FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  IMMIGRATION’S DUALITY

New Bern, NC – ’Immigration’, just the word raises the national blood pressure. Immediately, it conjures up illegal, unsecure borders, even national security. The Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association (CCTA) open meeting at 7PM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Healing Grace Church, 3407 Red Fox Road in Trent Woods will present a program to bring the facts on immigration to the public. Mary Delaney, CCTA member will present “Immigration Past and Present – a Survey”.

As an active member of several groups that currently advise Congress on immigration issues affecting immigration policy, Delaney makes frequent trips to DC. Delaney has studied immigration for over 40 years. As a first generation American and having held management positions in a government agency, she has had a unique vantage point to observe and contribute to US immigration policy.

“Immigration has been completely transformed since my parents came to the US,” states Delaney. “I developed this presentation in order to put the our policy changes into some sort of perspective,” Delaney continues, “and develop a plan that ordinary citizens can utilize to influence immigration policy.”

The program is free and open to the public. Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association (CCTA), a grassroots nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, is dedicated to the protection of taxpayers from unnecessary taxes and to promote efficient, quality, government services. The CCTA strives to serve its members and other taxpayers through research and advocacy on significant taxing and spending issues in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government.

Healing Grace Church is located on Red Fox off of Wedgewood Drive off of Country Club Road. Directions and additional information about the meeting are available at www.cctaxpayers.blogspot.com/ .
