Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has been talking about a 22% reduction in the Pentagon budget. Yet, as I reported yesterday, Panetta is also poised to extend a number of costly benefits to the unmarried partners of gay military personnel. At a time when the rest of the military has to cut their budgets, Panetta wants to spend more money to reward the sinful lifestyles of homosexual members of the military. But mind you, the same benefits are NOT being extended to the unmarried partners of heterosexual military personnel.

So how bad are the military budget cuts that will help to pay for those discriminatory benefits? Part of that budget reduction involves the decrease in the number of military personnel serving our country.

The Marine Corp stands to lose 15,200 from its active and reserve ranks. The Army and Army National Guard will be losing 67,100 soldiers while the Navy reduces its staff by 8,600 and the Air Force by 1,700 for a grand total of 82,600. The plan is supposed to help reduce the Pentagon budget by $487 billion dollars over the next ten years.

NC Marriage Protection Amendment

Vote For Marriage On May 8--Placing the Marriage Amendment in the North Carolina Constitution will keep the courts and legislature from redefining marriage. District Attorneys Refute Deceptive Ads--As the battle over the Marriage Protection Amendment heats up during the last week before the May 8 primary, homosexual advocacy groups are desperately resorting to scare tactics in their efforts to defeat the proposed Constitutional amendment that would protect the institution of marriage in North Carolina as between one man and one woman .

These tactics include a new 30-second ad that erroneously claims that the Marriage Protection Amendment could potentially interfere with legal protections for unmarried domestic violence victims in the state. The ad features Wake County Assistant District Attorney Amily McCool pointing to pictures of female domestic violence victims that she pulls from a large stack of case folders on her desk. “Amendment one could take away protections for domestic violence victims," she claims.

These claims were refuted yesterday by a coalition of law enforcement officials, district attorneys and family law attorneys who responded in a joint statement that, “the proposed amendment will not impact legal protections against domestic violence for unmarried women and others.” The statement, which was released at a May 1 press conference at the General Assembly, includes the signatures over a dozen individuals from the law enforcement and legal community in North Carolina, including several current and former District Attorneys, a former Superior Court judge, and two sheriffs.

Liberal media forces homosexuality agenda down America's throat

Please, please, please understand, as we said in the 60s, where I'm coming from." This article is NOT about bashing homosexuals. I have homosexual family members and friends whom I love very much.


However, I found David Gregory's attack on Michele Bachmann for comments she made regarding homosexuality to be extremely disturbing and offensive. Bachmann is a Christian and simply compassionately espoused the biblical point of view.

Just as Muslims live by the Quran, Christians strive to live by the Bible. Here are a few Bible quotes about homosexuality:

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act;..."

Rom. 1:26-27, "...for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts...."

Whether you agree with the Bible or not is irrelevant. My point is Bachmann did not "make up" her take on homosexuality. It came from a holy book considered sacred by mega-millions worldwide.

So, when Gregory beat up on Bachmann, he was really attacking Christians and the Bible. But most disturbing was Gregory's arrogant bullying and implicit threat to all who disagree.

In effect, he announced: We, the media, have declared homosexuality normal — period, end of subject. Anyone of you Neanderthals daring to suggest otherwise will suffer the consequences.

Would Gregory have been so aggressive interviewing a Muslim presidential candidate about his beliefs? I suspect not.

Most Americans accept homosexuals and are repulsed by anyone abusing them. However, America's acceptance of homosexuals is not good enough for the left. The left wish to bend our arms behind our backs until we cry "uncle," proclaiming homosexuality to be normal.

Even home improvement and cooking TV programs feature a high number of homosexual couples disproportionate to the population. Clearly, many TV producers have an agenda to normalize the homosexual lifestyle.

My dad has been in Christian ministry as a pastor for 50 years. Dad said he is being pressured to embrace the Gospel of Homosexuality. He added, "Those of us who disagree are being pushed into the closet."

Has the left won? Are we afraid to quote the Bible's rebuke of homosexuality?

Think about this, folks. According to the left, if you disapprove of men sodomizing each other and women performing cunnilingus on each other, not only are you a "hater," you are deemed mentally ill — diagnosed as homophobic and in need of treatment.

During his Bachmann interview, Gregory kept referring to homosexuals as "Gay Americans" in an attempt to make disapproval of a "sexual behavior" the same as discriminating against an ethnic group — African, Hispanic, and other Americans. The left reinforces the theme, calling opposition to the homosexual agenda "bigotry."

Black Civil Rights groups are offended by the left's comparing their struggle to that of homosexuals.

I state again, "I have homosexual family members and friends whom I love very much." However, loving them does not mean I must submit to dictatorial pressure from the media to embrace the homosexual lifestyle as being normal.

To get their way, the left always distorts the discord, portraying all opposition to equal the extreme evil.

For example, Americans welcome "legal" immigrants with open arms. We oppose "illegal" immigration and all the crime and stress on our welfare system which comes with it. The left brands anyone seeking to protect our borders extremist, anti-immigration, and racist.

If you believe elementary kids should not be forced to celebrate Gay Pride Day and not be encouraged to experiment with homosexuality, the left numbers you among the minority of nut cases seeking to harm homosexuals.

Regardless of the issue, the left — their liberal media enforcers — slanders the opposition, painting them to be haters and extremists. Former Obama supporters turned off by his unfolding socialistic agenda are suddenly "redneck racists against a black president."

Patriots, I realize all of you are not Christians and my purpose is not to force my faith on anyone. This article is not about whether homosexuality is right or wrong. It is about the liberal media throwing down the gauntlet, saying, "Hey, you Christians had better get with the program regarding the normalcy of homosexuality, or else!"

The liberal media's usurping of ultimate authority to enforce their "ultimate consensus" on an issue, destroying anyone who dares think otherwise, is a serious assault on our freedom.

Family groups horrified by mandatory 'gender' classes for children

Pro-family organizations across the nation are expressing shock and alarm over a new wave of homosexual indoctrination developing in public schools – especially in California – where parents are not even given the option of withdrawing their kids from the mandatory lessons on being "gay" or more.

"Young children are being taught that they can choose to be a boy or a girl – or both," said officials at Mass Resistance, one of the leading organizations across the country defending the fact that students are boys or girls.

"Boys, for example, should be comfortable wearing girls' clothes and nail polish, etc. And there aren't just two genders, there can be a range. And, of course, the school does not allow parents to opt their kids out," the organization said.

It was citing the work of an elementary school in Oakland, where officials allowed an outside advocacy organization, Gender Spectrum, to tell young students that sexuality is what they want it to be, not necessarily what nature endowed them to be.

A Fox News report on the issue said the school officials defended their actions by explaining that all student "behaviors" have to be accepted and reinforced.

Baloney, said Brad Dacus, of Pacific Justice Institute. He said such indoctrination just creates gender "confusion" for young children.

Officials with SaveCalifornia.com also have been highlighting the egregious results when mandatory gender lessons are adopted by public schools.

The organization's president, Randy Thomasson, is concerned because of previous mandatory teaching standards adopted in California, as well as pending legislation that would require profiling as role models lesbians, homosexuals and those with other alternative sexual lifestyle choices.

His organization has published a resource page for links to answers on questions such as, "Is there a 'gay gene'?" and "Is homosexual healthy?"

Thomasson has reported that there have been developing significant issues over the state's legally recommended recognition of "Harvey Milk Day," too. Milk was an openly homosexual elected official.

1/21/2011 For decades, liberals have been playing upon people’s emotions by exploiting human tragedy for political gain. In recent months, that tendency has become more pronounced. Their attempt to use the suicides of eight confused young men to advance the homosexual agenda was disgraceful. Then there was the more recent attempt to use the Tucson shooting to advance a gun control agenda that will ultimately increase homicide and other crimes of violence. I think the time has come for conservatives to start making better use of tragedy for political gain.

There can be no better starting place for the exploitation of tragedy than the case of Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Just Wednesday, he was charged with murder. He stands accused of delivering seven babies and then using scissors to kill each one of them. He was also charged with murder in the death of a woman who suffered an overdose of painkillers while awaiting an abortion.

The grand jury report in this case contains details that would make Margaret Sanger proud. The evidence indicates that numerous complaints about the conditions at Gosnell's clinic were ignored. His clinic catered to West Philadelphia’s poor minorities – the kind of people Sanger referred to as human weeds that should be removed from the population.

Darwin proclaimed “survival of the fittest.” Sanger promoted survival of the whitest and survival of the richest. She would have been proud to learn that white women from the suburbs were ushered into a separate, slightly cleaner area of his clinic. Prosecutors allege that this was because Gosnell believed they were more likely to file complaints.

Kermit Gosnell was not the only one arrested and charged with numerous counts of murder. His wife was a cosmetologist who was supposed to cut hair. The allegation is that she cut babies instead.

Every crime has a motive and prosecutors have a motive in this case. It was money. Gosnell made millions of dollars performing thousands of dangerous abortions, many of them illegal late-term procedures. He is alleged to have cut costs by refusing to hire nurses and trained medical staff.

The abortions are alleged to have been “unsafe.” Of course abortions are never safe. There is one killed and one wounded in every case of abortion. Now the court must decide whether the abortions were legal. Since it appears that at least two women died from the procedures, while others suffered perforated bowels, cervixes and uteruses, the case seems ripe for a plea bargain. But prosecutors should resist the temptation. They should seek the maximum penalty in a televised trial.

Prosecutors have noted that Gosnell induced labor, then forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, and eighth months of pregnancy. He then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord. According to prosecutors, Gosnell referred to it as "snipping.” One problem for prosecutors is that Gosnell seems to have destroyed many of his medical files. That is not surprising. Abortion doctors do not keep their Hippocratic oaths. Why should they be expected to keep their records?

There appears to be a certain Hannibal Lecter quality to this case. Authorities have found bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses scattered throughout the offices of Kermit Gosnell. There were jars found containing severed feet that were kept for no apparent purpose. They were the kinds of trophies which, had they not been human, would have aroused the ire of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). But these were not people’s pets. They were people’s mistakes. They deserved no ethical treatment in the eyes of some.

Prosecutors in the Gosnell case have also alleged that he falsified ultrasound examinations and taught his staff to hold the probe in such a way that the fetus would look smaller. He is alleged to have joked with his staff saying one (fetus) was so large he could "walk me to the bus stop.”

How did Kermit Gosnell pass the annual inspections of his clinic, which opened in 1979? It was actually pretty easy since there have only been five inspections since 1979 and none since 1993.

Some defenders of abortion will point out that – although he earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University – Gosnell started, but did not finish, a residency in obstetrics-gynecology. Some have already said that he does not know how to perform an abortion without risking killing someone. That trite observation ignores the obvious: No one has ever performed an abortion without actually killing someone.

In the wake of the Tucson shooting some have argued that we should limit semi-automatic handgun magazine capacity to ten. I think we should consider limiting abortion clinic waiting room capacity to ten. Or maybe we should have a seven-day cooling down period for those who have a passion for performing abortions.

However we decide to exploit this tragedy, the conservative slogan is fairly obvious: “Guns don’t kill people. Abortion doctors kill people.” We need to start printing tee shirts now.

The Rest of the Story on PFC Manning that you didn't hear on the news!

The mainstream media in USA has had this buried so deep they thought it would never see the light of day. The treasonous soldier who leaked a quarter million secret documents to the internet is a gay activist who is angry with the US military for proscribing overt homosexual behavior. To vent his anger it appears he conspired with Julian Assange to destroy the entire United States of America at worst or severely impair its ability to navigate the present minefield of world politics at the least. In any event it is likely that his fit of picque will likely cause US service members death and dismemberment. Prior to this event I had no particular strong opinions one way or the other regarding DADT. I certainly do now.

Another example of what the media doesn’t report… the story, behind the story. And again, the government got it wrong...What the media leaves out: Army staffer who leaked thousands of documents to WikiLeaks website is homosexual activist - angry at ban on gays in military.

The US Army intelligence analyst who has been arrested for disclosing more than more than 90,000 intelligence reports and more than 150,000 diplomatic cables to the Wikileaks website is a homosexual activist enraged at the military's "anti-gay" policies.

The massive publication of top-secret documents has been called one of the greatest security breeches in US history and has reportedly endangered the lives of US personnel around the world.

Bradley Manning, who is now awaiting court-marshal at a military stockade in Quantico, VA, was arrested last May for giving a classified video to the Wikileaks website, and later it became clear that he had given them thousands of other military documents. He is an open homosexual, and his anger at the military's rejection of homosexuality appears to be the major reason for his actions.

While in the Army, Manning has openly participated in gay rights marches, even publicly demonstrating against the military. In addition:

His Facebook page reportedly included a photo of him marching in a gay pride parade. His big interest was to "Repeal the Ban" on homosexuals serving openly in the military. He proclaimed his support for the National Center for Transgender Equality. He also talked about going to gay bars.

According to newspaper reports, he was prone to fits of rage. At one point Manning was demoted for assaulting an officer. He also wore custom dog tags labeling himself as "Humanist" (as his religious affiliation). And like many male homosexuals, Manning reportedly had a terrible relationship with his father, who had also been in the military and was divorced from his mother.

Manning was very upset over a breakup earlier this year with his homosexual lover, a student at Brandeis University who according to the New York Times described himself on his blog as a "drag queen."

The Montreal Gazette reported that "Manning could 'identify' with Iraqis and Afghans who he believed had suffered as a result of U.S. policies, especially because he himself was a "a member of a minority" treated unfairly by the military."

Manning said he spent 14-hour days copying the classified documents to send to the Wikileaks website.

As the Montreal Gazette reported,

Private Manning described how he downloaded the video and lip-synched to Lady Gaga as he copied hundreds of thousand of diplomatic cables.

"Hillary Clinton and several thousand diplomats around the world are going to have a heart attack," he boasted. But even as he professed a perhaps inflated sense of purpose, he called himself "emotionally fractured" and a "wreck" and said he was "self-medicating like crazy."

Not surprisingly, Manning has since been applauded on homosexual blogs and websites across the country.

General media blackout on Manning's "gay" issue

Except for a few newspaper accounts, the mainstream media in the US has completely ignored any "gay" aspect to this story, and especially his anti-military homosexual activism. To our knowledge, none of the major TV or cable network news programs have discussed it. Though Glen Beck did mention that "he was jilted by a boyfriend or something." (That's the same Glenn Beck who doesn't have a problem with homosexuality.)

For example, on Monday The Atlantic posted an article, "WikiLeaks: One Analyst, So Many Documents". It discusses Manning in some detail, but simply describes him as "a disaffected young man".

It's pretty strange, to say the least. One wonders what else the media refuse to report.

Army ignored its own policy…

Ironically, a major issue with the Manning case is that the Army was ignoring its own policy on homosexuals serving openly.

Jonah Knox (a pseudonym used by a US Army analyst) points this out in a great article on the Accuracy in Media website this week:

Army regulation restricts leaders from determining (officially) if a soldier is a homosexual and therefore someone who should be discharged. For instance, AR 600-20, Paragraph 4-19, Subparagraph d(3) ("Noncredible information") details instances that are not considered grounds for Army leaders to open an inquiry to determine whether someone is a homosexual and therefore should be discharged. The Army regulation states that "noncredible information" includes, "The only information known is an associational activity, such as going to a gay bar, possessing or reading homosexual publications, associating with known homosexuals, or marching in a gay rights rally in civilian clothes."

In Manning's case, he had a Facebook page devoted to homosexual causes that included a photo of him marching in a gay pride parade. His associates said he went to gay bars and he talked openly about his homosexuality to others. Several have said that he was angry with the military because of the failure to repeal the homosexual exclusion policy. Incredibly, however, the Army may not have considered any of the credible evidence that he was a homosexual.

It is true that Army regulations on homosexuality create a lot of confusion. And that may be intentional based on current Department of Defense policy. The Center for Military Readiness (CMR) says this in its analysis of current Department of Defense policy.

In other words, had the Army been following the law (rather than the Clinton "Don't Ask" policy regulations), this would not have happened.

Incident reiterates reasons for excluding homosexuals from military

Most public health organizations (including the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health) have observed that homosexuals are far more susceptible to mental illness, alcoholism, drug abuse, and violence than the general population.


The inherent emotional weakness and moral instability of people involved in homosexual behaviors and its resulting possible damage to the military have been documented going back over 100 years.

Legislation (H.R. 1283) has been introduced in the 111th Congress to repeal the 1993 statute regarding homosexuals in the military, Section 654, Title 10, U.S.C., which is frequently mislabeled “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” In anticipation of this action, a number of retired flag and general officers decided that it would be important to show support for this law, which was written to protect unit cohesion and morale in our military.

Congress approved the statute in 1993 with bipartisan, veto-proof majorities in both houses, and federal courts have upheld it as constitutional several times.

We believe firmly that this law deserves continued support.

This is a list of 1,163 distinguished retired military leaders from all branches of the service who have shown their support for the 1993 law with personal signatures requested and received by regular mail. The list (as of February 2010) includes two former Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, several Service Chiefs, a number of combatant command, theater, and other major U.S. and allied force commanders, together with two Medal of Honor recipients and hundreds of retired flag and general officers who have led the men and women of our armed services at every echelon, in both peace and war, past and present:

As our Statement to the President and Members of Congress affirms, we consider this issue
to be a matter of national security:

"Our past experience as military leaders leads us to be greatly concerned about the impact of repeal [of the law] on morale, discipline, unit cohesion, and overall military readiness. We believe that imposing this burden on our men and women in uniform would undermine recruiting and retention, impact leadership at all levels, have adverse effects on the willingness of parents who lend their sons and daughters to military service, and eventually break the All-Volunteer Force."

Retired officers who initiated this independent Flag and General Officers for the Military project appreciate the support of those who responded with good wishes and more than 1,000 personal signatures. We trust that the presentation of these signatures to the President and Members of Congress will encourage serious, responsible debate on the consequences of repealing the 1993 law.

This is one of two  itmes that Harry Reid has burine in the Defense Appropriations Bill.  Debate is scheduled for Tuesday on the Senate floor. One "extraneous measure" is the DREAM Act, a piece of legislation aimed at giving alien minors who meet certain requirements, like higher education and military service, a pathway to citizenship (AMNESTY). Sen. Reid announced earlier this week his intention to attach it to the authorization bill.


The second is to include the repeal of the military policy, “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”. The repeal means unrestrained rights for homosexuals to participate in, benefit from, and continue their perverted lifestyle in the military.

Why "Blacks" and "Latinos" Would Want To Vote Conservative

(I put “Blacks” and “Latinos” in quotes because it feels disrespectful … and it’s actually racist, divisive and un-American … to identify people by the color of their skin. But for the purpose of statistical analysis and identifying a racist problem in our country, I’ll use those terms here.)


How is it possible that two groups who have historical legacies of being religious could vote in elections overwhelmingly for the political party that promotes and legalizes “sin” (homosexuality, abortion, taking God out of the mainstream, etc.) – the Democrats? Blacks have consistently voted in the 90% range for Democrats, and Latinos have voted in the 60-70% range.

The answer to this question can be found in a great statement made recently by Glenn Beck. He said, “When somebody has an agenda, they don’t want to hear the truth.” That is, they let their dominant agenda trump any other agenda they might have. In this case, blacks and Latinos are letting their racial identity trump their religious identity. He also said that when this is the case, the more radical are even sometimes given to “lying, stealing and cheating” to advance their agenda. (More “sins”.) And if someone isn’t representing the truth, they automatically are in lies (untruths).

Some of the groups that have at least some agendas and ideologies not based on truth would be: liberals, racists, feminists, hedonists, homosexuals, environmentalists, political parties, various religions/denominations, secularists, various addictions – including blind addiction to happiness and pleasure, and various personal agendas that aren’t in harmony with nature as designed by its Creator.

A problem with people who have agendas (as the Glenn Beck quote stated) is that they are hard to reason with because based on the tenets of their agenda, they allow a blind, knee-jerk, lock step loyalty to those tenets to overrule their ability to reason, as they just parrot the sound bites of those tenets. And the fact that they often use name-calling and emotion to push those sound bites and silence their opponents implicitly says that they don’t have enough confidence in the tenets of the agenda or ideology that they are aligning with to be able to calmly and intelligently present and defend them.

The particular focus here in this writing is a focus on two groups (“blacks” and “Latinos”) whose self-proclaimed leaders and people who find their primary identity in them have generally statistically adhered to certain agendas, one of which is: voting for Democrats. Also included in this focus are the liberals (and especially the radical ones) who have used these groups to promote the liberal agenda.

By the way, as a side note, if the “racist” accusation is going to be loosely thrown around (as is being done these days), it needs to be recognized that the groups who are most guilty of doing this are the finger pointers of racism: liberals and blacks. And that conclusion is based on the very definition of racism … which is a violation of Dr. Martin Luther King’s definition, which is: noticing the color of a person’s skin instead of noticing their individual character. And in a truly color blind society, a person’s race never needs to be mentioned or addressed, (unless it is done in a positive way … that is, mentioning the positive contributions to humankind in general that have come out of various cultures …for example, I love Mexican food and some of the music that has come out of black religious traditions).

So, if the above-mentioned groups have agendas that have tenets that are not within THE truth … what is THE truth? The basic truth behind this life and its mysteries is that there is a Creator of it and that Creator gave us the Bible as a direct communication to let us know what the mysteries behind this life are, what the optimum ways to approach life are, and what determines our destinies (both eternal and here on Earth). That conclusion has been proven to be true in the book THE PROOF that God exists and the Bible is true.

In that book are cited many examples of how following the Bible to the letter has proven to be the most effective, rewarding and harmonious way to approach a society or a personal life.

An example of the good that can happen when changing a society's rules to be more in line with the Bible is the remarkable transformation of the city of Shimabuku, Japan. Shimabuku was rediscovered by American GIs during WWII, 30 years after the Bible was presented to them by an American missionary, who convinced them to adopt the Ten Commandments as Shimabuku’s legal code and the Sermon on the Mount as their guide to social conduct. Nurtured on the Bible, a whole generation of Shimabukans had drawn from it their ideas of human dignity and of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. The result was remarkable. Shimabuku for years had no jail, no brothel, no drunkenness, no divorce; and there was a high level of health and happiness. The Bible was referred to to solve any problem that came up. (That is what I did/do in my life too, which has been the exact thing that changed my life for the better).

The bottom line here … and an appeal to any open-minded or religious liberals, blacks and Latinos in this important election year … is to recognize that liberalism is a bad choice for two reasons: (1) It has never worked, but instead has created chaos and grief, both spiritually/experientially and economically (and the current administration is severely hurting the economy by mounting great debts and causing jobs to be lost), and (2) It is against what is in the Bible.

On a more ominous note here is what the Bible says about those who vote for people who promote and legalize sin. (And the Bible says that wisdom begins with a fear of God.)

People are offending God by voting for the proponents of sin (liberals). They also are putting themselves in jeopardy with God. Romans 1:32, “Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them” (for one, by how they vote). And the “things” being spoken of in that verse are spelled out right before that verse and are common tenets in liberalism and secularism. Romans 1:25//31, “Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator. For this reason God gave them up to vile lusts; for both their females changed the natural use of their bodies into that which is unnatural; likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.” (e.g. AIDS.) “Unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, void of understanding, faithless.” And 2Thessalonians 2:12 says, “that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing” (by how they vote) “may be condemned.”

Some might view some of these statements by God and some of my statements as harsh. And if they are in one of the liberal agenda groups I mentioned they might even feel attacked. But then again, others might see these statements in the Bible and by me as giving them an opportunity to finally and completely identify with goodness and righteousness. I know for me, a key Bible revelation that got me to convert from being a wimpy liberal who overlooked most sin, into becoming a Christian, was the reality that the Bible says that God “hates” sin and it makes Him very angry. It made me see that deep down I too hated sin and it made me angry, but was too intimidated by my liberal peers to allow myself to see that. I really hated the fact that I and nearly all of my liberal friends were having broken relationships, addictions and lack of deep fulfillment and peace because of liberal ways. It was very liberating for me to see that though my feelings weren’t in line with my liberal friends, they were with an almighty and all good Creator of the universe and me … and who would have the final say over my eternal destiny and my peace on Earth. And it was exhilarating to discover that God had given perfect instructions in the Bible on how I should conduct my life so it would be sinless and in good harmony with my mind/heart/body/spirit, others and God. And I tried them and they worked. I didn’t want to just be “loved” or “understood” as to why I was taking a dysfunctional approach … I just wanted to get on with knowing THE truth and the optimum ways to approach inner and outer life. Taking that new approach allowed a long lost strength in me to emerge. And I became much happier and energized because of it. So basically, I was converted by truth and righteousness, not love or sympathy. The love came later, both from God and the community that I could now feel a part of because we were seeing the same thing: that the optimum way to approach life is to submit our lives to obedience to a holy God, whose rules we had a strong hunger to continually come to know (and still do) through study of the Bible He gave us.

My Black Dad & Obama by Lloyd Marcus

I am a black tea party patriot faced with a serious problem concerning my 83 year old father. Dad is an extraordinary man whose life epitomizes the greatness of America.


In the 50s, married with a wife, three kids and employed as a laborer, dad was among the first blacks to break the color barrier into the Baltimore Fire Dept. The white firefighters treated dad like scum and boldly displayed their displeasure with having a “n” in their firehouse.

Dad was the young associate pastor of a storefront church. He treated his 'haters' with love and strove to be the best Christian and firefighter he could be. Dad won “Firefighter of the Year” two times and eventually the respect and admiration of his white fellow firefighters. A white firefighter who once threatened to punch dad in his “black nose” risked his life by going back into a burn building and saved dad's life. The two firefighters became lifelong friends.

While married with a wife and five kids, working as a firefighter and an associate pastor, dad attended college part-time until he graduated. Dad later earned his doctorate degree, which led to him pastoring large churches and authoring a book. Dad also became Chaplain of the Baltimore Fire Dept. Dad's from “laborer with a wife and children to a doctorate degree” success story is the result of his character, faith in Christ and hard work. Dad earned every achievement; no liberal democrat demanded government lowered standards or entitlement programs.

Now, here is my problem I mentioned. Dad loves Barack Obama, a man whose philosophy goes against everything I thought my dad stood for. Despite my attempts to convince dad otherwise, based on my personal experiences attending over 200 tea parties across America traveling on Tea Party Express, dad persists in believing the rallies are racist. Dad believes all criticism of Obama and his agenda is racist. It appears no amount of truth will penetrate the wall of affection dad has for the historic figure he never imagined would exist in his lifetime.

Out of respect, I have not confronted dad, my hero, regarding his irrational support for a president whose agenda so radically goes against his Christian faith; gay marriage, abortion, the murderous partial birth abortion and etc. I also thought, “Dad still bares emotional scars from the horrible racism he experienced in his youth. So perhaps I should be a good son, give the old man a pass and let him enjoy his black president.”

But witnessing the growing tyranny of the Obama regime and his American death march to socialism, I have come to realize it is my patriotic duty to confront my father with the facts about Obama. The stakes are far too high to simply let the old black man enjoy worshiping his first black president. No! America is at risk.

Though in his 80s, dad's is still sharp and pastors four churches. He is bright, articulate and most importantly come November, a voter with influence. Whether dad chooses to accept them on not, I must inform him of the facts about Obama's agenda. Then, when dad goes behind the curtain of the voting booth, he will have to chose between pulling the lever for Godly principles or skin color.

Most of dad's idolatry for president Obama is centered around his skin color. Racism and idolatry are wrong, even when committed by my beloved dad.

I have faith that still surviving deep within dad's “Obama Zombie” brain is the wise, wonderful, righteous and Christian man I have known all of my life.

Disapproving relatives have expressed fear for my safety warning, “Lloyd is foolishly putting his head on the chopping block!”

Think about that folks. My black relatives fear I may suffer physical harm from fellow blacks for daring to disagree with our black president. Meanwhile, whites are afraid to speak out against our black president for fear of being called racist. Dear Lord, what is going on in our country?

Patriot brothers and sisters, the bottom line is while I am not advocating rudeness or bad behavior, it is time we stand up and be more confrontational for our freedoms, liberty and culture. Prayerfully ask God for wisdom regarding the proper timing and approach. But we must start confronting Obama-ites with the truth. We can not allow ourselves to be silenced for fear of being called racist and other threats.

Admittedly, this will be uncomfortable. But many before us have sacrificed all for America. America is worth a little discomfort. My prayers, love and support are with you. God bless.
