NC House Committee on Immigration

Wednesday, December 7th--Immigration hearing at NC General Assembly, Raleigh, NC ---CCTA member Connie Hanna and I attended this hearing along with many good friends from NC Fire, Forsyth County, Moore Tea, Chatham County and others. It was very informative.

In this first meeting of the NC House Committee on Immigration, we were priveleged to hear Sheriff Terry S. Johnson from Allamance County talk about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (287g) and Sheriff Sam Page of Rockingham County talked about the Secure Communities Program.

The next meeting of this committee will be on January 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm. I urge all of you that can to show up at this next meeting and show and show support for immigration reform and enforcement!

When Connie and I arrived a full 45 minutes before the meeting was scheduled to start--the 'other side' was already packing the hall. The room was standing room only.

Let me tell you, the statistics on crime and illegals were staggering!!! Not to mention the estimated cost of benefits per year to illegal aliens in our state is $2 billion dollars!
