The Voter ID bill continues to be a topic of hot discussion. Is there really voter fraud that needs to be addressed? Or is the notion of voter fraud a red herring used to draw attention away from unnecessary voter restrictions? Why has the Department of Justice filled a lawsuit against North Carolina? What is likely to be the outcome of this lawsuit? Questions, questions, and more questions niggle at the mind of the poor citizen intent on doing his or her duty as a citizen while earning a living, rearing children, and all the rest.

Help is on the way. Jay Delancy will speak on "Voter Fraud: Fact or Fiction, & and What's Happening with the DOJ Lawsuit?" at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15 at the Bridge Pointe Hotel across the bridge from New Bern. Jay is the retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who founded the Voter Integrity Project for North Carolina patterned on similar undertakings in other states. He has assembled a team which has done extensive research and documentation. This will be an opportunity to get up to date, truthful information. If one can judge by past speeches, the delivery will be humorous rather than dry, and the "Q & A" session will be lively.

This Voter Fraud program is sponsored by the Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association. It's free, and open to the public.
