Paul A. Rahe holds the Charles O. Lee and Louise K. Lee Chair in Western Heritage and is Professor of History at Hillsdale College. He earned his Ph.D. from Yale University and has taught at Cornell University and the University of Tulsa. He blogs on Ricochet.com and has authored several books, including Soft Despotism, Democracy's Drift and Republics Ancient and Modern: Classical Republicanism and the American Revolution.
