Last fall, in the wake of the 9/11/12 terror attacks in Benghazi, Libya and Cairo, Egypt — the former claiming several American lives — Conservative Action Alerts initiated a campaign demanding Congress to end foreign aid to all non-allied and hostile nations.
At the same time, Conservative Action Alerts ran a parallel campaign to urging the House of Representatives to investigate the Libya attack.
Today we have seen the first fruits of our labor: Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-K.Y.) today issued a “dear colleague” letter to Congressional leadership calling for what we have been asking for for months — an official investigation. (See full text below.)
Momentum is now building again since the Congress has been back in session for a few weeks — old, unresolved battles are again being picked up by our conservative allies in the House and the Senate.
We must continue to urge members of Congress to get to the bottom of the Benghazi cover-up.
