The next meeting of the Craven-Pamlico Christian Coalition will be on Monday, February 20th, at Golden Corral in New Bern. The meeting begins at 7:00pm and ends at 8:30.
We encourage folks to eat prior to the meeting to foster fellowship and informal discussion, so you should arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 if you are going to eat.
Our guest speaker this month is Mr. John McCastle. He has been involved with the pro-life movement for over 20 years serving as a pregnancy center director in Kalamazoo, Michigan and St. Louis Missouri. He served as founder and director of the Alliance for Life-Missouri for over five years, a statewide affiliation of pregnancy centers. The group was an affiliation of pregnancy centers and pro-life organizations. He has been instrumental in assisting several communities establish pregnancy centers and implement ultrasound services, the most recent in Havelock, NC. Mr. McCastle’s commitment to pregnancy centers continues as he is a Heartbeat International consultant, training in the area of Board leadership. He volunteers with Life International, Ultrasounds For Life and is on the board of the his local pregnancy center. He and his wife Robin, live in North Carolina with their two sons, Matthew and Christopher.
Other agenda items to be discussed include:
* The Obama administration’s mandate to provide all contraception, including abortion-inducing drugs, in their health care plans;
* The North Carolina Marriage Protection Amendment that will be on the ballot in May 2012.
