On the heels of the massive failure of his first "stimulus" package to create jobs, Barack Obama last week announced his latest socialistic approach to government, telling a Cleveland audience that he wants to spend $50 billion on roads, rails and runways.
Like his original package from last year - a $700 billion boondoggle that resulted in virtually no permanent private sector jobs - Obama is apparently willing to send the bill to our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Obama seems to be a one-trick pony, with his only idea for job creation being the spending of more taxpayer dollars, instead of spurring the private sector to grow the economy.

This time, though, even Democrats don't like Obama's latest idea. As the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday:
Ohio Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, the Democrats' candidate for an open Ohio Senate seat, said he wanted a job-creation tax credit. "I also wish we had seen all these proposals much sooner," he said. And Sen. Michael Bennet (D, Colo.), who is locked in a difficult campaign, said Wednesday, "I will not support additional spending in a second stimulus package." "The rollout has not been good," said one Democratic congressional campaign aide, who noted there was little coordination between the White House and congressional leaders on the proposals.
Every leading poll in the country is reporting that Obama's approval ratings are the lowest of his presidency, and dropping. In every survey, more Americans disapprove and approve of Obama's handling of economic issues. Americans across the country are preparing to march to the ballot boxes in November to put a stop to Barack Obama's socialist, spread-the-wealth approach to government. From his disastrous health care package, to his proposed cap and trade scheme, to his latest effort to throw good taxpayer dollars after bad, Obama's attempt to expand government's reach into every corner of American society is being met with a growing and stiff resistance from ordinary citizens in every walk of life.
