CALL TO ACTION: NC VOTER ID BILL!

Voter fraud is a well-documented reality in American elections. To offer examples, a 2010 state representative race in Kansas City, Mo. was stolen when one candidate, J.J. Rizzo, allegedly received more than 50 votes illegally cast by citizens of Somalia. The Somalis, who didn't speak English, were coached to vote for Mr. Rizzo by an interpreter at the polling place. The margin of victory? One vote.

75% of North Carolinians support our voter ID requirements, yet Governor Perdue again has decided to put politics over the will of North Carolinians. North Carolinians must show an ID to cash a check, to see a doctor and to enter into certain government buildings, yet Governor Perdue and her liberal allies do not think it is important to show one to vote. Why is Governor Perdue scared of verifying someone's identity before his or her vote?

Rasmussen found 85 percent support for photo ID among Republicans, 77 percent support among non-affiliated voters, and even 63 percent support among Democrats. The poll also found, not surprisingly to anyone who understands the American electorate, "support for such a law is high across virtually all demographic groups."

ACTION:

Donna Yowell, our friend with FTTF (Feet to the Fire), has identified the following Democratic Representatives to target with calls and emails to override Governor Perdue's veto of House Bill 351, the Voter Photo ID Bill. The bill will need five Democratic votes to override the Governor's veto.
