseo Medina, who views illegal alien amnesty as a powerful Democratic recruitment tool to capture millions of new progressive voters.

When I lauded efforts like the Minnesota Majority, which is training volunteers to watch polls and report on voter fraud, liberal critics accused me this week of "fascism."

Democrats haven't necessarily gotten the credit they're due for the work they've done the last two years, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said.Pelosi, in the middle of a tough campaign to defend Democrats' majority in the House — as well as her own Speakership — seemed to echo a complaint voiced by other Democrats, that obstacles have made it difficult for the party's message to get through."You have all those forces at work, pouring millions of millions of dollars into the media, and now into the campaigns to mischaracterize everything that we did," Pelosi said in an interview with Politics Daily, video of which was posted Monday. "So that's that. It's up to us to go out there. I'm very confident; our members know why they voted for what they did.

Political analysts Stu Rothenberg and Charlie Cook both peg the number of competitive House races at around 100. Separately, both analysts are also predicting Democrats will lose between 45 and 60 seats (39 are needed to switch control of the House). Striking back against the electorate’s small government fervor, AFL-CIO Political Director Karen Ackerman penned a strategy memo last week claiming “Union Voters are the firewall for candidates that support working families.”

A WISE LADY ADVISES US ABOUT VOTING AND FRAUD
Dear Friends and Patriots,
A friend who is a very faithful voter and Patriot just found in checking his voting history according to the Board of Elections that the records show he had voted early in the past election. He told me that he has NEVER voted early. He and his family have always gone together to the polls on Election Day. He remembers voting on election day (as he has always done in the past) and placed his ballot in the machine as he was leaving. As usual, the machine let him know what number he was in the polls.
My friend is naturally very upset and has called the Board of Elections and has requested a copy of both signatures. (The signature from the early voting and his signature on Election Day.) Obviously, there is something very WRONG here. Does this mean that his vote ALSO counted since the machine also accepted his ballot? We don’t know, but he is going to follow up. He is expecting the Board of Elections to give him feedback. My friend in speaking with two other gentlemen today found out that their information in the Board of Elections website was ALSO INCORRECT. IMAGINE THAT!
I spoke to another Patriot friend who is very active in getting the vote out. She happened to be speaking to an elderly lady on the phone and found out that this elderly lady had always voted in person. And yet, the computer showed that she had voted by absentee ballot in the past (I think she told me) four elections. NOW, how could this be? I encourage each one of you to take the time to search the records in the Board of Elections in your state (Hopefully, this should be available online. I am going to verify mine also.) If it is not correct take the time to call your BOE and request the same information. We have a right to find out what has happened in instances such as these. I think that if we voice our findings and have them provide us the information, they will wear themselves out and hopefully see how critical it is to make sure that the computer is checked BEFORE THE ELECTION in case it is taking TWO OR MORE votes for one name. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION AND NEEDS TO BE CHECKED. (Some of you have already found out that there were over 100,000 votes that were fraud in North Carolina in 2008, 8,000 were from Wake County. This is factual information that came from the BOE) Hopefully after the election we can pursue new legislation that will require proof of id.
Friends and Patriots, as you can see these are REAL people who are discovering a fraud situation with the election that has affected their vote. I am sure that we need to find out what happened to their vote when the ballot machine took in their ballot and gave them a number. Please KNOW that with the law that is in place that does not require voters to show their ID at the polls it gives an advantage to those that don’t mind voting EARLY and OFTEN.
PLEASE take VOTING EARLY VERY SERIOUSLY. KNOW that there ARE early voting places that will be starting as early as next week at the Board of Elections in your state and the following week at a polling place NEAR YOU. Please do your duty to VOTE EARLY to MAKE SURE YOUR VOTE COUNTS. In the meantime, my friend is going to pursue finding out WHY the ballot machine did not kick out the second vote. Please SHARE this information with everyone you know and take time to find out who your conservative judges are so that you know what the names of the judges are when you go and vote. They need our support. Voting a straight ticket DOES NOT INCLUDE THE JUDGES. They are non-partisan and they need your vote! Please do your part to make sure GOOD judges are elected.

Clarity on the facts and issues that matter to America’s future should be important to every informed voter. This time of dramatic change is ushering in a real choice in the November election. As you’ve noticed, “We the People” are creating havoc in the establishment of both parties. Candidates are surfacing who promise to do more than talk principles; they promise to govern that way. That gives American voters important choices.
Choice #1: Bigger Government or More Empowered Individuals. Do you want big government determining which special interests are rewarded and which companies are “too big to fail,” or do you want limited government where all people can pursue their dreams, succeed, fail and take personal responsibility for inventing their own future? America was built on individual responsibility, caring communities, and free-enterprise opportunity where you earned your own success. The current administration is trying to spend and regulate its way into a recovery and job growth. Since President Obama’s first month in office, the number of private-sector jobs has decreased by nearly 2.7 million, and the number of federal government workers has increased by 379,000. Choice #2: Government Entitlements or Individual Responsibility and Charity. Government entitlements are relatively new in America, not existing before 1929. If somebody fell on tough times, family, friends, and neighbors helped. Now, sixty percent of Americans get more in public services than they pay in taxes. That isn’t charity; that is government taking money from some citizens by force of law through taxation to provide benefits to other citizens. Since 1929, entitlement benefits have exploded: Social Security (1929), National School Lunch (1946), Medicaid/Medicare (1965), Food Stamps (1974), Home Energy Assistance (1981), Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (2003), Healthcare Plan (2010). No entitlement has cost less than projected. When government makes promises it can’t afford, it either increases taxes, prints more money funded by debt paid by future generations, or drastically cuts promised services. A government creating dependent citizens is no more caring than parents spoiling dependent teenagers. Such programs leave future generations buried under the weight of our government largesse. Entitlements account for more than half of federal spending, and unfunded liabilities, the obligations not covered by payroll taxes, exceed $100 trillion. Are we ready to stop digging the hole deeper?

Have you noticed that so-called “rich people who don’t pay their fair share” are being repeatedly tapped to pay the bill? Many economists are saying that the economy is poised to take off, but the private sector is lagging. Instead of rewarding such risk, the current administration is adding burdensome regulations, increasing taxes on their income, and making it hard for them to survive in today’s competitive global economy. Liberals claim that “the rich” do not pay their fair share of taxes. That is a convenient myth used to justify envy and income redistribution. The richest 5% of our citizens pay 60% of the total federal income tax bill. If you agree that these citizens are not paying their “fair share,” try paying their share and see how it feels.
Choice #4: “The Gingrich Boom” or “The Pelosi Collapse.” Mid-term elections matter. People talk about the “Clinton Boom” and the “Bush Collapse,” but Michael Medved points out that it’s more accurate to contrast two mid-term “triumphs” that strongly impacted the American economy. In “The Gingrich Boom,” ushered in by the 1994 conservative takeover of both houses of Congress, average unemployment went from 6.5% to an average of 4.77%. The federal deficit average went from 3.35% of GDP to an average of less than zero with surpluses from 1998 to 2001. With “The Pelosi Collapse” initiated with the Democratic takeover in 2006, average unemployment went from 5.29% to an average of 6.57%. It’s now 9.6%. Sadly, the federal deficit average went from 1.91% of GDP to 4.74% in the next two years. Now the deficit spending has reached 10.27%.
Had enough? Ready for a change? The choice voters made in 1994 made a difference. Be an informed voter and make your vote count this November.

Clarity on the facts and issues that matter to America’s future should be important to every informed voter. This time of dramatic change is ushering in a real choice in the November election. As you’ve noticed, “We the People” are creating havoc in the establishment of both parties. Candidates are surfacing who promise to do more than talk principles; they promise to govern that way. That gives American voters important choices.
Choice #1: Bigger Government or More Empowered Individuals. The New York Times is reporting that the Obama Democrats are weighing a bold new ad strategy for the crescendo of the fall campaign. I’ll let the Times describe it (for the record, the White House is denying this):
President Obama’s political advisers, looking for ways to help Democrats and alter the course of the midterm elections in the final weeks, are considering a range of ideas, including national advertisements, to cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists, people involved in the discussion said.
White House and Congressional Democratic strategists are trying to energize dispirited Democratic voters over the coming six weeks, in hopes of limiting the party’s losses and keeping control of the House and Senate. The strategists see openings to exploit after a string of Tea Party successes split Republicans in a number of states, culminating last week with developments that scrambled Senate races in Delaware and Alaska.
When I first read this, it all sounded familiar to me. It took all of 10 seconds to remember why. The Democrats tried this identical tactic last year, and it didn’t work for them (the fact that they did this last year is why I don’t buy their current denial).
Here’s what happened. After the 2009 August recess, the Democrats were reeling when townhall meeting after townhall meeting blew up in their faces. In Texas, for instance, Dem. Rep Lloyd Doggett got caught on camera running away from his constituents at a grocery store in Austin, after they started asking him tough questions about ObamaCare that he didn’t want to answer. I was working for the Republican Party in Texas at the time, and had more than a little fun with Doggett’s cut and run act.

PROJECT VOTE CREATES "VOTING FOR AMERICA" FRAUD
Obama’s Next Vote Fraud Drive?
The organization that brought Barack Obama to Chicago as a “community organizer” is ready to launch a new voter registration drive. Voters have reason for concern, since the organization often hires ACORN members to perform its registrations, its activities have been investigated by the FBI, and its board members include one of the originators of the Cloward-Piven strategy.
Voting For America, “an affiliate of the voting rights nonprofit Project Vote,” plans to “help” more than 50,000 students in seven states register to vote. The Sierra Club has contracted VFA to perform the drive on its behalf.
The states targeted are such battlegrounds as Ohio, Colorado, Nevada, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Oregon. Each state high-profile elections looming in November.
Executive director Michael Slater said Project Vote created VFA this year “as a means of making the systems, strategies, and tools we’ve developed available to other organizations.”
Share the stealth.
Among the “services” VFA “will contribute” are “legal services,” presumably when its registration cards are challenged in court. Their history assures they will be.
Voter Fraud
The FBI investigated Project Vote and ACORN as part of its inquiry into the massive registration of non-existent voters. Judicial Watch obtained handwritten notes FBI officers took during interviews with the staff. (The two work in close tandem.)
One interviewee told the FBI, “Project Vote will pay” six dollars per voting card, “fake or not.” Why would the group want fraudulent cards? Thankfully, the interrogators literally spelled their reasons out, in longhand (and I quote):
■To cause confusion on election day to keep polls open longer.
■To allow people who can’t vote to vote.
■To allow to vote multiple times.
According to an insider, the Democratic Party and Barack Obama colluded in the group’s efforts. Former Project Vote employee Anita Moncrief testified under oath that both the Democratic Party and the Obama campaign had furnished Project Vote with maxed-out donor lists, so they could fund its vote drives. It seems both organizations understood this as Democratic advocacy by other means. Upon the revelation, Project Vote sued Moncrief for $5 million, but its case was thrown out of court.
The Democrats had good reason to believe ACORN/Project Vote was doing partisan bidding. The head of Project Vote’s 2004 efforts in Florida noted in writing that all PV’s efforts aimed to “defeat George W. Bush and other Republicans by increasing Democrat turnout in a close election…and…catalyze the construction of permanent progressive political infrastructure that will help redirect Florida politics in a more progressive, Democratic direction.”
If any group should know how to build a permanent political army for the Left, it is Project Vote’s Board of Directors.
Board of Radicals
One of VFA’s directors is Frances Fox Piven. She is best known as the second half of the Cloward-Piven strategy, the effort to flood welfare rolls until the system collapsed — and a new, socialist future took its place . Project Vote and ACORN have adapted the strategy to the voting rolls, and not all its beneficiaries are eligible.
Other board members include:
■Craig Kaplan, counsel to the law firm of Rabinowitz, Boudin, Standard, Krinsky, & Lieberman. “Boudin” is Leonard B. Boudin, a Communist Party USA strategist who represented Daniel Ellsberg during The Pentagon Papers trial. His daughter, Kathy Boudin, served hard time for robbery and felony murder after she and other members of the Weather Underground knocked off a Brinks truck in 1981. The law firm acted as a Communist Party legal asset. It became the official legal representative of the Cuban government, defended Alger Hiss, and turned down the Rosenbergs over a scheduling conflict. Kaplan formerly served as counsel to the Voter Protection Project of America’s Families United. The Liberation News Service described it as one of “a host of advocacy and civil-rights groups, which often act in parallel with Democrats when it comes to expanding ballot access.” It added this “racial-justice advocacy group” had “set up a ‘voter protection project’ to ensure that its new registrants make it onto the rolls…Penda D. Hair, the project director, said her goal was to recruit 6,000 lawyers in 20 states who could challenge registrars when they reject applications improperly.” Kaplan was one.
■J. Philip Thompson, who wrote the book, Double Trouble: Black Mayors, Black Communities, and the Call for a Deep Democracy. It features an entire section on the use of the use of “patronage” as a tool of “mobilization.” Thompson noted “black mayors have sought to develop political capacity in poor black communities by supporting community and labor patronage…None of these organizations is strong enough individually to determine the outcome of an election, but together they may” (pp.67, 69). Lending credence to Moncrief’s claims, he added, “Officials can come to rely on non-profits to undertake voter registration” (p. 64). In his judgment, “centralized” government best concentrated such organizations’ power.
■Renee Brereton. After spending 19 years with the Alinskyite Catholic Campaign for Human Development, she became an organizer with the Gamaliel Foundation, a Soros-funded member of the Religious Left that promoted Open Borders and the Obama health care plan. Sociology Professor David Walls has written that the Gamaliel Foundation’s methods of organization were “indebted, in greater or lesser degree, to [Saul] Alinsky.” Founded in 1968 to assist Chicago’s impoverished black community, the Gamaliel Foundation became “reoriented to focus on community organizing” in 1986. Walls names it as one of three Alinsky-inspired organizations, “most of whose leaders got their start with” Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation.

Project Vote helped fuel the smashing electoral triumph of its most popular alumnus. Journalist Lynn Sweet noted “Project Vote/ACORN” targeted “states Obama needs to win” just before the 2008 election. Is this new effort the midterm version?
That’s the question voters — and law enforcement officials — should be asking themselves.

Tea Party Turning Into A Tidal Wave

The defeat of Alaska's Lisa Murkowski by a little-known conservative lawyer is the latest evidence of a tidal wave building that may sweep aside an out-of-touch establishment. "We the people" won't be ignored.
Shays' Rebellion, an uprising of 1,200 farmers led by one Daniel Shays, angry over conditions in Massachusetts in 1786, prompted Thomas Jefferson to write to James Madison that "a little rebellion now and then is a good thing" for America.
A more peaceful rebellion is now occurring across the country, and we believe it's a good thing for America. Considering the excesses of this administration and Congress and their abuse of power to the point of ignoring the Constitution itself, it's also a very necessary thing, an idea whose time has come.

The former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, who knows a little about shaking up the establishment, has become a political power, riding and leading a wave of political discontent with the country's current direction that manifested itself last Saturday at Glenn Beck's "Restore Honor" rally on the National Mall. Palin is woman, hear her roar.
Miller called for slashing federal spending while running for office in a state where federal money plays a huge role in driving the economy. As has happened around the country, the people are telling their government: Don't help us anymore; we can't afford it.
Murkowski was seen by the Tea Party Express as being on the side of big government. Miller targeted her for her support of the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP), a vote Murkowski said she came to regret.
Certainly energy-rich Alaska has fallen victim to the administration's war on fossil fuels. Vast oil reserves remain locked up in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, though a tiny portion only the size of Reagan National Airport in Washington would need to be developed. Murkowski was the most senior Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, but it didn't seem to help.
Offshore reserves in the Chukchi Sea have similarly been placed off-limits in the name of protecting a polar bear population that is thriving and not endangered. Miller has said he would work to get more federal lands into state hands where it can be developed. Saving the earth can wait; saving our jobs comes first.
Murkowski was a state legislator when she was appointed by her father, Frank Murkowski, in 2002 to the Senate seat he was giving up to become governor. Miller and the Tea Party Express called the Murkowskis a royal dynasty that had to go.
Voters have had enough with political dynasties and virtual lifetime tenure for incumbents, and Alaskans decided there was no more a "Murkowski seat" than there was a "Kennedy seat" in Massachusetts, where Scott Brown produced a similar upset.
America was born through a popular uprising that didn't like taxation without representation. It may be reborn from an aroused people unhappy with both their taxation and their representation.

The defeat of Alaska's Lisa Murkowski by a little-known conservative lawyer is the latest evidence of a tidal wave building that may sweep aside an out-of-touch establishment. "We the people" won't be ignored.
Shays' Rebellion, an uprising of 1,200 farmers led by one Daniel Shays, angry over conditions in Massachusetts in 1786, prompted Thomas Jefferson to write to James Madison that "a little rebellion now and then is a good thing" for America.
A more peaceful rebellion is now occurring across the country, and we believe it's a good thing for America. Considering the excesses of this administration and Congress and their abuse of power to the point of ignoring the Constitution itself, it's also a very necessary thing, an idea whose time has come.

Voter Fraud and Craven County, NC
CCTA Member Hal James sent the following letter to all the Craven County Board of Commissioners:

Dear Sirs and Madam:
I write to you because I have deep concern about the integrity of our vote in Craven County.
The News & Observer carried articles on August 5th and August 7th written by Benjamin Niolet and Michael Biesecker about cozy and questionable dealings among State Board of Elections Chairman Larry Leake, Director Gary Bartlett, Governor Beverly Perdue, Election Systems & Software (the company that sells and maintains all the voting machines in North Carolina), Printelect (the company that prints ballots for all but four of North Carolina's counties), and its owner, Owen Andrews. The stories mentioned large ($50,000 from Andrews and his wife) contributions to Governor Perdue's campaign (half) and to the Democratic Party, lavish parties, boat rides, and fishing trips for Elections officials, Printelect's ballots costing as much as double (30 cents to 33 cents per ballot vs. 13 cents to 19 cents per ballot) what the four counties who use other printers pay are all in the mix of this unfolding drama.
Printelect’s Owen Andrews says they charge so much for ballots because Elections Systems & Software (ES&S) requires them to buy paper stock from ES&S on which to print the ballots and requires them to pay ES&S a royalty on all the ballots printed. How did ES&S get that much power?
After reading the articles in The News & Observer and another that came out in the Sun Journal yesterday and thinking about what I had read, I concluded that it’s probable that only the tip of the iceberg has been exposed so far.
Election Systems & Software handles all our voting machines. Do they count the votes, too? What if an election is close and a recount is done, does ES&S handle the recount? Are there computer literate representatives of both parties present and cognizant of the process? Or does the possibility of our vote's being tampered with exist? My guess is it does. In fact, if I were a betting man, I’d bet that close elections have been routinely “tipped” to the party in power since ES&S came on the scene.
What I am sure of is that we are being charged too much for our ballots in Craven County. Having specifications for paper and printing that make them compatible with our voting machines is one thing. Forcing a printer to buy paper from and pay a royalty to ES&S is unacceptable.
I respectfully request that you do two things.
First, that you request the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to discover how deep the improprieties go and whether we have been victims of voter fraud.
Second, that you request generic specifications from ES&S and put our ballot printing up for competitive bids.
