When our federal representatives stretch the power given to them by the Constitution, can our state legislators protect us and our state? Debate on that is currently occurring among state legislators and others. It will be the topic of a panel presentation at the
Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association (CCTA) meeting on
Tuesday, March 19th at 7 pm at the Bridgepointe Hotel in the room overlooking the Trent River.
Jeff Lewis with the Patriot Coalition, and
Phil Routszong, Chairman of the Crystal Coast Republican Liberty Caucus will be on the panel, as will
former North Carolina House member, Glen Bradley, if his schedule permits. Discussion should be lively, but respectful. Views may diverge, but courtesy will not. Whether you are in favor of
"Interposition," "Nullification," another approach, or doing nothing, this will be a window on what "the powers that be" are currently considering, and might just reveal enough information to help you form your opinion.
Our founders believed that self-governing via a representative republic could be successfully achieved only if our people kept themselves well informed and were of good moral character. CCTA concurs, and makes providing venues to keep people well informed an important part of its work.
