RedState: Insanity--The Republican Party has gone insane

December 19, 2011

The Republican Party has gone insane.

For the better part of the last three years the Republican Party has exercised itself into a frenzy over the need to repeal Obamacare. For the two years leading up to November of 2010, mostly middle aged working white people took to the streets in sizes rivaling a NASCAR race to protest the socialization of the American health care system.

The individual mandate and TARP draw the ire of scores of primary voters.

And our two front runners for President? They both support an individual mandate and they both supported TARP. Not only that, just last year Mitt Romney was saying he’d keep parts of Obamacare. Like supporting amnesty, he has changed his position just in time for an election cycle. Are we really going to do this? I just want everyone to make sure they understand this and remind them that Perry, Bachmann, Huntsman, and yes, even Rick Santorum are still in the race.

An important call to action!

From and Eastern North Carolina Patriot--

This alert is going to be a judgment call on your part. You can choose to act or leave it alone, that is for you to decide. I do think the time has come for us to tell our representatives what we want and expect them to do and not just leave these direly important issues for them to get around to of their on volition.

It appears to me that our elected representatives have once again failed us on the continuing resolution they passed for the 2011 budget. The republicans don’t seem to have the backbone to stand-up to the democrats and fight it out for us. We hear the same old song and dance about being afraid to shut down the government because they will be blamed. That they are trying to stay above the fray and reach across the aisle to show they are nice guys and trying to work with the democrats and be liked. The democrats showed no similar tendencies when they were in control and rammed as much of their liberal, socialist, progressive agenda down our throats as they could. They locked the republicans out of meetings, made numerous backroom deals and did not allow them (and by extension us) to actively participate in the legislative process to accomplish their goals. They told you they won and get over it; in fact you can come along just sit in the back of the bus!

News flash for republicans; the democrats don’t like you and never will.  They will only use you for their own ends. They are playing you for fools and you represent us (we the people) and we are not fools. They passed laws they did not even read! Do you forget how weak you looked…..we don’t.

It is widely acknowledged that in the past November elections that the Tea Party was a major influence in the outcome that put the republicans back in power. We the people voted you in and we will just as easily vote you out and replace you with representatives who really believe in upholding our constitution. You need to understand that the Tea Party is not about republicans. You do not have a lock on our votes. You can not marginalize or co-op our vote. If republicans and democrats want to continue the reckless and irresponsible spend and taxing spree we will replace you…..end of story. Under our constitution you work for us and you need to represent us or we will find good honest people who will.

Your voting records are being watched and recorded for reference in the next election. In the past we the people have voted their representatives in and then left you to do the job of representing us…..not any more! Washington insiders (elected officials and bureaucrats) have awoken the proverbial sleeping giant. You blew it and we are taking our beloved republic back. Try to minimize us or dismiss us at your own peril. We don’t want appeasement or watered down legislation for the sake of reaching across the isle.

Let me make this abundantly clear…..THE TIME TO FIGHT IS NOW!!!.....YOU ALREADY HAVE THE POWER!!! In our Constitution (written by much smarter men than anyone in DC today) Article 1 Section 7 states “All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”

This means that you can stop everything the President and Senate are trying to do because you hold the purse strings NOW. We want action NOW, not in 10 years time with the potential 2 new presidents and 5 turnovers in the make up of the House of Representatives will present and change if they want to. A perfect case in point is the border fence along our countries southern border. This legislation was voted on and signed into law. The money was appropriated for it yet it was defunded and stopped by a subsequent house make-up vote while illegal's and terrorists flood over our border. This is something the American people wanted yet the elitists in DC basically told us to shut up and leave it to them to decide because we are too stupid to understand and they know better than we do what needs to be done.

We do not want the debt ceiling raised! Learn to live within your means and stop spending money you don’t have. We have to do this as responsible citizens and so do you as stewards of our tax dollars. We do not want any new taxes, we are taxed enough already! All of your tax hikes have still resulted in our country being piled under a mountain of debt that will be left to our children and grandchildren to pay for. Talk about taxation without representation! We want a balanced budget in 2012 not in 10 years. Stop all foreign aid now!

We are borrowing money to give to other countries, most of whom don’t like us (except our money) anyway. I ask you how stupid is that?

Actually I’ll tell you just to make sure you get the right answer…..very stupid.

America was and is based on Jewish-Christian principles regardless of what our supposed scholarly constitutional law president says (you know the one who was tired because he had been to 57 states
campaigning). America has been the most generous country the world has ever know in terms of monetary aid, spilt blood and sacrificed lives for the cause of freedom around the world. We have nothing to

apologize for, but in fact should be commended for our actions. But we don’t even ask for that because it has been something that we freely give to the world from our hearts, for the hope that all people can live free without tyranny.

We need to get our own financial house in order first since we now find ourselves in such disarray and then we can help others once again. Let the oil rich Arabs or the Chinese pay the way for the world for awhile as we restore our own financial stability. Of course if we (the American people) want to donate out of our own financial resources to help that is fine. Just don’t use our tax money abroad when we need it here now.

We do not expect you to be weak-kneed with getting our country back on track. Defund all the presidents’ czars and special interest programs he has created NOW. You have the power of the constitution behind you NOW. Let the president and the senate cause the government to shut down. We the people are not stupid and know it will be their fault regardless of how they or the lame stream media will try and spin it. The fact will still remain that it will be their fault.

Defend yourselves and by extension we the people by pointing out that it is their fault at press conferences and town hall meetings. Keep hammering these points home to the American people every chance you get. As Winston Churchill said; “Never give up, never, never, never give up.”

Do not touch social security at all!!! Why is it that big corporations, banks, insurance companies, mortgage companies and unions can get bailed out with trillions of our tax dollars (which we had to borrow) through stimulus bills, TARP programs etc, yet the first thing you bring up when you say we have to sacrifice and tighten our belts is social security? You used our tax dollars to bail them out, but you can not bail out (in reality pay back) the social security system you have plundered since its inception that was for the American people’s sake?

The fact is that both parties have been raiding the money in the social security program since its inception and replaced it with worthless IOU’s for various “feel good” social programs that the Constitution does not give them the authority to do and the founding fathers never intended. This money was supposed to have been invested where it would compound and earn interest so as to be there when we retired. Both parties have been stealing our money over the years which we had to pay out of each paycheck. Now the day of reckoning is upon us and you can not pay back the IOU’s, and you think we have to bear the burden for you stealing and ineptitude? Do you really wonder why the polls show such a low public approval rating for your job performance? If the money was just a free handout from the government I could see it, but it is not, it is our money you were supposed to invest for us but instead you have been misappropriating it for years.

I will be eagerly waiting for your answers and explanations for the above questions. And please don’t send me some form response thanking me for my input. I want your responses to the above points. Last Novembers elections will be nothing compared to the house cleaning that will take place in 2012.

ACTION:  Send this letter to you elected representatives (house and senate).  Feel free to copy and paste, add or delete parts or write your own letter, whatever is easier for you.  Congress is still on Easter Break so this needs to be sent on April 29th and might I suggest everyday there after until they vote on the debt ceiling issue and the budget for 2012. We have to flood them so that they are inconvenienced and know that we are serious.

From Tea Party Nation "Moment of Clarity"

Self-Inflicted

Posted by Tim Nerenz on November 4, 2010

No, my dear Democrat friends, it wasn’t secret money from overseas, or the media failure to explain health care, or talk radio hosts, or Fox News, or the racist tea parties, or Americans for Prosperity that cost you the election today – you did this to yourselves.

It started with the TARP bank bailouts; the American people were 8:1 opposed and you passed it anyway – twice. Then the stimulus; overwhelmingly opposed but you passed that, too. Then you hosed the bond-holders and gave GM and Chrysler to the unions – they took our $50 billion and went bankrupt anyway. Don’t forget foreclosure relief that let people default twice on our nickel – it was the bankruptcy attorneys that loved you for that one, not us.

And then there was health care; you had three chances to bail out with dignity but you rammed it down our throats instead. You threatened to "deem it" if you couldn’t get the votes, even though two thirds of the American people were against your bill – a bill so ridiculous you had to pass it to learn what was in it. Just to rub it in, you nationalized student loans in an 11th hour amendment.

Next came the BP oil spill; three months of looking around for an ass to kick but having no trouble finding the right one to kiss – preventing foreign assistance to please your union masters again. And then there was the bailout of the teachers’ unions – overriding every single school board and state department of education in the nation who had not seen fit to raise compensation in a fiscal crisis.

Should I go on? Cap and Trade, Cash-4-Clunkers, the President’s 60 rounds of golf, Michelle’s Spanish vacation, your two any-gal-will-do Supreme Court appointments, tanking the Fed audit, suing Arizona, ACORN’s hidden camera fiasco, letting the Black Panthers walk, re-appointing Ben Bernanke, and the internet kill switch.

You adjourned your session, allowing the largest tax increase in the history of the world to take effect without the courtesy of a vote. You failed to adjust the AMT in your haste to hit the campaign trail. You offered a $250 check to seniors after you gutted their Medicare and hit them with a 55% inheritance tax – as if you could bribe the Greatest Generation anyway.

Your economic plan was worse than nothing. 15 million Americans are out of work, 9 million more are underemployed, and another 1.2 million have quit looking altogether. Home values are falling, the dollar is falling, real GDP is falling; the only thing going up is gold, unless you count the national debt and the number of troops you keep sending to a war you don’t know how to win.

You called us racist. You called us dumb. You called us enemies, hicks, astro-turf, the great unwashed. You made fun of our reverence for the Constitution and our commitment to our faiths. You don’t like our guns, our trucks, our groceries, our hobbies, our rallies, our Facebook Pages, or our women who think for themselves - witches, bitches, and whores, you called them. You hate it when we prosper, and you hate us when we speak our minds.

How could you possibly expect that we would vote for you after all that? No, seriously – did you really think we would reward you at the polls? Did you?

Your wounds are all self-inflicted. You turned the Democratic Party of JFK into the Social Democrat Party of Dean, Pelosi, Obama, Frank, Klugman, and ACORN. You turned government into an ultimatum and we picked "or else". You tried to make America into France, so we said, "au revoir". You thought your ends justified your means, so we introduced you to our ends. That’s what happened today - it wasn’t done to you by anyone else, you did it to yourselves.

The coalition of conservatives, libertarians, constitutionalists, and independents that purged unprincipled Republicans in the primaries and cleansed the Congress today will not go lay by our dish just because Nancy Pelosi has been dethroned. Our mission did not end yesterday, it has only begun.

So my advice to all of the new Republican members of the next Congress is this: don’t sign a three year lease on that townhouse in Georgetown. Do what we sent you to do and you will be re-elected; if not, then you will be tossed onto the gut-pile of phonies who say one thing to get our vote and then do another once they are in Washington.

You guys work for us, not the other way around. We fired the Republicans in 2006; they brought it on themselves. And we fired the Democrats today; they brought it on themselves. Here’s a tip: if you want to avoid being on the receiving end in 2012, try being a little nicer to the boss.

You have four jobs to do: revive the economy, revive the economy, revive the economy, and revive the economy.

You have just seen four years of what not to do from Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, Ben Bernanke, and President Obama. If they passed it, repeal it; if they raised it, cut it; if they banned it, liberate it; if they were for it, don’t do it; if they were against it, then let ‘er rip.

Yes, it is that easy. We did our part, now go do yours.

Small biz, banks may spurn Obama's $30B program

President Barack Obama's $30 billion small community business lending program faces one big challenge: many of the community banks and businesses it's supposed to help don't want it.

Sep 24, 11:05 PM (ET)

By PALLAVI GOGOI

NEW YORK (AP) - President Barack Obama's $30 billion small community business lending program faces one big challenge: many of the community banks and businesses it's supposed to help don't want it.

The lending program is part of a bill that passed the House of Representatives on Thursday and now awaits the president's signature. The legislation contains a mix of tax cuts and credits aimed at helping small businesses. The centerpiece of the bill is an effort to make billions of dollars available to community banks for loans to small businesses.

It seems like a simple effort to unclog a credit pipeline that has been blocked since the financial meltdown two years ago. But interviews with seven community bankers, as well as small business owners, show a reluctance to participate.

"People in my constituency can't get credit, and this will get money out to small businesses, who are the engine of job creation for this country," said Republican Sen. George LeMieux of Florida, who co-authored the amendment that created the lending program.

Bank executives say their customers don't want loans, even at low interest rates, because the sluggish economy has chilled expansion plans. Some say the federal money isn't worth it because they fear it will come with too much regulatory oversight.

"We have taken a strategic decision not to have our primary regulator, the government, also be a partner in our bank," said William Chase Jr., CEO of Triumph Bank in Memphis.

Chase said the bank already has enough capital to meet the paltry demand for loans. "Our business customers are mired in uncertainty and are reluctant to invest in their businesses," Chase said.

Ninety-one percent of small business owners surveyed in August by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) said all their credit needs were met. Only 4 percent cited a lack of financing as their top business problem. Plans for capital spending were at a 35-year low.

Jack Rajala just laughs when asked if he wants to take out a loan today. He's in a fight to save his family's lumber business that has been buffeted by the recession and housing meltdown.

"I've seen many ups and downs; this is unquestionably the toughest," said the 71-year-old Rajala, the third-generation owner of Rajala Companies of Deer River, Minn. Since 2008, his company closed two factories and halved the number of employees to less than 100 as orders plummeted for windows, floors and door frames. Annual revenue is down 50 percent since 2008 to $5 million, and the company is losing money.

Rajala is symbolic of the challenges faced by Obama's small business lending initiative. The $30 billion fund will be run by the Treasury Department, and money will be awarded to banks deemed strong by regulators. Banks that have less than $10 billion in assets are eligible.

"It will provide incentives to invest and create jobs for 4 million small businesses," Obama said at a news conference Sept. 10. "It will more than double the amount some small business owners can borrow to grow their companies."

Obama has to bridge the gulf between money that's available and the needs of businesses. The NFIB survey found businesses don't intend to borrow until they have more customers.

Community banks will have to pay an annual dividend of 5 percent to the U.S. Treasury. However, when banks increase their lending to small businesses, their dividend rate declines on a sliding scale. So, if a bank increases its small-business lending portfolio by 2.5 percent, the dividend payment goes down to 4 percent and so on, said Paul Merski, chief economist at the Independent Community Bankers of America, the lobbying group for small banks.

The dividend payment increases to 7 percent if banks don't lend to small businesses.

"The crucial questions facing business owners are does it make sense to make an investment right now, and will it generate positive returns?" Josh Lerner, professor of finance and entrepreneurial management at Harvard Business School.

Noah Wilcox, CEO of Grand Rapids State Bank, with two branches in Minnesota, said he already has more capital at his $250 million bank than he can lend out.

"Many of our clients, business owners, put their projects on ice in 2008 because their job number one is to see their company through to the other side of this economic crisis," said Wilcox.

And then there's concerns that the government money will have strings attached.

The fears stem from what happened under TARP, the Troubled Asset Relief Fund, formed at the height of the financial meltdown to pump money into banks. Banks that accepted TARP money had to later cut dividends to shareholders and limit compensation to top executives. They were also penalized for early repayment.

In this new legislation, the government is taking steps to avoid the tarnish that accompanied TARP. The key part of this effort: Banks can return the money without penalty if rules governing the small business loans change.

But Chase, the bank CEO in Memphis, isn't convinced.

"The rules can be changed any time," said Chase.

It’s the Spending, Stupid

September 24, 2010 by Chip Wood

(NOTE:  Congress has now put off acting on renewing the Bush tax cuts until after the election, in an effort to get re-elected first, then rest assured they will put the screws to us!  PLEASE SUPPORT CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES NOW--AND GET OUT AND VOTE NOVEMBER 2nd!~Lynn)
Now there’s a message I hope you’ll see and hear a lot between now and election day — on bumper stickers on the backs of cars, in email messages and letters to the editor, on radio talk shows and a hundred other places; including in front of every polling place in the country, if that were allowed.
Please do your share to pass it around — including sending this column to a few dozen friends and family members who should read it. I wish I could take credit for the slogan — an obvious twist on the James Carville/Bill Clinton message two decades ago — but I can’t. It was the headline in a Daniel Henninger column last week in The Wall Street Journal.

Henninger began by quoting the president at a town-hall meeting in Fairfax, Va., where our Obfuscator in Chief attempted to explain the election victories of various Tea Party candidates.

“They saw the Recovery Act. They saw TARP. They saw the auto bailout. And they look at these and think, ‘God, all these huge numbers adding up.’ So they’re right to be concerned about that.”

Right. You feel our pain. I think we’ve heard that before.

Of course, the president could also have mentioned new deficits of more than a trillion dollars a year, two $3-trillion budgets since he took office, and a trillion-dollar healthcare entitlement shoved down our throats. Voters aren’t just “concerned,” Mr. President. Many of them have had it up to here with bloated, wasteful government spending. They are, to quote a wonderful old movie, mad as h**l and they’re not going to take it anymore.

If you consider yourself one of the “they” referred to above, you can take heart from the latest poll results. Last week the Rasmussen poll queried potential voters. Nearly seven out of 10 — an outstanding 68 percent of the total — said they want smaller government and lower taxes, even if that comes at the cost of fewer services.

The number was highest, of course, among people who identified themselves as Republicans, with 88 percent saying they wanted spending reduced. Democrats scored the lowest, but a still impressive 44 percent in favor of cuts. And where did the independents fall? Some 74 percent joined the anti-spending crowd.

My liberal friends, you’ve got trouble. Big trouble. And not just in River City. I’m not sure there’s a lie big enough, or a smear nasty enough, to keep you from getting your heads handed to you this fall.

f I were running against an incumbent, one of the first questions I would ask is, where were you when the tax cuts expired? And why did you do nothing to preserve them?

In case you’ve missed all the hullabaloo, here’s what’s happening… or, to be accurate, not happening.

Back in 2001, blessed by a healthy Republican majority in the House and Senate, George Bush persuaded Congress to approve some of the largest tax cuts in our country’s history. The Democrats couldn’t stop the legislation, but they very cleverly exacted a condition: The tax cuts would expire on Dec. 31, 2010, unless Congress extended them.

We’re getting awfully close to the witching hour and thus far, Congress hasn’t done a thing… except expend a lot of hot air. If Congress does nothing over the next three months — and usually, I’ve got to admit, that’s exactly what I wish the esteemed men and women who represent us would do — you and every other taxpayer in this country will see a lot more money taken from your pocket next year and given to Uncle Sam.

In fact, it will amount to the largest tax increase in U.S. history. And it will impact almost every taxpayer in the country. The front-page story in my local paper said it all: “Unless Congress acts, almost all earning levels will be paying more — from the wealthy to the working poor.”

And please don’t let anyone sucker you into believing that what’s at stake here are “tax breaks for the wealthy.” That is a bunch of hokum. Listen to this: “A typical family of four with a household income of $50,000 a year would have to pay $2,900 more in taxes in 2011, according to a new analysis by Deloitte Tax LLP, a tax-consulting firm,” according to a story by The Associated Press.

But if you do make more than Obama’s $250,000 threshold, get ready to be really hammered. Starting on Jan. 1, 2011, the top marginal income-tax rate is set to increase to 39.6 percent from 35 percent. The phase-out of itemized deductions will raise that rate to 40.8 percent. Now that Obamacare has passed there will also be a 3.8 percent healthcare tax, starting in 2013. So the total Federal tax rate for our highest earners will be 44.6 percent.

But, in fact, it will be even higher. When the Bush tax cuts expire, taxes on stock dividends and capital gains will go from 15 percent to 20 percent. President Barack Obama has said he would like to see them raised as high as 28 percent.

And here’s an astounding fact that is known (or should be) to every member of Congress: Whenever Congress has increased taxes on capital gains in the past, actual tax collections have gone down.  (PROVEN FACT)

That’s right: When government raises the tax rate, actual receipts drop. When you think about it, it’s not hard to understand why. Capital gains only occur when someone sells an investment and reports making a profit on it. But most of the time, they don’t have to sell. Given the mood of the country right now, how many investors will sit on their holdings rather than give more and more of them to a greedy, grasping, irresponsible government?

Oh, and there’s one more monstrosity racing down the road toward us. That is the re-imposition of the dreaded estate tax. Beginning next year the estate tax is slated to return to 55 percent on inheritances above $1 million. Right now, because Congress did nothing last year, the estate tax is zero. That explains the delirious joy on the part of the heirs of such billionaires as John Kluge and George Steinbrenner.

By dying this year, they saved their families over a billion dollars in taxes. Imagine — their heirs got all the money, not Uncle Sam. No wonder the distributionists among us are having apoplexy.

Where does all that money go? Part of it makes certain that Federal employees now make, on average, more than twice as much as workers in the private sector. That’s the startling conclusion of an analysis by USA Today, which found that anyone lucky enough to be gobbling at the Federal trough receives, on average, some $41,791 in benefits a year.

That’s in addition to a salary, on average, of $81,258 a year. Private workers, in comparison, earn only $61,051 in total compensation.

Let me repeat the first number, to make sure you grasp it. The average benefits of a Federal employee, above and beyond the salary he or she actually gets paid, comes to $41,791 a year.

If that isn’t enough to make you want to throw some tea into Boston Harbor — and a whole bunch of incumbents along with it, I don’t know what will.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

— Chip Wood

The Delphi Disaster: An Economic Horror Story Obama Won't Tell

The White House believes it can win back depressed and economically stressed voters by turning President Obama into the storyteller-in-chief again. But victims of Obama's Chicago politics don't want to hear any more of his own well-worn tales of struggle and sacrifice. They've got their own tragedies to tell -- heart-wrenching dramas of personal and financial suffering at the very hands of Obama.

Consider the real-life horror story of 20,000 white-collar workers at Delphi, a leading auto parts company spun off from GM a decade ago. As Washington rushed to nationalize the U.S. auto industry with $80 billion in taxpayer "rescue" funds and avoid contested court termination proceedings, the White House auto team schemed with Big Labor bosses to preserve UAW members' costly pension funds by shafting their nonunion counterparts. In addition, the nonunion pensioners lost all of their health and life insurance benefits.

The abused workers -- most from hard-hit northeast Ohio, Michigan and neighboring states -- had devoted decades of their lives as secretaries, technicians, engineers and sales employees at Delphi/GM. Some workers have watched up to 70 percent of their pensions vanish.

John Berent of Marblehead, Ohio, lost one-third of his pension: "I worked as a salaried employee for GM (30 years) and Delphi (10 years). After 40 years of dedicated service, I was forced to retire. Then Delphi terminated my health care, life insurance, vision, dental, then terminated the pension plan. Everything I worked 40 years for was wiped out."

Kelly Fabrizio of Franksville, Wis., saw her pension reduced by 55 percent after working 30 years at Delphi/GM: "I am truly scared for my future. Every day I wake up, shake my head and say out loud -- This Is Not How It Was Supposed To Be."

Roger Hoke of Columbus, Mich., and his wife were both longtime Delphi workers. His pension shrunk by more than 40 percent: "After 33 years with GM and another 10 with Delphi, what did I do wrong to deserve such a fate?"

Paul Dobosz of the Delphi Salaried Retiree Association recounts how they got screwed: "The Auto Task Force knew that the only thing standing in the way of GM getting what they wanted out of Delphi was the already frozen pension obligations." They hatched a plan to dump those pensions on the federally run Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, while at the same time "devising a clever way to make the UAW pensions whole using GM and TARP money to accomplish it. The scheme was documented in sworn depositions (that) revealed ... that some groups of workers were more 'politically sensitive' and would be afforded special treatment (i.e. subsidy using TARP money) while others less politically worthy would be left out."

In other words: Obama's team of auto-crats -- stocked with Big Labor-friendly appointees and self-admitted know-nothings about the car industry -- decided to "cherry pick" (one Obama official's own words) which obligations the new Government Motors company would assume and which they would abandon based on their own political whims and fealty. Due process and equal treatment of union and nonunion workers be damned. Administration officials assert that the Delphi workers' pension fund was underfunded, but two separate actuarial analyses undercut the claim.

The Delphi workers sued the feds and will have a day in court on Sept. 24. They are not asking for a bailout. They are simply asking for fair treatment under the rule of law. Delphi supporters also point out that the very scheme used to "top up" the union workers' pensions with taxpayer subsidies was challenged by the federal government and ruled illegal by the Supreme Court in the 1990s.

A separate investigation by TARP inspector general Neil Barofsky, announced last week, will also probe "whether political considerations played a role in favoring hourly over salaried retirees." It shouldn't take long to unearth the facts. Obama's own former auto czar Steve Rattner admitted in his new memoir that "attacking the union's sacred cow" could "jeopardize" the auto bailout deal.

While Obama conducts his worker empathy tour at staged town halls and rallies across the country, his Treasury Department continues to stonewall and refuses to answer questions about the Delphi disaster. But many workers left out in the cold know the truth: Lip-biting, yarn-spinning Obama doesn't feel their pain. He caused it.

Canadian Prediction on Obama: Howard Galganov

Canadian Prediction on Obama

Ever wonder why we have to depend on the Foreign Press to find out what's "really" going on in our own country. It's a good thing that Obama and the democrats don't own the Canadian press. Here is what Howard Galganov predicts for Barack Hussein Obama –

PLEASE READ:

Barack Hussein Obama: "I Told You So, Yes I Did! " By: Howard Galganov - Montreal, Quebec, Canada

When Obama won the Presidency with the help of the LEFTIST media, Hollywood And Entertainment Liberals, Ethnic Socialists (ACORN), Stupid Non-Business Professionals and Bush Haters, I wrote: It won't take six months until the People figure this guy out and realize how horrible a mistake they've made. And when they come to that realization, the damage to the United States of America will be so great it will take a generation or more to repair - IF EVER.

The IDIOTS who not only voted for this Messiah, but also worked hard to promote his Lordship, are now left holding the bag. Here are two things they will NEVER do:

1. They will NEVER admit to making a blunder out of all proportion by electing a snake-oil salesman with no positive social history or management experience of any kind.

2. They will NEVER take responsibility for the curse they've imposed upon the immediate and long-term future of their country. In essence, the people responsible for putting this horror show in power are themselves responsible for every cataclysmic decision he makes and the consequences thereof.

In just six months, the Messiah's polls are showing the following:

1. On Healthcare Reform - He's going under for the third time with polling well Under 50 percent, even within his own Party. Even though he might be able to Muscle a Healthcare Reform Bill by using Chicago BULLY tactics against his Fellow Democrats, it will just make things worse.

2. On Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax) - The Fat-Lady is already singing.

3. On the Stimulus Package (Tax and Spend) - His popularity is in FREE-FALL.

4. On the TARP package he took and ran with from President Bush - It's all but Good-Night Irene.

5. On the closing of GITMO and "HIS" war on what he no longer wants called the War On Terrorism - He's standing in quicksand with his head just about to go under.

6. On a Comparison between himself and George W. Bush at the same six months into Their respective first term Presidencies - Bush is ahead of him in the Polls.

7. On a comparison between He Who Walks On Water and the 12 preceding Presidents between WW II and now Obama ranks 10th.

8. On a Poll just Conducted, that asks who would you vote for today between Obama and Mitt Romney - It's a dead heat. Between Obama and Palin - Obama's ONLY ahead by 8 Points and she hasn't even begun to campaign. It seems to me that Obama Wants to be everywhere where he shouldn't be.

He's personally invested in 'totally insulting' America's ONLY REAL Middle Eastern ally ( Israel ) in favor of Palestinian Despots and Murderers. He's traveling the world apologizing for the USA while lecturing others on how to do it right, when in fact and truth he has no experience at doing anything other than getting elected.

He went to the Muslim world in Egypt to declare that America IS NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION while he heaped praises on Islam, where he compared the "plight" of the Palestinians to the Holocaust.

a.) The Russians think he's a putz.

b.) The French think he's rude.

c.) The Germans want him to stop spending.

d.) The Indians want him to mix his nose out of their environmental business.

e.) The North Koreans think he's a joke.

f.) The Iranians won't acknowledge his calls.

g.) The British can't even come up with a comprehensive opinion of him.

h.) As for the Chinese, he's too frightened to even glance their way. [After All, China now owns a large portion of the United States.

Maybe if America's first Emperor would stay home more, travel less, and work a little bit instead of being on television just about everyday or stop running to "papered" Town Hall Meetings, perhaps he would have a little bit of time to do the work of the nation.

In all fairness, it wasn't HARD to be RIGHT in my prediction concerning Obama's presidency, even in its first six months, so I'm going to make yet another prediction:

OBAMA WILL PROBABLY NOT FINISH HIS 4-YEAR TERM, at least not in a Conventional way.

He is such a political HORROR SHOW, and so detrimental to the USA and his Own Democratic Party, that the Democrats themselves will either FORCE him to Resign or figure out a way to have him thrown out.

Or - MORE LIKELY THAN NOT, the Democrats will make Obama THEIR OWN LAME DUCK PRESIDENT.

I don't believe the Democrats have nearly as much love for their country as they do for their own political fortunes. And with Obama, their fortunes are rapidly becoming toast.

Butterfield's record

SUN JOURNAL NEW BERN, LETTER TO THE EDITOR:  Butterfield's record

August 12, 2010 10:00 PM

Me? I was raised believing in self-reliance, strong national security, small government, free enterprise, and individual liberty. Plainly, my mentors got it all wrong.

Case in point: the congressional votes of U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield.

On big ticket items stimulus, health care, cap and trade, financial reform, and SERVE/Americorps, he’s voted straight party line flying smack in the face of small government, free enterprise, and freedom of choice. No two ways about it. Polled Americans overwhelmingly reject these programs — 71 percent of Missourians just said “dump Obama-care!”

So much for consent of the governed.

In fairness, Mr. Butterfield voted no several times. No to funding missile defense and no to saving TARP money before it’s squandered on additional self-promoting road signs and more sporty turtle tunnels.

Mr. Butterfield co-sponsored 15 pieces of legislation total. A total of two were made into law, both named federal buildings after constituents.

Additionally, Mr. Butterfield wrote the profound “Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite Act of 2009” then voted to continue funding ACORN.

I can’t make this stuff up.
