Americans fought a war to end slavery. Will we have to fight to resist becoming slaves?

February 1st was National Freedom Day. It commemorates Lincoln’s signing of the House and Senate resolution that later became the 13th Amendment. Lincoln signed the Amendment outlawing slavery on February 1, 1865.

Short of another Civil War, Americans have reached a point verging on the loss of their Constitutional freedoms as ever before. The issue then was slavery, but Americans are rapidly moving toward having their Bill of Rights annulled by a President intent on ruling as a despot, making them slaves of a regime that rules as he wishes, ignoring the Constitution and Congress.

His actions have been supported by the Democratic members of Congress and because Republicans only control the House they have seen their legislative efforts to oppose the regime blocked, often by one man, Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader. The nation’s media with few exceptions have supported or ignored the President’s actions.

Why is this happening? A brief review of the means put forth in Saul Alinski’s “Rules for Radicals”, written by a “community organizer”, outlines what Obama is doing as he seeks to turn America into a socialist state. It is a process that progressives/liberals have been pursuing since early in the last century.

Until the founders made their declaration of independence and gave us the Constitution, humanity’s condition was that of ruler and subject. That relationship had changed little for 5000 years. And then, for the first time in history, America’s founders championed the idea that ALL of our rights came from our creator, that the citizen is sovereign, and that government is our servant. To keep the relationship that way, they wrote a contract, our Constitution, with language that would not allow our elected and appointed servants to easily change it.

While the rest of the world was enslaved, died, were slaughtered, starved imprisoned, impoverished, gassed or gulaged under Socialism, Communism, Fascism or Nazism, our Constitution protected our rights: besides life (and the freedom to protect same), and liberty, our founders realized our God given rights included the freedom—not the right—to succeed. For the first time in history it was understood and written in our Constitution that these were inalienable rights, and they came not from a ruler or a king, but from our creator! But what if most came to believe there was no creator—no God?Hold that thought a minute.

For the most part our servants—our elected and appointed representatives—obeyed their oath to uphold the mandates of our contract, and we became the country of “American Exceptionalism.” Free from the stranglehold of oppressive government, we became the economic powerhouse of the world and the singular example of what truly free citizens could accomplish. But now that is changing, and changing rapidly. 

Regardless of a growing history of failure, there are always those who embrace all or parts of those isms. And regardless of all those isms’ history of disaster, there are always those that sell class envy and the promise of: if only they could be in charge they would create a utopia for the oppressed—the little guy. But in America, it was particularly difficult: the Constitution and our history of unlimited opportunity for prosperity stood in the way of their dreams. Worse, unlike elsewhere, the founders, in their wisdom created a high bar to change it in Article V of our contract with them.

So, in the face of unlimited freedom, opportunity for prosperity and a constitution that had served us so well, and the abject failure of every ism in history, would be usurpers of power realized they would have to accomplish their goals by subterfuge—by, as the Marxists Antonio Gramsci wrote and taught his acolytes (Saul Alinsky, et al)—“by a long walk through the American culture. (8)  In order of priority, they would have to obtain hegemony over:

1.      education

2.      media

3.      pop culture and more

They have succeeded beyond their wildest expectations!

Those who would seize power realized there would have to be fundamental change in thinking; if not the words themselves, then what people thought the meaning of the constitution was—hence hegemony at every level of education was paramount and first in priority giving us programs such as Common Core. Hegemony over the media and pop culture was considered a must to popularized progressive ideas from education with the uninformed—with our youth. And so it began—the end game being the total elimination of the greatest political document ever.

Just the highlights of the subterfuge—there is much, much more:

1.      The Constitution is a living breathing document that must change with the times. To change and eventually eliminate the constitution, would-be usurpers realized they would have to convince the population that the constitution was a relic of former times: when rich white men ruled over the rest of the population—that the constitution must therefore change with the times. Even though the Federalists Papers are replete with arguments to the contrary, those desiring to implement their ism teach our children otherwise.

2.      The law is what the judges say it is. Early on, usurpers decided to use the courts—particularly, the non-elected Supreme Court—to find this power by making rather than simply interpreting law and offering their advice to our elected representatives as the founders intended. (1)(5) Once made, the courts would invoke Stare Decisis. (3)When they found new meaning in the constitution a precedent was set, and they made it difficult to revisit that decision.

Before going on, ask yourself one question: Why would we the citizen ever allow our servants—and those entrusted to interpret and enforce our contract—our constitution—to also change it? We didn’t and wouldn’t. (1)The hubris of those that say so is difficult to comprehend. (2) But they did because we the people and our elected representatives let them! Remember Franklin’s words:“You have a Republic, if you can keep it!”

3.      Change the meaning of Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. (4) With the assumed power to make rather than interpret the law, representatives circumvented the difficult Article V process to change the Constitution. Now, those wanting unlimited power would interpret the General Welfare clause to mean ‘anything goes’ (5) as long as it was perceived for the general welfare. That change alone would allow our elected representatives to appeal to disparate groups of society and buy their votes under the guise of their general welfare.

In 1937, Roosevelt used the supreme court to facilitate his own brand of New Deal socialism.(5) Our representatives swore an oath they would not allow this to happen, but not enough objected. Power not authorized by we the people was usurped and the precedent was set. (2)(5)

We the people and our elected representatives let them do this! Again, Benjamin Franklin's words: “You have a Republic, if you can keep it!”

Free from the restrictions reserved only for the states, they could now use federal tax receipts for programs never envisioned by the founders nor found in the enumerated powers to solidify personal and party power. Power for pork, power to get re-elected at the expense of unknown opposition without this power. And use it they did to the extent we now owe 17 plus trillion dollars that can never be repaid. At some time in the near future, we will suffer great privation to restore this country.

4.      Over time, eliminate Federalism. Enable un-named bureaucrats (not our elected representatives) to make and write laws that subvert our constitutional rights incumbent not just on federal bureaucracies, but on the states, individuals and their property. Again, in Article 1 Section 8 the courts abrogated the constitution’s all-important limits of the enumerated powersas well as powers reserved only to the states. Perhaps James Madison said it best in a letter to James Pendleton in 1792.

"If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the general welfare, the government is no longer a limited one possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one subject to particular exceptions." For a history of the original intent see (4) The Federalist Papers are replete with such references.

5.       What came next? Having thus seized this power to make, rather than interpret and advise our constitution’s meaning, the courts were free to interpret the meaning of the Commerce Clause, the Necessary and Proper and other parts so carefully reasoned and thought out by the founders as to almost re-write the meaning of our contract to the extent it is almost meaningless. Just think of the recent Robert’s decision on the ACA. Even though a majority of citizens did not want ACA, and no Republican voted for it, Roberts found law for the administration and K street that will no doubt be challenged and debated for years all at the expense of we the people, and all under the guise of helping the oppressed—the little guy.

Again, we the people and our elected representatives let our servants change our contract! But even at this late hour, “You still have a Republic, if you can keep it!”

6.      Invent a meaning that takes God out of the Constitution and public life. Maybe a clause in the constitution (that does not exist) that says there must be a separation of church and state. Use the courts to re-enforce the notion. From kindergarten through college, use your acolytes in academia to hammer the notion home: no prayer in public places, no Christmas scenes ad nauseum. Use the media and pop culture and political correctness to drive the notion home and make God and religion un-cool.

Far too often, our first term idealistic representative seeking change is bombarded by K street—the not so new 5^th estate of government—and their party’s leadership to support their bill or motion de-jour. If they do, the support for their re-election will magically materialize. If not, the re-election of the new representative will be difficult and probably fail, and business in Washington will continue as usual. Seduced by the power of the federal purse, there is little difference between political parties as there is virtually no restriction on what constitutes “general welfare” beyond the support and power necessary to pass a bill. Both parties want access to that power, and so the practice endures.

A few thoughts: If we are to have the slightest chance for our republic to endure, we must insist that our representatives and appointees adhere to the powers granted to them and nothing more. We must return to the original intent of the founders especially with regard to Article 1 Section 8. Almost everyone understands their must be provisions for the indigent and those in our Republic that cannot care for themselves. Over time, thought, we must phase out government welfare programs keeping only those that we can justify though constitutional processes. We must totally re-think letting faceless bureaucrats make law through the pernicious CFR’s enabling government to promulgate total control dogma such as Agenda 21. Adhering to the original intent of the constitution will greatly reduce the constant pressure from K street to support their program of the hour. Without these measures, business in Washington will continue until our republic collapses under the sheer weight of debt.

Now, for that thought from the beginning: So what might happen if the majority came to believe that there is no God—a thought so assiduously promulgated at all levels of education, pop culture and government? Would it not logically follow that there are no inalienable rights? Would that notion logically suggest that any rights we do have come from government, and therefore may be repealed by government?

The return to the constitution will require education of citizen and representative. No longer can we tolerate representatives whose attitudes and ignorance put the future of the republic in peril. (See (6) for an example) Through our national retreat from god as our creator, and from our collective silence and ignorance of the constitution, we have left the door wide open to usher in the next ism and tyranny! In a little over 220 years, we have almost reverted to the natural state of the previous 5000—the condition of government as master, and we the people as servant. We are in a freefall into tyrannywith judges and legislators leading the way aided by the complicit, the ignorant and the silence of we the people. But right now we still have a choice:“You still have a Republic, if you can keep it!”

These thoughts are my opinions. I have made them after considerable research and a lifetime of observation and engagement.

A Nullification History Lesson for Jesse Jackson

Saul Alinsky, the king of community organizers, once wrote in his book Rules for Radicals that one should “pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

There’s little in American politics that is more polarizing than race, and there’s few better at this kind of fear-mongering than Jesse Jackson.

In his recent columns, Jesse has aggressively pushed the race-card, hoping to convince the fearful that attempts to block Obamacare funding in Congress are somehow born of the same mentality held by those who wanted to preserve the institution of slavery in the 19th century.

Seriously.  You can’t make this stuff up.

AN AMATEUR

Jesse might be a professional polarizer, but he’s an amateur historian, at best.  That’s really an understatement.  Seriously, the guy’s a joke when it comes to facts.

In pontificating about Obamacare, race, and slavery, Jesse tried to give a history lesson, and failed.  Miserably.

Where he really went off the rails was when he attempted to show his “expertise” on nullification.

Saul Alinsky’s Ninth Rule for Radicals and the 2013 Budget Fight | Pundit House

Saul Alinsky’s Ninth Rule for Radicals is that “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself,” the point of which is to say there is a lot you can do to defeat your opponent mentally and vise versa.   In fact, Sun Tzu said “The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting” but that if you must fight, you should leverage your opponent’s psychology to your advantage.  “Appear weak when you are strong and strong when you are weak,” he said.

This principle is evident even in one on one combat.  In boxing for example, fighters try to break their opponent’s wills before the fight even begins by delivering a deadly cold stare, sending chills down their opponent’s spines.  

We can see this tactic at work today more than at any time in recent political history in America.  These days, Obama has Republicans in such fear that they unapologetically skip the fight and go straight to declaring defeat.  

In their defense, Obama’s string of successes has defied rationality.  In 2008, he was perhaps the least experienced candidate to ever win the presidency. He came from a radical background, yet received practically no vetting whatsoever from the mainstream media.  The whole scene was unlike anything in modern American history, with the extraordinarily large, euphoric and delusional masses under the spell of a demagogue.

A totally unsuspecting American public fell victim to the unprecedented assault of every third world populist tactic in the play-book, e.g. class warfare, racism, sexism, idolatry and so on.   By and large, America had no experience with this and therefore had no basis by which to know this was happening and to therefore reject it on its demerits.  However, if you ask an immigrant from Cuba or a former Soviet Satellite state, they recognized and rejected Obama for what he was right away.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media reinforced the Obama narrative and when events occurred or information was somehow revealed which contradicted the Obama narrative, you would likely never know the contradiction had ever existed—just like in third world countries.

Benghazi and Obama's Ambition to Be U.N. SecGen

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General.


There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it's true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama's oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up.

But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

1. Obama's unbounded ego.

In three and a half years, Obama will be out of a job. He is 50 now and wants to soar to greater heights, because that's what matters more than anything else in his life.

What's better to Obama's Napoleonic self than being U.N. Sec Gen? He is a man who wants to be worshiped by the world, and the path to that goal is clear. It is also an opportunity to carry out his internationalist and pro-Muslim convictions.

Personalities like his need the excitement of taking big risks for big gains. Obama's slogan "the audacity of hope" comes from Napoleon's general, who described his war strategy as "Audacity, audacity, always audacity!" Alinsky's Rules advise: "Always act outside of the experience of the enemy." It now looks like Obama has never won a single clean election, because he has always violated the rules. He always gambles, and as long as his opponents play by the rules, he wins.

Mitt Romney is a good and decent man, and IRS intimidation of political enemies is just not his way. Knowing that, the Obama campaign violated the rules deliberately, cynically, and with malice aforethought. It worked.

2. Obama's internationalist ideology.

The Communist anthem is The Internationale. When Obama gave his big speech in Berlin even before the first inauguration, his first words were "Citizens of the world!" That was meant as Marxist symbolism. All the leftists in the world cheered themselves hoarse.

Berlin was Marx's city, the capital of the Prussian Empire that was the model for the Communist Worker's Paradise, to be guided by the new Prussian Junkers, the Communist Party. "Citizens of the world!" was an echo of "Workers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains!"

The American media didn't bother to tell us that, but they knew. They knew.

Obama constantly pulls stunts with obvious Marxist overtones. His inner circle laughs at his audacity, and he likes to clown it up for Valerie Jarrett, Michelle, Ayers, and Axelrod.

Obama is a trickster, power-hungry, insatiable, and sociopathic. His enemy is us, or what Jeremiah Wright would call "middleclassness," the values that most of us try to live by.

As a European Socialist, Obama does not believe in the U.S. Constitution. His appointees have no conscience about violating the Constitution, as is obvious from today's news about fundamental IRS violations, fundamental invasion of news reporters' privileges under the First Amendment, and fundamental violations of the ethics of combat commanders -- leaving soldiers under fire to the tender mercies of a vicious enemy.

Obama is audacity man -- violating decent values is his specialty. Bill and Hillary found that out when he played the race card against them at the 2008 Democratic Convention. Democrats always play the race card, but never against each other. In 2008, Obama violated that rule, and he got away with it.

3. Butt-kissing tyrants.

If Obama wants to run for U.N. SecGen after 2016, he needs two things: a U.S. nomination by a Democratic president and a majority vote in the U.N. General Assembly.

Let's say Hillary gets elected in 2016, as Democrats now are hoping. She nominates Obama to be U.N. SecGen, to rousing cheers from the New York Times and Washington Post, the U.K. Guardian, and Workers' World.

Now Obama needs a majority of U.N. General Assembly votes.

By butt-kissing every throwback tyrant in sight, Obama is buying U.N. votes for himself. Obama's public bows to throwbacks like Saudi's King Abdullah and the emperor of Japan are not just another weird thing about this guy. They are strategic, with the purpose of lining up support for the future.

There are 57 Muslim states. (Remember Obama's slip of the tongue when he talked about "all 57 states"? He wasn't thinking about Heinz 57 flavors. He was thinking about Muslim states.)

Europe is the home of imperialist socialism. The European Union is the successor to the Soviet Union, run by an appointed political machine just like the USSR. Obama is a EuroSoc, and he will get enthusiastic support from there.

South America will vote for him, because he is actively supporting leftist regimes below the border. Obama's recent trip to Mexico was full of bowing and scraping to Mexico's tender feelings about losing Texas and California in the 19th century. Blowing open the border is just another favor Obama is doing for Latin America.

If you combine his unbounded ego with his penchant for audacious trickery, it becomes clear why Obama would want to be U.N. Secretary General. To U.N.-worshipers, the SecGen is the basis for a world presidency. Even if it remains a weak position, it could be a wonderful bully pulpit for Obama's endless speech habit. It would crown Obama's life achievements and allow him to crow over the United States with its old-fashioned constitution designed to limit the powers of such as The Trickster.

President Obama could have used the Benghazi attack on 9/11 last year to look like the commander in chief, a role he loves to play. He could have allowed Air Force jets to strafe and bomb the gaggle of Ansar al Shari'a gunmen who overran the compound and killed what are now admitted to be six Americans, including Ambassador Stevens.

This might have been Obama's Heroic Capture of bin Laden, part 2.

When Obama skips a chance to boast and strut on the stage just before an election, we have to wonder why. He is not usually shy about putting himself in the limelight.

Michael Barone and Charles Krauthammer believe that Benghazi was covered up because Obama and Hillary were afraid to admit that al-Qaeda wasn't dead -- that AQ is very much alive, and dangerous as a snake.

On 9/11 last year, there were not one, but two simultaneous assaults on American targets: the Cairo Embassy and the Benghazi compound. The front pages that day showed the black AQ flag flying over a burned part of the U.S. Embassy. Double-simultaneous assaults are an al-Qaeda signature, as we know from 9/11/01, when the Pentagon was assaulted simultaneously with the Twin Towers. Double-bomb attacks spell AL-QAEDA.

Everybody in the Muslim world understood that on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11/01, AQ was telling the world it could strike us at any place and time. Obama quotes Alinsky in speech to young Israelis

In his address in Jerusalem today, President Obama channeled Saul Alinsky, citing the radical community organizer’s defining mantra as he urged young Israelis to “create change” to nudge their leadership to act.


Obama told a crowd of college students at Jerusalem’s main convention center that Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”

One of Alinsky’s major themes was working with the world as it “is” to turn it into the world as “it should be.”

In his defining work, “Rules for Radicals,” which he dedicated to “the first rebel,” Lucifer, Alinsky used those words to lay out his main agenda. He asserted radical change must be brought about by working within a system instead of attacking it from the outside.

“It is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working in the system,” wrote Alinsky.

AMERICAN THINKER: The Campaign Ads That Will Defeat Obama

Despite the life-and-death issues at stake, the Obama campaign has begun a re-election effort based largely on Rule 5 of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It's hard to counterattack ridicule..."


The reason is simple: personal attacks and mockery worked so well in reducing Sarah Palin to a negative caricature that any formidable opponent now automatically receives the Palin treatment from the Obama camp and its obedient media.

Ideally the two campaigns would agree to avoid such attacks, yet it's already too late. The Obama team is eagerly collecting Romney's alleged gaffes, and has begun running a "greatest hits" video that includes Romney's out-of-context half-sentence, "I'm not concerned about the very poor..." They also plan to highlight the most damaging moments of the GOP debates.

Sun Journal Letter to the Editor: Rules for Radicals by CCTA Chairman, Nancy Murdoch

One would expect local Democrats to defend President Obama in our local paper, but Saul Alinsky? For readers not familiar with Alinsky, he was a radical of the ’60s and ’70s known for his community organizing to achieve his far left agenda. His book, “Rules for Radicals” (originally called “Rules for Revolution”) was dedicated to the first radical, Lucifer. Alinsky based his strategies on those of Neo-Marxist, Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Communist. Gramsci believed that the revolutionary plan of Lenin and Stalin wouldn’t work in the West; instead he favored an assault on Biblical absolutes and Christian values that would allow the new face of Communism to flourish.

Many people have read Alinsky to discover how to effectively engage with those using “Rules” and to render them ineffective. After all, one of Sun-Tzu’s Rules of War is to know your enemy. The primary premise of “Rules” is the means justify the ends, and the lowest, vilest tactics may be used to weaken or destroy ones’ adversaries. Most Conservatives are too decent and principled to actually use these tactics, but feel it necessary to be aware of what kind of tactics the left will employ and be able to recognize them for what they are. Radicals prefer destroying to building; whether it is people or a system of government with which they disagree. Alinsky may not have been a Marxist or Communists, but he knew quite a few, had dealings with them, as well as other radical types like the Black Panthers. His beliefs were not important; only the tactics.

An apt description of Alinsky would be master manipulator. His goal was to figure out what people wanted to hear and then give it to them, disguising the true goal, achieving as much power as possible. He rejected the unkempt hippies of the ’60s, and favored a bath, haircut, and a nice suit in order to infiltrate the system from within.

Many of the academic elite, the main stream media, and a number of politicians were students of Alinsky. Hillary Clinton wrote her doctoral thesis on Alinsky, and President Obama taught the “Rules” principles in his community organizing days. Democrats can deny the relationship between the left and Alinsky, but the facts indicate otherwise. When a candidate speaks of “fundamentally transforming the United States of America”, prudent Americans would be wise to listen.

THE BLAZE: Revealed: Michigan Union Manual Instructing Teachers on How to Use Children as ‘Propoganda’

“For more than two years, the Michigan Education Association [MEA] has had a manual that urges its members to use students as propaganda in contract negotiations and also lays out how to organize strikes,” writes Tome Gantert of Michigan Capitol Confidential.


Considering the fact that teacher strikes are illegal in Michigan, some may find it odd that the MEA has been encouraging this sort of behavior.

In fact, the MEA has been doing a lot more than just encouraging. As Gantert reports, the organization produced an anonymously written 28-page manual titled, “Building Full Capacity Locals — Crisis Planning, It’s Never Too Early To Start!”

While there are many things in the manual that should be the cause for concern, probably the most disturbing moment occurs when one section appears to quote almost verbatim Saul Alinksy’s “Rules For Radicals.”

Alinsky instructs his followers to “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Likewise, the MEA manual instructs teachers to “Pick a target—personalize—and polarize the opposition [pg. 17].” And those are just the verbatim quotes; the entire manual is a handbook for creating, managing, and profiting from crises.

Representatives of the MEA were unavailable for comment when The Blaze contacted them for more information.

“What’s really troubling about this publication isn’t what’s inside, it’s right there on the cover. This organization has decided it is above the law that has empowered them so much in so many other ways,” said Paul Kersey, director of labor policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, according to the Michigan Capitol Confidential article.

Washington,DC- Cold bitter winds blowing through Washington, DC today didn’t stop patriots from coming from as far away as Hawaii, Kentucky, South Carolina and Michigan to the Washington Monument to take stand for the American Constitution and the Declaration of Independence at the Restoring the Constitutional Republic 11.11.11 rally.


US Patriots Union founder, columnist JB Williams and Veterans Defenders of America leader Col. Harry Riley, who organized the rally knew in the planning stage that no matter how many the rally gathered, the snub of the mainstream media would be the same.


Along with JB, CFP columnists Navy SEAL Jim O’Neill and Dr. Ileana Johnson were there.

CFP editor Judi McLeod felt honoured to be asked by JB and Riley to address the gathering.

“Few eras in American and world history are more critical than the one we are all living right now.


“For this is the dark chapter when an undocumented ‘president’ works round-the-clock to deliver to global elitist power brokers his promised Fundamental Transformation of America.

RANDY'S RIGHT: Cloward-Piven Paradise Now?

Combine class warfare, demonizing the rich, getting as many people onto the welfare rolls as possible, and pushing the economic system to collapse and you have a flawless formula for Cloward-Piven 2.0 — and a vehicle that ensures Obama remains in power.

Cloward-Piven is a much talked-about strategy proposed in the mid-1960′s by two ColumbiaUniversity sociology professors named Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. The Cloward-Piven approach was sometimes referred to as the “crisis strategy,” which they believed were a means to “end poverty.”

The premise of the Cloward-Piven collective/anti-capitalist gospel decried “individual mobility and achievement,” celebrated organized labor, fostered the principle that “if each finally found himself in the same relative economic relationship to his fellows … all were infinitely better off.”

The duo taught that if you flooded the welfare rolls and bankrupted the cities and ultimately the nation, it would foster economic collapse, which would lead to political turmoil so severe that socialism would be accepted as a fix to an out-of-control set of circumstances.

The idea was that if people were starving and the only way to eat was to accept government cheese, rather than starve, the masses would agree to what they would otherwise reject. In essence, for the socialist-minded, the Cloward-Piven strategy is a simple formula that makes perfect sense; the radical husband-and-wife team had Saul Alinsky as their muse, and they went on to teach his social action principles to a cadre of socialist-leaning community organizers, one of whom was Barack Obama.

As the debt crisis continues to worsen, President Obama stands idly by an inferno with his arms crossed, shaking his head, and doing nothing other than kinking the fire hose and closing the spigot. Spectator Obama is complaining that the structure of the American economy is engulfed in flames while accusing the Congress, which is trying desperately to douse the fire, of doing nothing about the problem.

Although speculative, if the Cloward-Piven strategy is the basis of the left’s game plan, spearheaded by Alinsky devotee Barack Obama, it certainly explains the President’s inaction and detached attitude.

The greatest nation in the history of the world is teetering on the brink of a catastrophic economic crisis. America was pushed to this point by a rapidly-expanding national debt and a stressed-out entitlement system; in the center of this crisis is the President, who insists on expanding it even further, all in the name “fairness” and “social justice.”

As a default date nears and the President threatens seniors that there’s a chance they may not receive their Social Security checks, it has been revealed that the federal government disperses a stunning 80 million checks a month, which means that about a third of the US adult population could be receiving some sort of entitlement.

Since the 1960′s when Cloward-Piven presented a socialistic guideline to usher in the type of evenhandedness Obama lauds, America’s entitlement rolls have swelled from eight million to 80 million. If the nation’s ability to disperse handouts were ever disrupted, it’s not hard to see how chaos would erupt should an angry army of millions demand what Cloward-Piven called “the right to income.”

Couple the threat of dried-up funds for food stamps, Social Security, unemployment benefits and the like with the Obama administration’s vigorous campaign to turn a tiny upper class of big earners into the enemy, and you have the Cloward-Piven recipe for anarchy and complete collapse.

If the worst happened, Saul Alinsky’s biggest fan, whose poll numbers continue to plummet, could use mayhem in the streets to remain firmly ensconced in the White House. Alinsky taught his students a basic principle that community organizer Barack Obama learned well: “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” Fiscal disintegration coupled with lawlessness would deliver the type of Cloward-Piven/Saul Alinsky trifecta that progressives have worked toward and waited decades for.

Barack Obama has spent the last 1,000+ days defying reason and choosing policy directions that seem nonsensical to the rational mind: a failed stimulus package; ObamaCare; growing the deficit to astronomical proportions; and cynically portraying wealth as immoral. Now, when cuts are the only fix to a budgetary balloon about to burst, a seemingly illogical President digs in and demands additional phantom dollars to spend on a system that is collapsing under the weight of unmanageable debt.

It’s hard to figure out the method to the President’s obvious madness, because based on Obama’s approval rating, if the election were held today even Pee Wee Herman could replace Obama behind the Resolute Desk. Maybe the “method” isn’t “mad” in the least!

Could it be that Barack Obama is purposely pressuring the system in a premeditated effort to foster a major crisis? One that would demand extraordinary measures to control by a President who could then mete out basic sustenance to Americans who would agree to anything to regain some sense of normalcy. And in the process successfully usher in the “socially just” system Barack Obama has dreamed of all his life.

While radical Alinsky/Cloward-Piven disciple Obama appears to be clueless and detached, it may be a ploy; he may actually be focused and engaged as he purposely pursues an Alinsky-inspired course of action to force the system to “live up” to its own rules. Obama’s ultimate goal of once-and-for-all discrediting the capitalist system and replacing America’s foundational economic and social tenets with a broad-based socialist one headed by progressive Marxists like himself, is actually within reach.

As Obama pushes and prods the US economy and instigates social unrest, it could be that he believes a Cloward-Piven-style utopia resides just beyond the horizon — a progressive panacea where an election-free, classless society, thankful for a simple crust of bread, looks to Barack Obama to keep the peace by remaining in power indefinitely.

Therefore, unless all of America, regardless of class or political persuasion, pays attention to the potential for a bleak future that lies ahead and realizes the President’s non-plan could be itself an actual calculated plan, the resulting consequences will affect everyone, as Barack Obama transforms a once great nation into Cloward and Piven’s idea of paradise.

1.. Soros is not an American citizen.
2.. He has always fronted for the Rothschilds and other European banking interests such as Warburg, Schiff, Loeb, Sassoon, and Israel-Seif. A lot has been written about the influence of Soros, but this is the most comprehensive. It is more credible coming from Steve Kroft (60 Minutes) and a liberal network.

Who Is George Soros? He brought the market down in 2 days. Here is what Steve Kroft's (CBS) research has turned up. It's a bit of a read, and it took 4 months to put it together. "The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States ." George Soros is an evil man. He's anti-God, anti-family, anti-American and anti-good. What we have in Soros, is a multi-billionaire atheist, with skewed moral values, and a sociopath's lack of conscience. He considers himself to be an elitist world-class philosopher, despises the American way, and loves to do social engineering and change cultures.

György Schwartz, better known to the world as George Soros, was born August 12, 1930 in Hungary . Soros' father, Tivadar, was a fervent practitioner of the Esperanto language invented in 1887, and designed to be the first global language, free of any national identity. The Schwartz's, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros in order to facilitate assimilation into the gentile population as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930's.

In his article, Muravchik describes how Soros has admitted to having carried some rather "potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble." Be that as it may, after WWII, Soros attended the London School of Economics where he fell under the thrall of fellow atheist and Hungarian, Karl Popper, one of his professors. Popper was a mentor to Soros until Popper's death in 1994. Two of Popper's most influential teachings concerned "the open society," and fallibilism.

Fallibilism is the philosophical doctrine that all claims of knowledge could, in principle, be mistaken. (Then again, I could be wrong about that..) The "open society" basically refers to a "test and evaluate" approach to social engineering. Regarding "open society," Roy Childs writes, "Since the Second World War, most of the Western democracies have followed Popper's advice about piecemeal social engineering and democratic social reform, and it has gotten them into a grand mess."

In 1956 Soros moved to New York City where he worked on Wall Street and started amassing his fortune. He specialized in hedge funds and currency speculation.. Soros is absolutely ruthless, amoral, and clever in his business dealings, and he quickly made his fortune. By the 1980's he was well on his way to becoming the global powerhouse that he is today. In an article Kyle-Anne Shiver wrote for The American Thinker she says, "Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically, almost overnight."

In 1994 Soros crowed in The New Republic, that "the former Soviet Empire is now called the Soros Empire." The Russia-gate scandal in 1999, which almost collapsed the Russian economy, was labeled by Rep. Jim Leach, then head of the House Banking Committee, to be "one of the greatest social robberies in human history.” "The "Soros Empire" indeed. In 1997 Soros almost destroyed the economies of Thailand and Malaysia . At the time, Malaysia 's Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohammad, called Soros "a villain, and a moron." Thai activist Weng Tojirakarn said, "We regard George Soros as a kind of Dracula. He sucks the blood from the people."

The website Greek National Pride reports, "[Soros] was part of the full court press that dismantled Yugoslavia and caused trouble in Georgia , Ukraine and Myanmar [ Burma ]. Calling himself a philanthropist, Soros' role is to tighten the ideological stranglehold of globalization and the New World Order while promoting his own financial gain. He is without conscience; a capitalist who functions with absolute amorality." France has upheld an earlier conviction against Soros for felony insider trading. Soros was fined 2.9 million dollars. Recently, his native Hungary fined Soros 2.2 million dollars for "illegal market manipulation." Elizabeth Crumb writes that the Hungarian economy has been in a state of transition as the country seeks to become more financially stable and westernized. [Soros'] deliberately driving down the share price of its largest bank put Hungary 's economy into a wicked tailspin, one from which it is still trying to recover.

My point here is that Soros is a planetary parasite. His grasp, greed, and gluttony have a global reach. But what about America ? Soros told Australia 's national newspaper The Australian, " America , as the centre of the globalized financial markets, was sucking up the savings of the world.. This is now over. The game is out," he said, adding that the time has come for "a very serious adjustment" in American's consumption habits. He implied that he was the one with the power to bring this about."

Soros: "World financial crisis was "stimulating" and "in a way, the culmination of my life's work."

Obama has recently promised 10 billion of our tax dollars to Brazil , in order to give them a leg-up in expanding their offshore oil fields. Obama's largesse towards Brazil came shortly after his political financial backer, George Soros, invested heavily in Brazilian oil (Petrobras). Tait Trussel writes, "The Petrobras loan may be a windfall for Soros and Brazil , but it is a bad deal for the U.S. The American Petroleum Institute estimates that oil exploration in the US could create 160,000 new, well-paying jobs, as well as $1.7 trillion in revenues to federal, state, and local governments, all while fostering greater energy security and independence.

A blog you might want to keep an eye on is SorosWatch.com. Their mission: "This blog is dedicated to all who have suffered due to the ruthless financial pursuits of George Soros. Your stories are many and varied, but the theme is the same: the destructive power of greed without conscience. We pledge to tirelessly watch Soros wherever he goes and to print the truth in the hope that he will one day be made to stop preying upon the world's poor, that justice will be served."
Back to America . Soros has been actively working to destroy America from the inside out for some years now. People have been warning us. Two years ago, news sources reported that "Soros [is] an extremist who wants open borders, a one-world foreign policy, legalized drugs, euthanasia, and on and on. This is off-the-chart dangerous." In 1997 Rachel Ehrenfeld wrote, "Soros uses his philanthropy to change or more accurately, deconstruct the moral values and attitudes of the Western world, and particularly of the American people. His "open society" is not about freedom; it is about license.. His vision rejects the notion of ordered liberty, in favor of a PROGRESSIVE ideology of rights and entitlements."

Perhaps the most important of these "whistle blowers" are David Horowitz and Richard Poe. Their book The Shadow Party outlines in detail how Soros hijacked the Democratic Party, and now owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for years. The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which recently became the Obama Administration.

Discover The Networks.org (another good source) writes, "By his [Soros'] own admission, he helped engineer coups in Slovakia , Croatia , Georgia , and Yugoslavia . When Soros targets a country for "regime change," he begins by creating a shadow government, a fully formed government-in-exile, ready to assume power when the opportunity arises. The Shadow Party he has built in America greatly resembles those he has created in other countries prior to instigating a coup."

The November 2008 edition of the German magazine Der Spiegel, in which Soros gives his opinion on what the next POTUS (President of the U. S. ) should do after taking office. "I think we need a large stimulus package." Soros thought that around 600 billion dollars would be about right. Soros also said that, "I think Obama presents us a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U. S. needs a cap-and-trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights."

Although Soros doesn't (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.

Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by The Baltimore Chronicle's Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by "a veritable who's who of former Republican leaders," from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head and [ex-President] George Bush, Sr.

In late 2006, Soros bought about 2 million shares of Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old stomping grounds. When the Democrats and Republicans held their conventions in 2000, Soros held Shadow Party conventions in the same cities, at the same time. In 2008, Soros donated $5,000,000,000 (that's five billion) to the Democratic National Committee, DNC, to insure Obama's win and wins for many other Alinsky-trained Radical Rules, Anti-American Socialists. George has been contributing a billion dollars plus to the DNC since Clinton came on the scene.

Soros has dirtied both sides of the aisle, trust me. And if that weren't bad enough, he has long held connections with the CIA. And I mustn't forget to mention Soros' involvement with the MSM (Main Stream Media), the entertainment industry (e.g., he owns 2.6 million shares of Time Warner), and the various political advertising organizations to which he funnels millions. In short, George Soros controls or influences most of the mainstream media. Little wonder they ignore the TEA PARTY, Soros's NEMESIS.

As Matthew Vadum writes, "The liberal billionaire-turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives." Richard Poe writes, "Soros' private philanthropy, totaling nearly $5 billion, continues undermining America 's traditional Western values. His giving has provided funding of abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage and other radical experiments in social engineering."

 Poe continues, "Through his global web of Open Society Institutes and Open Society Foundations, Soros has spent 25 years recruiting, training, indoctrinating and installing a network of loyal operatives in 50 countries, placing them in positions of influence and power in media, government, finance and academia."

Without Soros' money, would Saul Alinsky's Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960's radicals?

America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros . Soros has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America and his puppet, Barack Obama is leading the way.

The words of Patrick Henry are so appropriate: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

An Excellent Insight on How to Protest Effectively and Safely!

Fellow Patriots, this past week many or our members and our groups, for the first time since our movement began, actually faced hostile crowds in numbers significantly larger than we could muster. This was a new learning experience for most of us and, as you will see, it was not a pleasant experience. After a rally in Youngstown on Thursday, February 24, 2011, it became clear to me that, though our groups and members were learning from our experience, we were not doing a good job of sharing that experience, and as a result we were unknowingly and unnecessarily putting our members in harms way. Which is why I am writing this essay for you to read.

Many of you are familiar with the book “Rules for Radicals” by Saul D. Alinsky, and if you have not read it, you should get a copy and read it now. It will make you sick. I had to actually stop and put it down several times because what Alinsky endorses is so disgusting and so demeaning that it is hard to believe anyone could stoop so low to win power. But that is the point of the book and that is why you need to read it. We must know our enemies and their tactics; and what you will learn from Alinsky is that there is nothing the left will not do to beat you and take power. Nothing. With that introduction, I am going to proceed to show you the “Saul Alinsky tactics” that were employed against the TEA Party and Patriot groups in Columbus on February 17th, in Canton on Tuesday, February 22nd, and in Youngstown on Thursday, February 24th, in an effort to intimidate us and our legislators and defeat Senate Bill 5.

Columbus – Thursday, February 17, 2011

First of all, the unions knew about Senate Bill 5 before any of us had even heard of it. The result was that they had 800 members in the Senate gallery during the first day of hearings, literally booing at the testimony and trying to intimidate senators, while we had no representation. This was a tactical error by our representatives which caused them to loose the moral high ground in the first two hours of the fight. The union message dominated the local news, and pictures of hundreds of union members in yellow shirts were on the front page of every newspaper and on every TV. Immediately, the senators and the governor were on the defensive and their logical message of fiscal responsibility was being drowned out by emotional messages of citizens turning their backs on “police and firefighters who face gunfire and run into burning buildings” and “going to war against ‘middle class workers’.” These are examples of standard Akinsky tactics. First create a powerful image by having them all wear the same colored shirts, use force to interrupt the hearings by booing the presenters, go door-to-door in the Senate to remind Senators that you have the resources to help or hurt them in the future, then come out with an emotional message that divides your opponents by class or other categories. The message to our Republican leaders: the left destroyed you on day one.

Now the conservatives were on the defensive, thanks to the ineptness of our elected leaders. Patriot groups put together a response, which was to get to Columbus as soon as we could to show that we supported the elimination of collective bargaining and binding arbitration for government employees. Across the state, Patriot group leaders began to organize a trip to Columbus on Thursday, February 17th. The Portage County TEA Party took two buses to Columbus that day; and we knew that we would most likely be outnumbered, and that we would come in direct contact for the first time with the SEIU and the government employee unions. In an effort to make sure that we could identify ourselves, all the groups in Ohio had decided in advance that we would wear red shirts or jackets. During the previous hearings, the SEIU members had worn purple and the other unions had worn yellow. We had also decided to get to Columbus early, because at the Tuesday hearings, the unions had gotten there two hours ahead of time and taken all the seats.

When we got to the State House at around 8:00 AM for the hearings that were scheduled to start at 10:00 AM, there were only a handful of Patriots on the steps outside the building. There were no union people to be seen. There was a PA system setup playing music, which at first we thought were to be used for our planned rally. Several Ohio Liberty Council (OLC) leaders were on the steps, and Americans for Prosperity members were handing out red “Ohio 180” shirts to anyone who wasn’t wearing red and wanted one. Our members went to the door to see if they could go into the State House, but were told by security that they were not allowed in because there was no room. We were confused, because we had been told several days before that they were moving the hearings to a bigger room because they were expecting a big crowd. Then we were told that they did move the hearings to a new room, but that was because they had 50 people testifying and needed the bigger room to hold them. We stayed outside.

At about 9:00 AM, there was still no sign of any union members. The number of Patriots had grown to about 700 outside on the State House steps and we were kind of waiting to hold a brief rally before trying to get inside to hear the hearings.Then, right on cue, we saw a line of at least several hundred union members, mostly police and fire, walking in line, four across like an army, approaching from the northwest corner of the grounds right towards us and the steps of the State House. You could clearly tell that this was staged to try and intimidate us. We stood there watching as they drew closer, wondering what would happen when they reached the steps. None of them were wearing colored shirts, they were wearing what looked like uniforms.

To our amazement, when they got to the steps, the doors to the State House opened up and they walked right between us, in formation, and walked right inside – after we had been standing outside for at least an hour waiting to get inside. After we had been told we could not go inside. Remember a year ago when Nancy Pelosi, flanked by every black democrat they could muster, walked through the TEA Party protestors defiantly with her gavel trying to provoke an incident on their way to sign the health care bill? This was an instant replay.

What was going on here? Well this is when we were personally introduced to the first two Saul Alinsky tactics. You see, since the police and firefighter unions were protesting Senate Bill 5, there were lots of official-looking people walking around who were not officials. The people who had told our members that we could not go into the State House because there was no room were not officials at the State House at all. They we union members taking advantage of our lack of experience with their tactics. This was pure theater. The planted people at the door to make us think we could not go in, for the express purpose of exposing us to what they hoped would be an intimidating show of force when they used their little parade to March right through us. It was actually funny to watch it unfold because it was all so phony.

So, after they went inside, our people decided that we would have our rally. However, we were told that since we did not have a permit, we could not use the steps for our rally. That is when we found out that the PA system on the steps was not for us. Those speakers were so we could listen to the hearings outside. We were told that if we wanted to have a rally we could not be on the State House property, we had to go out on the sidewalk. So, 700 of us walked out to the street and used a small portable PA system to hear several speakers for about 15 minutes. When that was done, we didn’t really know what to do, so we decided that we would just march up the stairs and see what was inside.

When we got to the door, there was no one to stop us from coming in, so we walked into the Rotunda, which by definition is a big round room. As we walked across the room and came out the other side, there was a set of stairs that led down to a room where chairs had been set up for people to listen to the hearings. Those chairs were already filled with about 2,000 union members. Union members wearing red shirts. That was Alinsky tactic number 3. By them wearing red shirts, while we were wearing red shirts, you could not tell how many of us there were because they were in the majority. It minimized us. It also caused media confusion as I later saw video footage on Fox showing “union members protesting Senate Bill 5” when there were pictures of our members yelling in support of Senate Bill 5. That was no accident.

Then the fun began. We were stopped a by the police at the top of the stairs and told we could not go further because the room was full. When I looked behind us, I could see union members coming up from the sides of the rotunda and circling in behind our group. In a minute, we were surrounded. They had cut off the way back while the way forward was blocked. This is when the intimidation began. Very large men started to “accidentally” bump into our members, including women. Trying to provoke an incident. When that did not work, they started cursing at us and putting signs about an inch from our faces, again trying to provoke an incident. To our credit, our Patriots did not take the bait. Our people were not intimidated and we stood our ground.

So then they started to push in tighter and started to chant, “Kill the bill!” in an effort to confine our space and movement. This makes people nervous. More Alinsky tactics. At first we just listened to the chants. Then we started to chant, “Keep 5 alive!” and went toe-to-toe with them for about an hour. The sound echoed off the Rotunda ceiling and walls. There were some heated moments, all instigated by the union members, but everyone managed to keep in control. It was a thing of beauty watching one of our 65-year-old, 5’1” ladies, being confronted by three 6’4”, 30-year-old firemen, who looked like all they did was lift weights, and she was giving them what for!

Every union member appeared to be quoting from a script someone had written for them to memorize. Another Alinsky tactic, stay on message. As our free-thinking American members started to ask them questions and ask them to explain their positions, we quickly found that they had no idea what Senate Bill 5 was about or what they were talking about. They had no logic, just anger, and wrongful, ill-informed anger at that. Our group spent the next four hours talking to these union members and trying to get them to understand that we are out of money and if they don’t support some kind of change, many more of them are going to lose their jobs. The best part was when we talked to teachers and asked them what they were doing here during a school day, and they told us that the “Democratic Party” had paid their way. They were not kidding. Every union was being paid to be there.

Things really got pathetic in the big Atrium where all the union members were sitting. Believe it or not, they actually had grown men and women in the big room acting as “cheerleaders” for the union members. As the audio from the hearing rooms played in the room, they would actually have to tell the union members when to cheer and when to boo! It was really depressing to regular citizens to watch people we are told are professionals, like teachers and police and firemen, being led around the State House like a bunch of 5-year-olds on a field trip to the zoo. Very demeaning for them. We all left that day just sick of all the union tactics and disturbed by what we had seen.

However, despite all the Alinsky tactics, we felt that our band of 700 had won the day. First of all, their members were intimidated by our presence. Rarely have they ever faced any opposition when they were on strike or holding some sort of protest. You could see it in their eyes when they looked at us and saw calm, reasonable people who looked like their parents or grandparents, who were standing against them. It raised doubt in their minds. They witnessed the abusive behavior by some of their members and knew that our Patriots held the moral high ground. On a personal level, many of them were questioning what they were doing there that day and some expressed that to our members on a personal level.

We certainly won the day in the media, because we were the story, not the unions. The fact that regular citizens would take a day off from work and pay their own way to come to Columbus to show both the unions and our government officials that it’s our money and we were determined to have a say in how it was spent, was news. The media also reacted to the contrast between our calm positive message of trying to find a solution to our financial problems, and the union intimidation tactics and hate speech. Patriot leaders and our group members were on every media outlet in the state with with a consistent message.

Finally, we did win the day in the minds of some Senators who needed to see with their own eyes that the Patriot movement was not all talk and no action. Two Senators committed to support the bill after our visit.

Lessons Learned in Columbus:

Our leaders should have had better communications with actual security officials at the State House and made arrangements for our group’s visit. Where do they want us to be, what is their plan to keep the groups apart, and what is the procedure in an emergency? For instance, I should have immediately upon arrival gone to the chief of security and held a meeting before doing anything.

Make people in authority prove they have that authority before believing them.

Stay calm at all times and keep your group together. If we would have reacted to the intimidation, it would have been a slaughter. Though if you read Alinsky’s book, he would have said we should have had a little 80-year-old woman spit in the most aggressive union member’s face in an effort to get him to beat the heck out of her so we could create an incident to show how brutal they are. Hey, so you sacrifice one of your members to win – that is what the left is about – winning at any cost.

Wear bright-colored shirts of all colors so that they cannot absorb us, while also breaking up their numbers. We are the un-colors, we are the rainbow, we are every color but them. Note however, if you are in the majority, you should wear consistent colors, because it does project force.

Before you do anything, get your group organized. Assign people to watch your back and flanks and set up a method of communication. Maintain a route out of your location at all times.

Don’t get into shouting matches when you are outnumbered 4 to one. Use signs to get your point across, signs never lose their voice like people do.

Have chants ready beforehand and let everyone know what they will be. It is to difficult to think of them on the fly and then communicate them.

Canton, OH – Tuesday, February 22, 2011

After the experience in Columbus, we were looking for ways to be more effective. We then heard that the unions had decided to implement another Alinsky tactic and start protesting Governor Kasich everywhere he went in an effort to scare people away from meeting with him. As Glenn Beck says, “Isolate them, then destroy them.” So, the Governor was going to speak to the Chamber of Commerce in Canton. We decided we could be more effective at these local meetings as opposed to going to Columbus again. Stark 9.12 led the effort, supported by the Portage County TEA Party and the Summit 9.12 groups. When we arrived on the scene, at 4:30 PM on a Tuesday, it was clear the union people had been in position for a long time.

Having been to Columbus, I immediately went straight up to the ranking Swat officer and introduced myself as one of the leaders of the group. I had my Portage County name tag with my title clearly displayed and I was wearing a Portage County TEA Party hat. I said to him, “Our goal is to make sure that there are no incidents at this event today and that everyone gets out of here safely. I want to know where you want our people to stand, so we can keep them apart from the union protestors, and what rules you want us to follow to help your people maintain order.” He was immediately responsive. He said, “That is what I want to hear.” We then proceeded to carve out a space for our Patriots that was protected by barriers with a separation of about eight feet between us and the Union protestors.

Importantly, I had asked him where the Governor and Guests would be coming into the facility with the clear suggestion that we needed a place with “equal” visibility. We ended up in a position flanking the union members, being between them and the entrance to the facility. This was a strategic win for us. Though we were outnumbered 1,500 to 60, our signs got as much or more visibility as all their signs for the guests coming into the facility, who were the audience we were trying to reach – business leaders who we wanted to keep supporting the Governor. Having learned from Columbus, our group had decided to make signs that would speak loudly to the union members so that we did not have to speak loudly. For the first time we had signs that just said, “Air Traffic Controllers” to remind them that if they tried to use strike tactics, the Governor could fire them. We followed that up with signs that said “500,000 unemployed Ohioans would love your job!” This reminded them that they had a pretty good job and that they were replaceable. They did not have signs to counter those key points.

Again, we held our own with the media. Many of you remember how frustrating it would be for us to have hundreds of thousands of our people in Washington protesting the Health Care Bill last year only to have Al Sharpton show up with 500 people and get equal press coverage! Now we were using the same tactic. They had a huge crowd, but the media came to talk to us because we represented the opposite point of view. We received excellent media coverage in Canton, Akron and Cleveland in all mediums. Our people came across as reasonable citizens who did not hate anyone, but understood that we had to make some hard financial decisions. They came across as an unruly mob of angry people with very shallow positions.

The unions had not had physical contact with us in this location and could not surround us. We had a clear path out if we needed to use it, and because we had coordinated with the police and Swat units, they were keeping their part of the bargain. Unlike Columbus, when union members tried to come into our space, they were escorted away by the police immediately. When they tried to push out in front of our area to block our signs and flank us, we got the police to move the barriers out to protect our space. All they had left were verbal assaults, and we just pointed to our signs and said nothing, though some of our members occasionally could not take it anymore and fired back a few verbal retorts. We held our ground and made our points.

We then noticed that from where we were located, if we moved to one corner of our area, there was a huge concrete ceiling that spanned two streets between the two buildings of the Civic Center. All the guests were driving on the road right past us to the parking area, while others were walking outside, from the one building to the other to hear the Governor’s speech. We made sure to point out, “We support Governor Kasich!” and “We support SB 5!” signs to every car and every group walking between the buildings. We then started chanting, “Keep 5 Alive!” and because of the overhang, our chants echoed between the building and gave our 60-member group a voice as loud as the mob that was outside the underhang. This gave us an ability to impact the guests despite our small numbers, and many of them gave us thumbs up signs for our support.

As soon as we saw the TV crews take down their equipment and head into the building, we knew that the Governor was inside and getting ready for his press conference. That was my cue to reach out to the head Swat officer again and discuss our exit strategy. We decided that we would start leaving a few at a time in order not to bring attention to our exit going away from the crowd in a way that they could stop anyone from following us. Most of us were gone before the union protestors knew what was happening. Everyone stuck together and got out safely. It was a successful protest.

We did get to witness some new Alinsky tactics as giant snow plows that were driven by government workers circled around the Civic Center no less than five times blowing their horns to get the crowd fired up. We had heard that they had done the same thing with firetrucks in Columbus. Many of our members mentioned to the media how wrong it was that the union was using public equipment, which we had paid for, and union drivers, who were on the clock to participate in this protest. We understand that the drivers of the trucks are now up on disciplinary charges for their participation Alinsky would be proud of them. It is never a problem to break the rules or the law to win the battle.

Lessons Learned in Canton:

Always have your people meet at a safe location away from the protest site so you can get organized before confronting the other side.

Coordinating with the security forces is critical. Without that first step, we would have been subject to the same tactics as we saw in Columbus.

Signs are critical and we must plan ahead and focus on the most effective messages for our signs. We can use them to demoralize the other side. The purpose is not to offend them, which is what most of their signs are designed to do. The purpose is to disarm them.

Signs are for different audiences. Some signs we pointed at the union protestors, different signs were intended for the Governor and his guests, others were for the media. Let your people know which signs are for whom and make sure they point them in the right direction.

If you don’t have verbal superiority, don’t get into a shouting match. It only feeds their sense of superiority. If we did not have the overhang to help amplify our chants, we would not have said anything. The overhang gave us an edge and we used it. Take that Alinsky!

Don’t just plan your entrance, take time to plan your exit. I spent a good deal of thought looking at the environment before approaching the officers about our exit strategy. We then called everyone together and explained what we were going to do and asked them to follow it. Remember, once you commit to a plan with the police, you must stick to it, or they will not back you up.

Talk among yourselves during the protest to see what the media are asking and what points we want to make. Share that with others in the group. Put people who are articulate at the point where the media is most likely to approach them.

Police your own ranks. If someone is getting offended by the verbal abuse, move them to the back and shield them from the crowd. Get a sign between them and the abusers.

Video tape everything that makes the other side look bad and put it on your website.

Youngstown, OH – Thursday, February 24, 2011

The Youngstown area is UNION with all capital letters. Anita Fraser, President of the Tri-County TEA Party in Youngstown was taking the lead on this event because it was in her home area. She is a tough, savy person who understands the tough politics of “the valley”, but she did not attend the Columbus or Canton events and thus did not have the benefit of what has been discussed so far in this essay. Governor Kasich was scheduled to meet with the Youngstown area Chamber of Commerce at a local restaurant in Warren on the 24th, and she sent a message out to her members and surrounding groups to send people to support the Governor. Perhaps because of the experience in Canton two days earlier, someone decided to move the Kasich visit from a local restaurant to a hanger at the Youngstown Airport. This caused a lot of confusion for our groups because we had less than 24 hours notice of the change. I am sure that some of our people did not get the message and never got to the right location.

Those TEA Party people that did get to the airport were met by people who told them that, “Anita Frasier told us to tell you it was not safe and you should go home.” So they did. Anita found this out when she got to the airport herself and they told her, “Anita Frasier told us to tell you it was not safe and you should go home,” and she said, “I’m Anita Frasier,” and they just laughed and took off. She ended up with less than 20 people surrounded by over a thousand, as she described them, “animals.” Until Anita told me this, I did not understand that they had used the same tactics on us in Columbus when they told us we could not go into the State House.  (LIES)

As Anita tried to find a place for those few Patriots who did managed to get to the hangar, they were immediately surrounded and faced the most vicious verbal abuse imaginable. Anita Frasier is no prude by any stretch of the imagination, but she told me that she heard new insults that she had never heard before in her life. The State Police were in charge of security and they did not protect Anita or her people. She said at least twenty men came past her and intentionally bumped into her shoulders until her arms were aching. At one point men with axe handles or big sticks came toward the group, and when they did, all the state troopers disappeared. The guys just stood in front of them waving the axe handles. When one guy with the axe handles approached Anita, she was with a woman news reporter who just ran away and never reported what she had seen.

After the event Anita found two of the state troopers and asked them where they went and they said they were watching from a distance and that they were sorry it had gotten so bad. The Patriots were harassed all the way back to their cars. As Anita told me, she just could not wait to get out of there, and she never wants to ever be in that position again. Which is also why I am writing this essay to my fellow Patriots, because I never want any of you to ever be in this position.

Lessons Learned from Youngstown:

We needed to meet at a location away from the Airport first and then go to the airport.

We needed to contact security officials before the event and ask them how they wanted to handle security and what plans they had made to accommodate our group.

We needed to arrive as a group and stick together once we were on site.

We needed to make contact with security immediately upon arrival at the site to find out exactly how they wanted to handle things if the situation changed.

If the situation was such that we could not be effective, we should have called off the protest and implemented another tactic like standing along a road or across a bridge leading to the airport with our signs supporting SB 5, or driving through town for an hour with our Support SB 5 signs in the car windows. We could have gone and protested outside of the newspaper or TV stations in support of SB 5.

We needed to coordinate our exit with the security forces at the site.

Closing Comments:

I sincerely hope that this information will help all Patriots understand who we are fighting against and what tactics they will use to defeat us. Our goal, collectively, is to design strategies that will effectively counter the extreme tactics of the left and keep public opinion supporting the conservative efforts of the representatives we fought so hard to elect last November. Let me be clear, the left has been using these tactics since the 1930’s and our country is in the dire straights it is in because they have been successful. If we do not rise up and meet this challenge today, everything that we have worked for over the past two years will be lost. This is the time for Patriots everywhere to stand up with one voice and say,

“We will not be intimidated, we will not be lied to, we will not have terms dictated to us. This is our money, this is our country, and you all work for us, be you an elected official or a government employee; and you will do what we demand that you do or we will replace you with one of us who will.”
